Beautiful clean villa, staff amazingly attentive, breakfast was awesome. Fridge cold and restocked daily of drinks. Great location with some of the best food iv eaten within a 5minute walk. Bad wifi / cuts out regularly, toilet area constantly smells of sewer, construction noises (we were warned) next door - August 2023*

Lombok Chinese people rarely stay in Kuta for a week and have not heard Chinesetown is very deserted. The resort is amazing. The beautiful courtyard has a special person who pruning flowers and plants every day. The swimming pool is also very good and the service is very good. The staff will say hello. I think it can be improved: 1. Breakfast is a fixed tea coffee juice fruit + an optional staple food, but most of the choices are Benedict eggs. What is more monotonous? If it is not recommended for more than three days, breakfast at the hotel 2 restaurants There are a lot of flies in the room, and it is very annoying when I eat. Although there is a small fan on the table, it does not work much. However, it is a problem in many restaurants in Lombok. 3 The bathroom is semi-open and connected to the backyard. It is also a night when the lights are on the floor and all the bugs are on the floor. . I’ll call the front desk and tell me to turn off the lights. 😂 I hope these measures can do a good job.

It's my first time on Lombok Island, so I stayed only for one night. It has a very calm atmosphere and you can have the best vacation. The hotel was quite quiet and calm as there were not too many hotel rooms. The pick-up service to Kuta city is also very convenient. The facilities were great, especially the pool and private beach. Not only the facilities but also the service was particularly good and kind. Especially the service of Mr. MAYA was nice. Thank you.

20min from airport ,took grab taxi (200k rp) We simply stayed in resort - eat, beach, stroll, simple hike up neighboring hill. Sea is full of seagrass ,not ideal to swim. Not advisable to eat outside warungs,many flies around and on good.

We were 4 nights in the Tropic Resort in the Villa Susan with outdoor pool and outdoor whirlpool and we were absolutely enthusiastic. Location: The Resort is 2 minutes drive from the dreamy beach Selong Belanak. There is a free shuttle service to the beach. The resort is perfectly suited for resters. There are a few very good restaurants in the surroundings of other hotels, where the restaurant of the villa is also excellent. Whoever wants to have more trouble one day can drive about 30 minutes to Kuta. There you can also find bigger supermarkets and an active nightlife. To the villa: The villa is luxurious furnished and offers an outdoor pool and heated outdoor whirlpool a free bathtub a rain shower. The villa is absolutely new and in a top condition. The pool area is not visible from the outside and you enjoy 100% privacy. You have as many useful extras as an outdoor grill, a cozy gas fire, speaker that can be connected to your phone, ice cuff donor, side by side refrigerator, etc. To service: The service was the absolute highlight at our stay. We felt so welcome and well-released. Each individual staff was constantly trying to satisfy us. There is a WhatsApp group where you can order e.g. food or report concerns. The reaction time was less than 5 minutes. We have been traveling in Indonesia for 3 weeks and had several accommodation but here the service was simply the best !

By now you’ve probably looked at reviews and all the stunning online photos—as we did. And you’re probably imagining a lush, beautiful, active lifestyle boutique resort with healthy Ayurvedic food, surf beaches lapping the shore and a yoga studio. This image couldn’t be more wrong. Picture instead a bus stop from the 1960’s on the side of a disused road. This is the feel of the entry restaurant that sits atop a largely arid hillside with none of the lovely plants pictured on the site. There were a couple of palm trees over dying grass, concrete and sand. The photos are so far from the reality that we thought the place was abandoned long ago—and perhaps taken over by squatters who thought they could make a fast buck. We were honestly frightened by what might happen next. While it does indeed seem to be a hotel, the photos and descriptions are so far from reality that we walked around in a stupor trying to sort out the cognitive dissonance. Could it be that the resort that constantly touts itself as a yoga surf resort might have neither yoga nor surf? Not even a real beach? No….couldn’t be. Right? The owner kept asking us what we expected to find and the truth was that the photos were so far from reality that it was hard to even know where to begin. We said we expected a private beach-so he pointed to a fabricated sandy area roughly the side of two kids sandboxes with a metal fence around it. We expected five surf beaches—instead there isn’t any sandy beach at all and the surf spots are accessed by boat for a few. We expected yoga—he assured us there is yoga (though it’s hard to see where he could be hiding it) and other reviewers say the yoga consists of a mat and a spot to practice on your own. We expected plants and trees and a hang out area by the pool. Instead the large pool was empty and the little ones were so full of algae that I wondered whether the “EcoResort” was gathering carbon credits off the green pool growth. It’s a very good thing that we didn’t pay in advance, since we were able to pay only a day’s rate and leave quickly. But the place is so remote that we literally lost five hours of vacation getting there, touring it and getting back to where we started. Not to mention enough money that we could have stayed at a luxury hotel on the island for the amount we tossed away in a rush to leave. The owner was kind enough to offer us tea and let us use his wifi to find another hotel—a kindness we very much appreciated—but our anger grew when we finally settled at a lovely hotel and compared our photos with the ones online. What an utter misrepresentation. We’re uploading the photos here—the one with sand under the shadow of a palm tree and a metal fence—THAT is the beach. We both nearly died laughing when he pointed it out, but the owner was clearly upset and we were just trying to get out without a massive conflict. What a gem!! Was beyond surprised by this resort. Have often found that the pictures are far better than the reality, in this case reality was even better than the pictures. I think they have found the perfect balance between size, exclusivity & quality. There are 10 bungalows on this property, which means that there is little to no noise. It’s right on the beachfront and has the most beautiful gardens which allows for privacy and spaciousness. The rooms and external bathrooms are gorgeous, a great deal of detail and care. The staff all around are gentle, kind and respectful, and always meet you with big warm smiles. We came across many couples, but also some small families. If you’re looking for a party space then this is absolutely not it, but there are more touristy spaces not too far away. It really gives one the sensation of being away from the hustle and bustle where one can just rest. Everything can be organised by the reception. We rented scooters to explore; they arranged surfing lessons at a nearby beach; we did a snorkelling tour to Pink beach (a bit of a drive to get there); a massage in the room; and more available on request. Their pool and lounging areas are spectacular, everything laid out to maximise the view and the breeze of the sea. There is a restaurant on site and meals are delicious with a good variety of food and drink.
