Spent four days at the Viva with my husband to be in town to visit relatives. The room was modest but clean and comfortable, fresh towels daily but no safe in room. When shutters are closed, you cannot hear a sound from outside. The breakfast in the mornings was quite good. Great hard rolls and a fabulous display of pastries. The restaurant downstairs is wonderful for lunch and dinner. Great pizzas, wines and entrees. The staff is wonderful, especially Marika and Emalia at the front desk. Safe, warm, welcoming and a great value. Also, for an additional 10-euro one can park the car under the hotel. This is wonderful as there is very, very little on street parking in that part of town. This was not my first time at the Viva and it won't be my last. Really like this hotel, great value and wonderful people.

This hotel is #1 in Avellino for a Reason. 1. The room is amazing. It really is a suite. The living room area is large and comfortable. The bedroom is extremely large. A King size bed. The room was extremely clean. We had a great view from the hotel. The Bathroom was large and the shower quite big with a rain shower head. The provide slippers and a bath robes. The closet in the bedroom is quite large and allows for all of your clothing 2. Location. The location is not far from the town centre but depending on how you get to the hotel - by Bus from another city (we came from Salerno) you will need a taxi to get to the hotel. To get a Taxi call the hotel and they can help as Taxis are not easy to get. 3. Domenico - the Taxi Driver. We were fortunate to have Domenico as our Taxi Driver. He is an older Gentleman. He was amazing. We used him to get us to get to a small town near Avellino (Santo Stefano del Sole). He was always on time - charge a reasonable fare. He picked us up at 6:15 when it was time to go back to the Train Station (no trains travel to Avellino). 4. Getting there. We took a long route to get to the Hotel as we were in Naples prior to leaving for Avellino. But the Hotel Desk Manager told us there is a bus that comes straight to the Hotel from Roma. As we are thinking of going to the Hotel again just for R&R - I would find out how one can get the train from Roma. Also Avellino is close to many places - Pompei, Salerno, Sorrento - just need to figure out how to get to them from the Hotel - I am sure the Hotel staff will help. 5, The staff - from the moment you arrive you are treated wonderfully. The fellow who looks after the bar area and the restaurant at night - Marco is extremely friendly - speaks great English. 6. The hotel has a nice sized heart shaped pool with a pool side canopy for eating. 7. The Hotel has an incredible restaurant. We had one of the most memorable dinners there. Marco is a gracious server and host and the food was so good. Worth going to dinner at the hotel. 8. Breakfast is ok. They have you basic breakfast - juice, croissants, coffee. 9. Simply an amazing hotel - new, modern, clean and super staff. Thank you to everyone at the Hotel de la Ville.

We stayed in this building with my companion for two nights and dinner for two nights, and sincerely I wouldn't know if I would like to praise the hotel or the restaurant anymore. The perfectness is difficult to find in both activities, but the couple has been very successful. Accommodation and courtesy at the reception with Carmine impeccable, large room ( number 1 ), clean and with the balcony that gives the main road. High professional restaurant with a Chef and a star-table service, difficult to forget the dish-painting, candles with fantasy and stratospheric taste or the beautiful chocolate-smelting tortoise with Frozen at the Halloween ...da dream. Breakfast served by the efficient and sympathetic Loredana, ready for every request always with a smile. It will be forever my reference point for every visit to Telese. Siny congratulations to all staff.

The hotel is fascinating because the ground floor was left exactly as it was in the early 900s, but of course with the small changes adapted to the current needs of guests. My husband and I took the suite and we were wonderfully:all perfect! The swimming pool is beautiful and well-treated and is next to another full of thermal water of Telese.In addition, the hotel is located in a huge, well-treated garden and for those who want it is a great spa. All the people working on us are very nice and nice. It is, we wanted to spend six days of complete relaxation and here at Grand' Hotel Telese we managed to get fully.We'll be back!

Lucia that manages the structure is very kind and has given us thousand advice on how to visit the territory, his breakfast is really the best he ever eaten, all the fresh and excellent products, And especially I was surprised at Gluten free breakfast, incredible and everything prepared by her. The clean and clean structure in the minimum details, immersed in the silence and green of the fields. Wonderful stay!

