Mercure Bergamo Aeroporto

Mercure Bergamo Aeroporto

Dalmine|2.09km from city centre
There's not enough good words that can be said about the skills and training of the front desk staff, the breakfast servers, the evening dining room staff, and the housekeeping ladies. I am what is now being referred to as a ”Digital Nomad,” single, solo and senior traveler... and this hotel really fits my needs. Sure it could be €10 cheaper, but the room has an excellent long work countertop, WiFi Internet, large bed for sleep and for organizing travel bags, bathroom with both a tub and a walk-in shower correctly designed for use, and the food service is quite amazing. While you do need to take the taxi to most places, unless you drive, there is a major shopping mall just across the highway, and an unadvertised underground tunnel to get to the other side of the road and to that shopping center! I am not a fancy restaurant person, but the restaurant accommodates me with a very simple selection of food by my request. Both at breakfast and at dinner, the dining room is usually packed with happy diners and eaters. While I sit there with my simple food selection at dinner, I do admire the variety of Italian dishes that are ordered by other diners. Maybe I can't eat the spicy food but it sure looks good! And the other guests are very happy! I have used the Hotel's driver to taxi me to and from a variety of locations: BGY airport, Bergamo train Station, as well as the Covid vaccination center! He can be booked by SMS text and WhatsApp. Extremely easy to communicate with- both digitally and in multiple languages. The hotel is off the beaten track, therefore the taxi rides are going to be 10 additional euro from what might be expected in more urban areas. This is one of my more favorite hotels of any brand. While I rate the location as poor because you need to drive to get almost anywhere, the remoteness of the location is in itself a plus if you are residing here for more than just an overnight, because the landscaping is simple yet comforting, and major parking is underground.

Casa Mario Lupo - Apartments and Rooms

Città Alta Bergamo|1.21km from city centre
We recently returned from spending a very enjoyable week at Casa Mario Lupa. The building is a typical medieval house in the small medieval city of Bergamo run by Gianmauro and his wife. The rooms are very large and the bed and pillows are extremely comfortable even for my very fussy husband! We had a lounge with a TV, kitchen area, shower room and separate bedroom which suited us very much as it meant that I could sleep while my husband stayed up later. There are very loud bells from the cathedral nearby which start at 7.30am with the last ones at 10pm. They didn't bother us at all as we felt they added to the atmosphere and acted as our alarm clock in the mornings! Breakfast consisted of tea or coffee, fruit juice, fruit and delicious bread rolls. The house is in a small quiet street near the restaurants, coffee shops, and venicular which takes you down to lower Bergamo. There is also a regular number 1 bus that will take you to the airport and the train station where you can get cheap train travel to Milan - one hour, Venice -3 hours, Verona and Lake Garda etc. Gianmauro is a wonderful host, very friendly is very helpful and has a great deal of knowledge of the area. He will also meet and return you to the airport if you don't want to take the bus. All in all a perfect holiday! Thank you Gian PS just one small suggestion, a couple of long life capsules of milk and some teabags or coffee upon arrival would be most welcome. Luckily we found the minimarket just as it was closing up for the day!

Hotel San Pancrazio

Trescore Balneario|3.11km from San Lorenzo
The worst hotels I have ever found in my life, not so much for the look, but for staff and management. We book for Easter 3 rooms of which 2 triple plus 3 culles and 1 single with dinner included, we arrive in the morning where a boy at the reception confirms that dinner was there despite all the scripts that Sunday was closed. At 19:00 we go down for dinner and nobody considers us, we wait almost 40 minutes and decide to address the girl in the reception who tells us that the restaurant is closed and that he couldn't give us anything because he had a broken machine, It's 20 minutes, the time we're looking for a Pascua restaurant for 11 people, the girl comes back and tells us that we could have dinned with appetites!?????!? With three children under two years I don't think I agree. We sleep in 4 beds in a double bed because the cock was not given us, a hell night, a ****** absurd. We went to breakfast in the morning where a family unknown to us complained because at 1 p.m. they were forced to change not one but two rooms. We are very unhappy and we ask for a refund, a refund refused by the holder with so many lies reported in a written mail. We were even accused of having enjoyed a bottle of unpaid water, I wonder where I could have taken it, because the refrigerator bar was not present in the rooms, and we were told that we were injured during breakfast, But we were not. The worst experience of my life

Cocca Hotel Royal Thai Spa

A wonderful place to stay in a most beautiful part of Italy. Our room had brilliant views over the lake. Perfectly comfortable and clean room. Outstanding staff always ready to do that little bit extra for guests, excellent food and generous breakfast buffet. You do need a car (or at least a bike) though to get into town.
Hotel Excelsior San Marco
4.3/5104 Reviews
Excellent hotel near funicular to Cite Alta (old town) of Bergamo overlooking a park area. Had a room with a balcony (but only one seat) Friendly helpful staff in all areas. Comfortable bed and good shower ( over the bath) excellent self serve breakfast. Bus stop to /from airport across the street. Train station 20 /30 min walk away. Frequent trains to Milan and Lecco (on shore of Lake Como ) for day trips. Arrived on Bank holiday and very busy …huge queues for funicular but bus just as handy for Cite Alta ….can get a 72 hour bus ticket for €12. The hotel has a beautiful rooftop restaurant but unfortunately it is open only to diners( not for a drink) and is rather expensive ! and the hotel doesn’t offer any other dining option.

The hotel belongs to a residential hotel, European style, very quiet, not a tourist attraction, the boss is warm, close to the lake, the sunset is very beautiful.
Best Western Hotel Solaf

We stayed in this hotel for 3 days to go to Leoland. Super comfortable, warm and comfortable environment. The rooms are very spacious and clean. At the time of the booking we asked for a triple while being in 4, because the baby can sleep in the campsite bed and the lady at the reception had warned us that we might be tight, Instead, with all the open bed, we were very well moving. Very friendly and available staff and abundant and quality breakfast. Thank you very much for the hospitality and next!

I was here for a night stop over on my way to east Italy and I will definitely come back. I've checked in late (9pm) and the receptonist (Davide) welcomed me. This guy is always smiling and is very open for nice talks. He gave me also very good advices for places to visit and where to go for shopping. If I had any question about the hotel or anything else he was totally open to help with 100%. I am very satisfied! Also the staff in the morning at the breakfast was very very kind and helpful. Thanks very much for my perfect stay and see you very soon. Especially thanks to Davide, I'm very looking forward to have some more time with you to talk. Thanks a lot!
