Bar server if you can call him that. Paolo. Total chip on his shoulder ruined our Christmas Day after a lovely dinner at Snetonstube. We thought we would have a lovely after dinner drink for Christmas. So many many lovely spots in Ortisei like Gardena Grodnerhof and Sotriffer and wine bar and costa mula! Don’t go there and spend your money Paolo obviously hates America and Americans. Sad. Paolo is rude and sad And god forbid you show up in the bar from Another hotel he will make it known you are NOT welcome. He chastised us for sitting down and for serving us free Prosecco even though we said we would pay for it. It was a managers reception and we did not know that walking in. Unwelcoming and don’t go into this hotel if you are not a hotel guests. The bar was empty and he literally told us “YOU ARE NOT HOTEL guests here. My New York City travel agent will love this feedback. Paolo is doing this hotel a complete disgrace disservice.

If you follow my reviews, you know I’m almost always positive. I look for the good. Well, the hotel was clean. On a recent family trip, I took two rooms at this hotel. I needed to do some work while I was there but did not anticipate a problem. None of the other hotels on our trip posed a problem.The picture showed a nice little banquette in the room and I knew I could work off that table. Well, the picture must have been of some other hotel. The room we were given had none. In addition, I do sensitive work. To sign up for their wifi, I had to disconnect some of my protection (VPN). The hotel room was much smaller than the picture showed, no banquette (or room for it) and the lighting produced a dingy effect. We left within a few minutes and although our booking said we would owe 30% of the cost for one day, we were told we must pay 100% of the cost for one night. That wasn’t the deal. The rude desk clerk called the owner and repeated how the Americans were having a problem. We went to a similarly rated and priced hotel 10 minutes away, but it might as well have been another planet. Just lovely. Don’t believe the pictures, they're deceptive.

B&B Trento was an excellent stay! The staff were SO friendly and helpful, and they accommodated our late check in with automatic check in (which was quick and easy, exactly what we needed after 32 hours of travel!). The room is simple and has everything you need (shampoo/body wash, towels, a safe) and they have additional toiletry items for sale downstairs if you forget any! My only “4 star” is the location - it is a beautiful setting right next to a mountain and extremely convenient if you have a car! If you don’t have a car, the bus line to and from the city center stops at 7pm so you will have to take a taxi (or the bus during the day). We highly recommend staying here. It was our first stop in Italy and our first trip to Europe, and the staff was just incredibly kind to us and helpful when we had questions.

Tre stelle perché solo 3 sono stati i punti a suo favore. Abbiamo soggiornato qui 3 notti. Avevamo la suite nella torre, camera sempre pulitissima e asciugamani cambiati ad ogno richiesta. Colazione e merenda varia ed abbondante. E il terzo punto va a Claudia la massaggiatrice del centro benessere bravissima e professionale. Dette le cose positive mi trovo a dover dire anche le negative. Ho prenotato una pensione 3/4 comprensiva di colazione, merenda e cena ma nonostante ci fossimo sentiti piu volte con la reception nessuno mi ha informata (ne era scritto sulla mia proposta accettata) che le bibite erano escluse. ovviamente non intendo vino o altro, ma almeno l'acqua visto che una bottiglia del depuratore da 0.70 la fanno pagare 4.80€. Pochi giorni prima del mio arrivo mi hanno mandato via mail un sondaggio relativo principalmente alle mie preferenze riguardo il centro benessere con i loro pacchetti da prenotare in anticipo ma.... Al nostro arrivo abbiamo scoperto che per la prima sera la cena non si poteva scegliere perche non c'era la possibilita di farci scegliere in anticipo... Allora dico, i pacchetti a pagamento potete mandarmi la mail prima e per la scelta della prima cena no?io questa cosa l'ho scoperta perche al nostro arrivo in sala sulla tavola c'era un menu con alcune proposte e quando abbiamo chiesto come funzionasse per la scelta, mi è stato risposto che quel menu non era il nostro e che la prima sera non c'era scelta. Riguardo la cena c'è da dire che le uniche cose buone che abbiamo mangiato oltre alle insalate del buffet (che pur ripetendosi sempre le stesse almeno erano mangiabili) erano i succhi multivitaminici o smooties che propongono come seconda scelta nelle zuppe. Ora indipendentemente dai gusti di ognuno credo che essendo in Italia almeno i piatti della tradizione andrebbero onorati invece, abbiamo tristemente appreso in questi giorni che tutto cio che riguarda l'Italia viene tristemente snobbato, a partire dal fatto che le ragazze del personale ci abbiano chiesto in varie circostanze se potevamo parlare in tedesco con loro. Amatriciana senza pancetta e spaghetti spezzati, oltre al fatto che nella nostra suite il bidet non c'era ma in descrizione si. Quando ho chiesto alla reception perché non fosse scritto nella proposta che le bevande non erano incluse, mi è stato risposto ”qui tutti fanno cosi” allora vorrei precisare che se io vengo qui in vacanza è perche non sono del posto, inoltre le leggi sono uguali in tutta italia, ma purtroppo ci siamo sentiti come se non fossimo in italia e anche un po discriminati visti gli atteggiamenti che il personale aveva nei confronti dei clienti tedeschi rispetto a noi e ad altri Italiani. Io credo che un albergo 4 stelle dovrebbe offrire un menu diverso per la cena perche le proposte non sono proprio all'altezza. Lo strudel non è fatto di pasta frolla ma in questo albergo si. Concludo dicendo che pagare piu di 240 euro a notte, oltre le bibite a parte con prezzi assurdi senza alcuna

But I had a problem in my room because every night above my room children’s were jumping and running so it was noise on my roof ( someone told me that there is the owners house ) . The hotel don’t have Transfer for the lifts . You have only one lift that is 8 min , the others are far away and way up . I had to pay a transfer to the lifts and it was 23 euro each way .

