Portsmouth Hotels with Gym

Location is the only thing this hitel has going for it, we booked it as we normally can rely on a Premier Inn, but not on this trip. First check in was hard, only one machine working, no staff and the second machine not playing ball. When we were supported to check in, we were given instructions for a lift that did not make sense, essentially the scanner was broken so anyone from the roadside could get to your floor/room, and believe me there were quite a lot of strange people around. The room when we entered was dirty, it had not been vacuumed, pictures were hanging off the wall, you could see two toned paint where they had tried patching things up. We thought ok, it's late, let's just get some sleep, I thought the bed felt damp, I did not get a good night's sleep. Sad, as would always pick a Premier inn, but I may choose another chain for a while.

I read a few negative reviews before arriving here and I was a bit worried about how my stay would go. I have to say all of theses reviews were proved wrong. We had a really good stay. Staff were friendly and helpful and the reception staff especially were constantly working on reception, in the bar and helping clear after meals and breakfast. Our room was very clean and convenient. The only issue is the separate charge for parking. Having to pay on a machine at a hotel is unusual and unnecessary.

Arrived earlier than planned, staff where so helpful and hot us checked in. The foyer looks amazing, spacious and welcoming. The fish tank is a added bonus. The room is just what we needed, plenty of space to store clothes. The bathroom was a little on the small side and the shower wasn't very powerful but the rest of the room and hotel still needs 5*

I use this hotel whenever I visit the city as it is always clean and comfortable with friendly helpful staff nothing is too much trouble . The breakfast is excellent, a great varied self service buffet. It is I an ideal position for all transport links close to rail and bus station and ferry service .It is very close to the Historic Dockyard which is a must for visitors also Gunwharf Keys a must for shopaholic. Portsmouth has a huge variety of attractions ,there is a good free booklet in reception with maps etc My only criticism is that they have no decaf tea available in either the reception or restaurant luckily I always take my own in case .

Premier Inn Hotel Portsmouth Port Solent is set in the navy heartland of Portsmouth, close to the A27. We're handy for business and pleasure, with some top attractions just a short journey away. Amazing position, great location. Maria, on reception was a 'star' -what a welcome. Friendly and professional. Treat two pots of ice cream, added bonus. A room off the dining area, first on the right, no miles of walking, excellent. Clean and comfortable, as the bathroom, lovely and clean. Breakfast the usual, seriously manic. Extremely busy, buffet, just warm food, lots of choice, wonderful hash browns. No prisoners taken, still enjoyable. Tables cleaned in between guests, well done. Only down side 'He' has now become a registered disabled, no parking available in the small parking area located on site which was annoying. We parked in the underground Gunwharf car park, the charge was reimbursed which was fine, however, it was an issue for him getting to and from the hotel. Did not spoil our stay, loved it, hopefully will stay again.

The breakfast is good, the location is super good, the service is good, and the price is affordable! Hee hee, it is suitable for taking children. There is no parking lot, but there are many parking lots nearby, and the location is super good.
