Perfect location! And perfect room. Can't go wrong here. Next time in the area, we will definitely make this our stop. It was an unexpected surprise on our trip - that ended up being a highlight. Everything we wanted to do was in walking distance and the rooms were perfect! HIGHLY recommend!

Really great set up and very comfortable. Walkable to everything you want to do in Portsmouth. Room was very spacious, including full kitchen and washer dryer. Was also very clean - well worth it and would definitely go back. Interesting set up in that there was no reception, but check in and check out was super easy, and having parking was great too

We absolutely LOVED our stay at The Inn Downtown. The rooms are amazingly stylish (I'll have to ask them about the wallpaper...loved it), and very clean and large! They're more akin to studio apartments than they are hotel rooms, with well-equipped kitchens and spacious baths. Parking is easy and adjacent...you can come and go as you please without the hassle/expense of a valet. The location can't be beat. Top-notch restaurants of all price points/cuisines are within an easy 5-minute walk. Bring home leftovers and pop them into the spacious Smeg fridge. Mini-bar options are plentiful and well-priced. We look forward to staying at The Inn Downtown the next time we are in/near Portsmouth.

Excellent accommodation for a quick visit to Portsmouth. Great communication both pre and post from the owners. Clean fully serviced accommodation in historic house that is part of a group of historic buildings. Restaurants and pubs withing 2 mins walk. Only downside was refuse lorries early at the Hilton opposite emptying bins. 7am

We are from New England, this was our first trip to Portsmouth. Our apartment was immaculate, very comfortable and perfectly located. We are well traveled and really loved the simplicity of the self check-in and check-out. Super job Doug and Abby, we will be back! PS. Thank you Abby for finding and sending back my sunglasses.

Clean, well-appointed room with a useful kitchen! Had everything I needed while making an unscheduled stop on a business trip. Walking distance to downtown. Owners were easy to work with and responded quickly to questions. Would definitely stay again!

The Inn Downtown is in a great location to walk around downtown Portsmouth. There is so much to do, and tons of great restaurants in the area. The room was clean and spacious, and the kitchenette was nice to have. One thing to note is it is pet friendly.

This is an absolutely beautiful place to stay and is so centrally located. Everything within walking distance. The room was extremely clean and comfortable. We had absolutely no complaints and would definitely stay here again when we are in the area again.

Très déçus par rapport aux commentaires flatteurs . Y avons passé le réveillon de noël . Les photos sont très bien prises car notre studio était minuscule par rapport au descriptif. Nous déplorons le self check in très impersonnel pour un inn . Toutes les directives sont envoyées par mail et quand on ne parle pas bien l’anglais , ce n’est pas facile à comprendre et surtout par un grand froid avec un ressenti de - 20 degrés celcius . La déco Ikea est tout de même jolie . Manque d’une petite attention pour marquer le réveillon en fonction du prix élevé . Parking 29$ + taxes . Vu que vous ne voyez personne , vous ne connaissez pas le prix final , qui vous est envoyé 2 jours plus tard et il semble qu’il faille faire la vaisselle pour éviter 30$ de frais supplémentaires. De plus pas de tire-bouchon ; génial pour le vin 🍷 pour un réveillon . Belle rénovation dans un quartier qui doit être sympa en dehors des réveillons .
