We LOVED Villa Fortuna. We stayed in the Bouganvillea room for 7 nights and could have stayed forever. The view from the balcony in the room is utterly breathtaking and right out of a dream. Diana is an extraordinary host and helped us with every question we had and provided some great recommendations. Everything was clean and functional, there were no issues at all!

The rooms were very nice. However, the location was not how it seems online. It was 800 steps up from the beach, very little food nearby. It took my husband and I who are young and in shape 20 minutes straight up hill one way. They are also not very honest. We got laundry done and the receipt said 28 euros. Our hotel charged us a made up extra 20 euro tax. We also asked them to schedule a luggage shuttle to the port and it never showed. Overall, we would not recommend this place. Did not have a great experience and hope others keep this in mind when booking.

We really loved our stay at Villa Fortuna. The apartment was decorated beautifully, and was immaculately clean!! By that, I meant absolutely spotless, including the lobby area. (Shout out to the wonderful Marta!!) Our teenagers (19 and 17) slept on the pull out sofa, and they were plenty comfy, and there was enough space for all four of us. The villa is in Upper Positano, but as a result, the cost is half of what you would spend to stay closer to the beach. Still, all of Positano is walkable from the villa (if you are in decent shape - or you can use the public bus), and we liked that Upper Positano is removed from the crowds. We walked down to the town center each morning, then back up each evening with no problem. Two nights I was even in heels! It's great exercise! The villa is very quiet - we never heard neighbors or outside noise. There is a bakery literally next door, which is where we had breakfast and coffee/cappuccinos each morning. There are also several wonderful restaurants nearby - with gorgeous views! And the bus stop is right outside the door - so no lugging luggage up steps! And like I mentioned, if walking steps isn't for you, you have the option of taking the bus, which will drop you right outside the door. Diana was great at communicating with us before and during the trip, and she helped us arrange several activities and had wonderful recommendations for a private boat charter, restaurants, a private airport transfer that dropped us at our door, etc. Thank you Diana for a wonderful stay!

The property is well situated for taxis/buses as it is just off the two-way main road going to/from Positano. There is an ATM outside and a small newsagents and mini-market within metres of the front door. There are also bars/cafes nearby. The views from outside the villa are spectacular, with a small playground and beautifully tiled viewing platform adjacent to the property. Walking to the main street in Positano (Piazza dei Mulini) is also possible (as there are several staircase routes that start within 100m of the property). Different staircase routes connect to different points along Viale Pasitea. The owner/operator of the property was friendly, pleasant, and always behind the small reception desk when we left the property each morning (and contactable via whatsapp). This lady was lovely and let us store luggage by reception before departure. The room itself was light, spacious, clean and well maintained. We stayed in a room named Chorisia, which had a large comfortable bed, usb sockets, air conditioning, a large TV, a great shower, and a spacious terrace with hot tub. The terrace is large enough for a table/chairs and two sun loungers and overlooks the bay in front of Fornillo Beach. Overall a great room in a great location.

Fantastic location, fantastic view from the balcony with the huge bonus of the hot tub. Very clean and spacious and shops restaurant on the doorstep. Owner so helpful and all though no reception out of season communication via what app was so easy. Highly recommend. Only downside like all hotels in this area is car parking...we visited in February so I would imagine a bit of a nightmare in peak season

We loved Villa Fortuna! Gorgeous view and perfect space for two. We were on our honeymoon and it was romantic, clean and lux. The service was amazing and Dianna and her mother was readily available with everything we needed. We were treated to welcome champagne and a nice note!
