I stayed there the night before I was taking the auto train to Florida. William was at the front desk when I checked in. He was very courteous. I asked him how to get to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner and he gave me very good directions. It was only about a mile away. The breakfast was more than adequate. There was waffles, sausage and scrambled eggs, hot and cold cereal, yogurt, bread for toasting, pastry, juice, coffee and tea. Upon checkout, Andy was at the desk and was very polite and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

I'm just trying to figure out what it is where I keep trying to be Safe and get Help from the people who I thought were supposedly my Government and Law Enforcement Agencies, yet haven't been able to get Anything Accomplished after years of my being in Washington D.C. constantly running up to Capital Hill and/or White House, Not to mention how many other parts of this Hypocrisy in Democracy, yet my trying to constantly keep coming up with the Funding to keep having to fork over paying for Hotels instead of my being jumped and robbed again like how Chicago's Finest claimed what was that got me in that coma to begin with, being chased around the Country by the same types of *****s that in which I originally came to D.C. Metropolitan area thinking that I'd Finally be able to get away from, here now seemingly running Government and Everything else! More than less, I'm just trying to figure out what it is that's got like Every Foreigner and/or LGBTQ Community Member(s) Nationwide chasing me around thinking that if they were to Completely Annoy, Harass, pretty much do Anything that's either going to Kill me off, that and/or giggling from them passing out HIV/AIDS, then calling me Homophobic when I'm Not willing to accept such, putting God knows what in People's Food/Drinks and Cigarettes like it's Legal, somehow having 3rd party Booking sites in on the bogus Game(s) of keeping a person trapped outside until they decide being in relations with individuals who've got the exact same genetic sexual manifest as that of myself, with how many from every other Country(s) in on poisoning others (most of which having the same permanently tanned derriere as I also am Born and Breded with pushing to make sure that they're able to keep the Colored Folks either Trapped in Jail and/or out on the Streets, while everybody who's not from this Country is able to gather up every Everything, and having our Jobs, Religious Freedom(s) Ethical Hospital/Medical Services, and how much of Everything else, while nearly every City and State seemingly making sure that they're keeping US out stranded!

We got off to a bumpy start as the original room assigned had been left unclean. The friendly staff quickly relocated me into a new room and were also able to provide the cooking utensils I requested. (some locations had not been able to do so). The staff is what saved the stay.

I stayed for over three months on an extended stay, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The room was often left dirty and dusty. I had to call the front desk numerous times to report that housekeeping had not attended to my room. The vacuum cleaner was broken and needed parts for replacement, but the response was always to find excuses. The management at this location is disorganized, and I encountered rude responses from the supposed regional manager. The breakfast served daily was nearly inedible, with almost expired yogurt and hard bagels wrapped in plastic. Additionally, we were discouraged from raising any complaints. The pool heating system was broken all winter, with staff continuously stating they were waiting for parts to fix it. Written comments at the reception desk suggested that they try to hold the deposit amount for an extended period and find ways to absorb the whole amount. I would advise staying away from this hotel. The only positive aspect is its location, which is close to Potomac Mills Mall. However, if you are expecting the standard Marriott service, this is not the place. The manager is rude and arrogant, and the staff, including housekeeping and restaurant cooks, do not speak English and seem unhappy to work there. The hotel appears to rely on refugees and temporary workers who are almost forced to be there.

Ccaryan1976We had been driving for 9 hours and pulled off the highway into Hampton Inn Dumfries because we are Hilton Diamond members. We were quickly given a discounted rate and given clean rooms with comfortable bedding and it was very quiet and we all got a really good nights sleep. Breakfast was made available a little early as we were up before dawn and were able to enjoy coffee and bagels and the company of the a.m. staff who were so friendly and kind enough to chat with us. We (my husband, myself, and our son who currently serves in the military) would definitely stay here again. As Hilton Diamond members, we are at several Hilton locations every year and for road tripping, Dumfries location is in the top 5 in the country. Great staff. Great service.