Upon arrival in Limatola we followed our satnav to the hotel, when the satnav eventually stopped there was no clear signage as to where to go next but with Google maps on air view we managed to work this out and continued up the hill through a small arch way - we had an Audi A4 but anything bigger wouldn’t have made it to the car park. Upon getting out the car we headed to what we thought must be the hotel but we ended up wandering around for ages as there is no clear signage to the reception area. Eventually we found reception and managed to check in, the chap didn’t really speak any English at all and we had a fair hike with no lift to our room. The room was really dark with hardly any windows, the bathroom was tiny and again had barely any light at all, the room felt cold and even more basic than the pictures had shown prior to booking. There was certainly no fancy lighting in the bathroom and we had booked a Junior Suite - which this room certainly was not. Our room was located around what was probably the old dining hall and the hotel had covered the open air section in a plastic tarpaulin, it was very windy and this was making a really loud slapping noise which could be constantly heard in the room. The restaurant appeared closed and the minibar only had water or Prosecco so we decided to walk into town - there was no staff anywhere to be seen in the hotel and as other people have commented there appeared to probably be a wedding on that weekend. Limatola was like a ghost town, what there was was closed & there was nobody anywhere, we visited on a Saturday so we’re a little surprised by this. When we eventually got back to the hotel we decided to checkout straightaway and stay elsewhere, upon checking out the staff couldn’t have cared less and didn’t ask why we were leaving when we had only arrived a short while ago. It was such a shame as the castle from the outside is stunning but unfortunately the rooms feel unloved and uninspired, the hotel has potential to be beautiful but it appears they care more for the money from weddings than the accommodation they provide. We ended up staying in the close by town of Caiazzo, as this is where we had dinner booked & it was incredible, a gorgeous typically Italian town with a beautiful Airbnb, shops, cafes and a bank.

The first time I was impressed by the architecture, the great service and the overall acceptable prices for the Michelin star restaurant, bar and spa. We stayed in a standard room that was cute but small. This second visit I decided to go for a suite for two nights. Let's start with the positives: - The room was lovely. Great decor, spacious, over two floors with a great patio upstairs and a nice balcony downstairs. Two bathrooms. Perfect with even two kids if needed. There were some signs of wear and tear easily fixable (see photos) but overall no complaint about the room. - The food we had was great. There is no question that they use the best possible ingredients. - Some of the staff was trained, experienced and professional. Especially those also working at La Locanda del Borgo. Now the negatives: - We called and emailed to change the date of arrival. The staff we interacted with over the phone and email was unprofessional and clueless. How can a hotel that charges 300€ per night per room have someone responding on the phone who is rude, speaks no English and lacks the basic skills to work in hospitality. Not a great start! - As soon as we arrived the Aircon in the room wasn't working. I had to call twice and both times the person answering the phone was rude and unprofessional (must be the same person above). No apology, no explanation. Nothing! Ridicolous. It was eventually fixed but when it is 30° outside and the Aircon doesn't work you apologise, you don't act annoyed with your customer. - At times there was an unpleasant smell of sewage in the room. Of course I understand the resort is remote and they have their own sistems. Still, if you charge 5 star prices, you offer 5 stars standards. - Now to the breakfast service. Unfortunately, service was hit and miss. When served by personell from the Michelin star restaurant, it was spot on. Professional and competent. The other staff used to fill in had no clue. Inexperienced and unprofessional. I fell for them as they were polite, yet, the standard was low. Buffet food was great, though charging extra for pochet eggs felt like a robbery given the price of the room. - We had lunch there on our first day and I realised that prices have almost doubled since last time I visited. 35€ for pasta in the middle of nowhere? Come on! 12€ for a glass of local wine when restaurants outside sell the same at 3€? 6€ for a bottle of water? If everything was flawless I would understand the Four Season prices given the location and the subpar service , given most ingredients are local as are the wines, why overcharge your customer? - We had a lovely dinner with outstanding service on the second night but still, being charged 45€ for their own local Aglinico felt like a robbery. I am local, I know local prices. Double prices are understable in a hotel. When you go x4 though, it is just gridiness. - Though a Spritz was 15€, service by the pool was nonexistent. Is it reall
