i had the double-bed unit on the ground floor and had a fantastic 2-night stay in this spotlessly clean b&b and the bedding and pillows were so comfy, i slept like a baby, and woke up to a lovely cooked breakfast which was included in the price .. it's about a 15-min walk from portree, but i didn't bother going out again in the evening after my hikes, instead i had sandwiches/snacks with me for my dinner, as there was a fridge in my room as well as a kettle + complimentary tea & coffee .. joan-ann, my host, was absolutely charming and i would definitely stay here again !

Joan Ann was the most gracious host! We stayed 2 nights while on a tour & found the room was clean and comfortable; breakfast was splendid, and the view was lovely! The location was about a 15 min walk to the city center, but the view and accommodations made it worth the sacrifice of location. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay for 2 nights in the front ocean-view room. Comfortable bed/pillows and good size private bathroom as well. We were booked here as part of a 3-day isle of Skye tour but it’s a fair walk into the city, but we were OK with that. Joan Ann was a great host; very friendly and attentive to our needs. Great hearty breakfast included and great casual conversation with her. We would definitely recommend this BnB. Tks Joan Ann for making our 1st trip to Portree more memorable.

Just spent 4 nights at this excellent B&B and looked after very well by Joan Ann. She was really friendly and chatty and recommended various places to visit off the usual tourist routes. The breakfasts were first class with linen tablecloth and napkins. A good touch. Our downstairs room was spacious and very comfortable. The decor in the room and ensuite looked new and the shower had a really powerful kick to it. Very good. We would certainly use the place again and would have no hesitation in recommending it. As we said to Joan Ann on leaving - She was very good at her job! Well done, Alan & Maureen, Glasgow.

This was our first time visit but we will use again. We received a very warm welcome on arrival. We had phoned ahead to say when we would arrive. I was up on business for a meeting. We got settled into the room which was extremely comfortable. In the morning we woke up to a lovely sea view. I had my meeting and returned for a good nights sleep. We went for breakfast and received a very warm greeting. I had a very hearty breakfast that would set me up for the day. We paid for our accommodation and loaded the car. We will use this establishment again and would not hesitate to recommend this b & b to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at Woodlands with host Joan Ann! She was extremely helpful and friendly, arranging a taxi for us to dinner and preparing us a nice home-cooked breakfast each morning. The location is an easy walk to town and central for everything to do on Syke. The suite downstairs was comfortable and had everything we needed.

A friend and I recently stayed two nights in a twin room. Accommodations were spotless and well maintained. Simple set up but was perfect for our needs. Joan Ann was wonderful! Very accommodating and gave great local recommendations. Breakfast was great as well!

I fully recommend to use this accommodation, Joan Ann was a fantastic host,very very friendly. She was very informative and gave advice what to see and where to eat. Breakfast was small but delicious. The location of the property is perfect for views and going into town. I would stay at this property if I came back to Isle of Skye. The room was cozy but clean.
