B&B Al Convento

Persoonallinen ja mieleenpainuva majoittuminen aivan upeassa huoneessa. Sijainti kävelykeskustassa täydellinen - ainoastaan auto jouduttiin jättämään kauemmas.

Often in Potenza for work. It's the first time I've stayed in the historic center of Potenza. I have always avoided it due to the parking problem. After reading the good reviews I decided to give it a try. Mrs Antonella was very kind and guided me by phone to the B&B in a lovely little square in front of the beautiful 12th century Church of San Michele. I was able to park the car, a SW, in a small garage after doing about ten maneuvers! The B&B is located on the first floor of a historic building adjacent to Via Pretoria. The lady who welcomed me was very kind. Door to the old room, ancient like all the furniture in the room. The two bedside tables are sad, not antique, recent and too light compared to the dark antique wood of the other furniture. Bed with red imitation leather headboard. The pillows stored in the wardrobe and on the bed two red leather "sausages" instead of pillows. The bed has a topper, this has never happened to me before, it would have made Barbieri happy! Excellently heated room but not to my taste. I don't think it's a luxury B&B. Bathroom without window with noisy vortex. Cold light LED bulbs on antique chandeliers. Bathroom mirror with not exactly ancient drawings, shower head with a lot of limescale, almost non-existent bathroom kit. Come on, it deserves full marks and it's a very clean structure overall. The location in the center is certainly an added value.

Nella parte antica della città, questo B&b è davvero grazioso. Silenzioso, con belle camere, è una buona opzione per il turista. Naturalmente il trovare un parcheggio non è semplice, ma questo capita spesso nei vecchi centri storici. L'accoglienza dei proprietari è calorosa e professionale.

Che dire? Pensavo fosse meglio! Siamo arrivati a Potenza con la pioggia e abbiamo raggiunto il bed and breakfast 'Al convento' grazie alle indicazioni dettagliate della gentilissima signora Antonella che ci ha guidato al telefono. Il posto però lascia un po' a desiderare. Non c'è parcheggio, bisogna lasciare la propria auto nei pressi dell'alloggio (pagando 5€ per un pass che per fortuna ti fornisce il propietario del b&b). Non mi aspettavo certo un hotel 4 stelle ma sicuramente c'è molto da rivedere. Cominciamo dalla colazione. Non c'è una gran varietà di cibo e bevande: una torta, un succo, latte e caffè; uno yogurt??... è finito, ti viene detto! Cereali....solo di un tipo. Passiamo alla stanza: per quattro persone ci è stata assegnata una stanza con un letto matrimoniale (vedi foto), una brandina e un altro lettino situato in un angolo stretto incastrato (vedi foto) con un armadio, all'interno del quale si trova una coperta macchiata (vedi foto). Nella stanza è presente anche un comò dove riporre la propria roba... anzi no, i cassetti sono tutti occupati da biancheria dei proprietari!!? La nostra roba va tenuta negli zaini o nell'armadio di cui di ho scritto sopra!.. Le lenzuola poi, non hanno il profumo di pulito, non sono stirate e sono coperte da piumoni molto datati che non sono necessari in pieno agosto!. Non manca la gentilezza dei proprietari che forse si affidano a chi non è proprio del mestiere per quanto riguarda pulizia e gestione di b&b. Ultima pecca: polvere un po' ovunque e qualche formica (una anche sul letto). Mi dispiace, non sono rimasta contenta del soggiorno, ma faccio un grosso in bocca al lupo ai proprietari affinché possano migliorare e rendere le vacanze di chi, come me, paga e chiede solo di trovare un posto comodo e pulito.