The Florian is a chalet on a grand scale backing onto a large garden with (unheated) swimming pool and many restful nooks. The rooms are comfortable and modern, those at the front having magnificent views of the Alpe di Siusi, and those at the back looking out on the garden. There is a road in front of the hotel but the traffic is not frequent enough to be disturbing. Breakfasts are ample and dinner a splendid parade of the best in Austro-Italian cuisine, with a good list of wines from nearby and other Italian regions. The waiting staff are efficient and pleasant, with excellent memories enabling them to anticipate your wishes after a day or two. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the centre and much quieter than most hotels in the town. A shuttle bus (number 5) stops right outside the door and goes straight to the cable car station in less than 10 minutes. This is a family hotel so expect a number of children among the guests. A thoroughly enjoyable place to stay, preferably for an unhurried long week-end or week in the Dolomites.

The really special thing, for train enthusiasts or luxury travel enthusiasts, is the possibility of sleeping in a suite set up on an original Orient Express carriage. From the moment you enter the Adler Lodge resort, you feel like in a different world. Everything is so clean, the staff very attentive, the service great, the suites / chalets and the furniture / standard is best in class so you can’t feel anything but in paradise. We booked 3 nights in a suite and 3 nights in a chalet. The suites are already high class wit their own saunas, rain showers etc but the chalets are worth the upgrade with even more privacy and room to relax, exactly what we were looking for. The 5 course dinners were a highlight each night, you don’t feel stuffed and can choose / mix between 3 different menus. Ingredients are from the local famers, very tasty and fresh. So is the wine which by default you get a perfect match with each course. We also enjoyed the afternoon buffet and the drinks of course. If you want to leave the bubble - which we did, there are a lot of hiking possibilities or you can visit Bozano - everything included with the guest card. The lodge also offers e-mountain bikes which was fun to test. All in all, world class and a very high benchmark which will be difficult to match. Thanks to the entire Adler Lodge team and as they put it - let you soul fly!

Tre stelle perché solo 3 sono stati i punti a suo favore. Abbiamo soggiornato qui 3 notti. Avevamo la suite nella torre, camera sempre pulitissima e asciugamani cambiati ad ogno richiesta. Colazione e merenda varia ed abbondante. E il terzo punto va a Claudia la massaggiatrice del centro benessere bravissima e professionale. Dette le cose positive mi trovo a dover dire anche le negative. Ho prenotato una pensione 3/4 comprensiva di colazione, merenda e cena ma nonostante ci fossimo sentiti piu volte con la reception nessuno mi ha informata (ne era scritto sulla mia proposta accettata) che le bibite erano escluse. ovviamente non intendo vino o altro, ma almeno l'acqua visto che una bottiglia del depuratore da 0.70 la fanno pagare 4.80€. Pochi giorni prima del mio arrivo mi hanno mandato via mail un sondaggio relativo principalmente alle mie preferenze riguardo il centro benessere con i loro pacchetti da prenotare in anticipo ma.... Al nostro arrivo abbiamo scoperto che per la prima sera la cena non si poteva scegliere perche non c'era la possibilita di farci scegliere in anticipo... Allora dico, i pacchetti a pagamento potete mandarmi la mail prima e per la scelta della prima cena no?io questa cosa l'ho scoperta perche al nostro arrivo in sala sulla tavola c'era un menu con alcune proposte e quando abbiamo chiesto come funzionasse per la scelta, mi è stato risposto che quel menu non era il nostro e che la prima sera non c'era scelta. Riguardo la cena c'è da dire che le uniche cose buone che abbiamo mangiato oltre alle insalate del buffet (che pur ripetendosi sempre le stesse almeno erano mangiabili) erano i succhi multivitaminici o smooties che propongono come seconda scelta nelle zuppe. Ora indipendentemente dai gusti di ognuno credo che essendo in Italia almeno i piatti della tradizione andrebbero onorati invece, abbiamo tristemente appreso in questi giorni che tutto cio che riguarda l'Italia viene tristemente snobbato, a partire dal fatto che le ragazze del personale ci abbiano chiesto in varie circostanze se potevamo parlare in tedesco con loro. Amatriciana senza pancetta e spaghetti spezzati, oltre al fatto che nella nostra suite il bidet non c'era ma in descrizione si. Quando ho chiesto alla reception perché non fosse scritto nella proposta che le bevande non erano incluse, mi è stato risposto ”qui tutti fanno cosi” allora vorrei precisare che se io vengo qui in vacanza è perche non sono del posto, inoltre le leggi sono uguali in tutta italia, ma purtroppo ci siamo sentiti come se non fossimo in italia e anche un po discriminati visti gli atteggiamenti che il personale aveva nei confronti dei clienti tedeschi rispetto a noi e ad altri Italiani. Io credo che un albergo 4 stelle dovrebbe offrire un menu diverso per la cena perche le proposte non sono proprio all'altezza. Lo strudel non è fatto di pasta frolla ma in questo albergo si. Concludo dicendo che pagare piu di 240 euro a notte, oltre le bibite a parte con prezzi assurdi senza alcuna