GGuest UserWe stayed here for one night as a halfway point traveling home from Myrtle Beach. From the minute we walked in I was immediately impressed by the level of cleanliness. It smelled clean and was visually appealing. I was greated right away with a smile by the staff member at the front desk (Cesare) even though he was waiting on the people in front of me. We had a room with 2 queen beds, the room was large and my two small children had plenty room to roam around within the room. The bathroom is separated into 2 sections (one area with a sink and shower the other is toilet and small sink). Very clean and appears well maintained. In the morning my husband commented on how comfortable the bed was. My daughters liked the little desk area to draw and color and it made them feel like big kids ”at work”. I especially loved the oversized couch very comfortable to relax on. The bed next to the ”work area” is also the bed in front of the TV and in front of the toilet section. It would be difficult to watch the TV from the other bed (based on placement of the TV) so we put the little ones there and they watched their tablets. The doors to the bathroom areas are on sliders and are frosted glass - my only complaint was that when my husband used the bathroom in the middle of the night it became very bright in the room when he turned on the light. The breakfast was one of the best that I have had at a hotel that provides free breakfast. Plenty of options that even my picky 3 and 5 yr olds enjoyed. Overall the staff was so nice and the hotel was very clean. We will definitely be booking this hotel again next year as we make our way down to Myrtle and then again on the way home.

The Hampton Inn was one of the best hotels I've experienced in terms of comfort. It ticked almost every box to meet an excellent stay. The room was spotless, all amenities were stocked. The mattresses and linens felt brand new, crisp, and clean; and, finally a hotel that gets the pillows right! They weren't flat or too full, and there was a nice assortment of pillow lofts. They also seemed new. A fridge, refrigerator and coffee maker in the room was nice. The bathroom was updated, with hot water at a good pressure. To be super picky -- no safe in the room seemed like an oversight, and the towels were too thin for my liking. For the price and location, this hotel does it right! We did hear the train, which was VERY loud in the afternoon, but heard nothing during the night or morning. We were there on a weekend, so there could be a limited schedule?

GGuest UserOverall experience was Great. The reason I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 was due to the thermostat and the firmness of the mattress (personal opinion). I came up during a terrible ice/snow storm.. and the thermostat seemed to keep fluctuating temperatures up and down. Took me 30 minutes to keep adjusting the temperature... until I ended up giving up. The ventilation in my room wasn’t the greatest either. The mattress was too firm for my liking, however the sheets were insanely comfy! 10/10 cleanliness and the bathroom shower was out of this world 🙌🏻 The stay was very comfortable considering my frustration on the thermostat.

The hotel seems fine, pleasant staff and clean rooms etc. I had 2 issues that made it where I’d be reluctant to go back, though both could probably be fixed. 1. There was some kind of high pitch sound that was similar to a beep but seemed to be related to the plumbing. It happened roughly once a minute which made it hard to get to and stay asleep. 2. Then, in the morning, showering, the shower products attached to the walls (39 degrees north brand) had awful package design so you couldn’t read the description of what each bottle was. Grey bottle with pale green product description (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) so you couldn’t see the difference. Point proven by staff who apparently couldn’t see it either because there were 2 conditioners, 1 body wash and zero shampoo - which I verified after my shower with cell phone flashlight and glasses on. All in all, though the rooms and staff were good, but the whole purpose of being there was to get a good night sleep and shower which were both messed up.

GGuest UserI was very excited about my stay here, as I heard many wonderful things, especially from this site, but my experience was very different. If you want to find a delightful inn to stay at for your short trip to Woodbridge, STAY AT ANY OTHER ONE EXCEPT THIS ONE!!! The second that I walked into my room, a strange stench enveloped me. That part didn't really bother me, but the black mold in the bathroom did. I believe it was on the shower curtains and the ceiling of the bathroom. Then there were several interesting stains on the different pieces of furniture in the room. I will not say what it was, but if you have been to a low-rated motel or hotel, you know exactly the kind of stain that I am talking about. There were several on the couch, on the table, and the floor. The room was clearly overlooked when cleaning, and I would not be surprised if the maid didn't even change the sheets. There was even a dirty tea bag in the tea dispenser. Otherwise, the room was somewhat clean. There were different hairs on the towels and on the bed, but after what had been previously experienced, that seemed the least of our problems. Then there was the issue with the breakfast. If you want a nice, hot, breakfast buffet, go to the Hampton Inn. Granola bars, yogurt, and frozen breakfast sandwiches were the only options given. They literally say on their listing that they have a hot breakfast featuring foods like”eggs, waffles and meat to healthy options like yogurt and fresh fruit.” What a straight up lie! The only true thing that they wrote here was the yogurt, and even so, I think it was expired. To all of the travelers that are excited for their trip to Woodbridge: spend that extra 20 - 30 dollars for a stay at the Hampton in, because not only will you have a clean room, but an actual breakfast that will not require you to travel a few miles to be able to eat.
