B&B Al Convento

Bella struttura antica, sita in una splendida piazzetta in pieno centro, di fronte alla chiesa di San Michele. Mi è stata assegnata la suite indipendente: molto confortevole, pulita, ben ristrutturata. Bellissimo pavimento e begli arredi. Letto comodo, biancheria pulita e fresca. Il bagno era pulito e funzionale: la doccia è forse da rivedere, ogni tanto si stacca il perno che tiene il telefono fisso al muro. E' mancata l'acqua alle 18:00 di sera e, per quanto non sia responsabilità dei proprietari, che peraltro mi hanno pure avvisata, sarebbe stato meglio avvertire al momento della prenotazione e soprattutto trovare un'alternativa...perchè si rischiava di non poter fare una doccia per diverse ore. La colazione non è un granchè. La torta non era fresca e il succo ACE l'ho dovuto lasciare perchè davvero stantio. I proprietari gentilissimi e molto disponibili. Rivedete la colazione, perchè tutto il resto è veramente gradevole.

Ho alloggiato nella struttura con mio marito durante le nostre vacanze itineranti in Basilicata. Sicuramente caratteristico per posizione e struttura storica, non mi sento di giudicare gli arredi da un punto di vista professionale in quanto non è il mio mestiere, posso solo dire non essere di mio giusto e soprattutto suppellettili e biancheria non propriamente freschi. Non ho per nulla apprezzato trovare in bagno delle confezioni di doccia schiuma e detergente intimo già aperti (di supermercato peraltro) e quindi toccati da altri. Ahimè la struttura cade molto il basso con la colazione preparata su richiesta e a pagamento , da una signora totalmente priva di esperienza e in una cucina sporca e male attrezzata. Ma devo andare oltre perché la cosa più grave è stato aver somministrato consapevolmente prodotti scaduti da diverse settimane. Abbiamo avuto modo di vederlo nel momento in cui abbiamo riposto dell’acqua in frigo. Rifiutando la colazione del secondo giorno la proprietà ci restituisce il corrispondente importo. Non mi sembra ci sia da aggiungere altro perché la totale irresponsabilità è inaccettabile. Questo non è un errore casuale, è l’atteggiamento di chi pensa di farla franca. Non solo non lo consiglio, ma suggerisco un repulisti generale in tutti i sensi. Magari partite dal frigo.

Often in Potenza for work. It's the first time I've stayed in the historic center of Potenza. I have always avoided it due to the parking problem. After reading the good reviews I decided to give it a try. Mrs Antonella was very kind and guided me by phone to the B&B in a lovely little square in front of the beautiful 12th century Church of San Michele. I was able to park the car, a SW, in a small garage after doing about ten maneuvers! The B&B is located on the first floor of a historic building adjacent to Via Pretoria. The lady who welcomed me was very kind. Door to the old room, ancient like all the furniture in the room. The two bedside tables are sad, not antique, recent and too light compared to the dark antique wood of the other furniture. Bed with red imitation leather headboard. The pillows stored in the wardrobe and on the bed two red leather "sausages" instead of pillows. The bed has a topper, this has never happened to me before, it would have made Barbieri happy! Excellently heated room but not to my taste. I don't think it's a luxury B&B. Bathroom without window with noisy vortex. Cold light LED bulbs on antique chandeliers. Bathroom mirror with not exactly ancient drawings, shower head with a lot of limescale, almost non-existent bathroom kit. Come on, it deserves full marks and it's a very clean structure overall. The location in the center is certainly an added value.
