Holiday Inn - the Niu, Amity Potsdam, an IHG Hotel

The hotel is very new, the room is relatively large, and there are many people staying. Breakfast did not eat, because it is very close to the train station, thinking about not wasting time But I don't know why, there is no standard double room, although the two beds are next to each other, but the mattress is separate, people who want to keep a little distance can not consider it.
Design Apartments - "Villa Arnim"

The classicistic Villa Arnim was built in 18599/60 and designed by Ferdinand von Arnim, the master-builder of the king. We spent the afternoon and one night in August and enjoyed our stay. The apar**ent had a living room, bed room and a kitchenette all very well appointed. The bathroom is brand new, the beds are very comfortable with high quality linens.

Due to COVID-19 situation is off course different and not as usual, despite this reception was very kind and helpful. I had pre-booked table for the restaurant, but it appeared to be closed when I arrived. This one should have told in advance, I especially looked for hotel with restaurant ! Breakfast offer was limited due to COVID-19, but acceptable. I did not get all advantages because of my seniority with Accor. Nothing negative to say about room and/or bed. Parking spaces for cars is limited, they did find a solution for me, but it is to small

Probably due to my IHG Ambassador/Platinum status I was upgraded to a spacious Junior Suite/Handicapped Room on the 7th floor which was just great. The only thing that puzzled me was, that the bed was not next to the bathroom, but right when you walked in next to the kitchenette, whereas the seating area and dinner table was next to the bathroom. Was there a mix-up when placing the furniture? ;-) Other than that, everything was great again: bedding, breakfast, location. Just a relaxing stay at an affordable price!
B&B HOTEL Potsdam

Worst hotel I stayed in Germany during my trip. For a EUR 90 per night you get a small, basic room, dirty old black carpets, smell of sewage in the bathroom and from the air conditioning unit so you have to keep the window open all day and night. There is no safe or any other amenities in the room like tea/coffee maker, water or fridge. But for your EUR 90 you will get eco crazy Management ideas like recycled brown toilet paper, paper cups instead of glass, experimental ROOM CLEANING EVERY OTHER DAY and appalling quality of breakfast consisting of 1 choice of ham and cheese, cereal and a few apples and pears. No scramble eggs or bacon or sausages, and the few boiled eggs that they provide disappear very quickly and are not replaced for 1/2 hr. The breakfast room is so small, people are crowded sitting next to each other feeling uncomfortable during COVID. There is only 1 small elevator and you have to wait for ages for it to come. If you need to stay close to the train station in Potsdam, then the hotel is ok for 1 night, as the beds are relatively comfortable but otherwise I recommend you look elsewhere! I stayed in a sister B&B hotel in Poznan, Poland and it was a completely different experience - a beautiful, new, modern hotel with a fantastic breakfast choice for half the price, so I know that it's the management fault that the Potsdam hotel is run so badly.

A very nice hotel, both regarding location and design. The receptionist was very helpful, and even served in the hotel bar in the evening. Our room (apartment) was very good and very large. Only bad thing was that the room was in a section of the hotel without lift, so we had to carry our luggage 3 floors up. The room (apartment) was very well equipped, and certainly made for several guests at the same time (3 bedrooms). The room had 3 safes, and a huge double coffeemaker with a good selection of coffee capsules. It was WiFi at the hotel, but I did not test this. Breakfast was standard, quite alright. Parking for the car was in fact in a public parking cellar, but it was only 50 meters away from the hotel.
