Hotel Caesar Palace

This was the last hotel as part of a Titan tour. This hotel was not a great place for touring over 50’s, so much noisy music and children rushing around. Large pool though unfortunately mostly out of your depth, which isn’t great when children are floating around on lilo’s bumping into you. Plenty of choice with the hotel buffet , though got a bit boring after a few days. Had to move rooms as my bed was very uncomfortable, this was done willingly and ended up with a much bigger room. Shower tray however leaked and flooded the bathroom every time I took a shower. If you are a family no doubt this hotel would be more acceptable

We had a fantastic week in Sicily and really enjoyed our stay at Caesar Palace. We couldn’t fault the cleanliness of our room and communal areas (and I’m quite fussy). Our balcony overlooked the pool which was kept really clean and was where my children spent most of their time! The animation team were friendly and engaging, yes the music around the pool was occasionally a bit loud but there were also quiet times during the day. Activities included water aerobics, water polo, darts, dancing lessons. There was a kids club but my children weren’t keen on attending as just wanted to be in the pool, the animation team did try to persuade them and we found they tried really hard to engage people and be inclusive of all nationalities. Brits were definitely in the minority (a huge bonus in our opinion) but they always gave announcements in English and encouraged us to join in with things. Leandro is a legend, speaks 3 languages, is a fantastic dancer and clearly just wants everyone to have a great time. We loved him. Isabella also a lovely person, great with the children. Evening entertainment was generally live music, but there was also karaoke one night and a Sicilian night. As the Euro football championship was on they also had the evening games on a screen so that kept my football mad son and husband happy. The hotel is all inclusive and the choice of food was excellent, there was only about an hour a day where you couldn’t eat!! Drinks also available all day, alcoholic ones from 10am-midnight, the beer is Moretti, a range of spirits and Aperol on tap. Also ice cream and granita/slush available all day. Everything is self service which, with 2 growing boys, suited us down to the ground. My one criticism would be the disposable plastic cups as I felt this was not very environmentally responsible, would be better if they issued everyone with a washable, reusable cup on a deposit system as they do with the pool towels. I’m surprised at some of the negative comments, particularly people being surprised about the large number of Italian people being in a hotel in Sicily, classic British!! We would definitely return, thanks for a wonderful stay.

Fantastic hotel , been here 6 times now. Staff are amazing and friendly. Great location and free bus into town Great for families, good size rooms and balconies Plenty of choice for meals. Massive market just behind the hotel and a must is a trip to Taormina

The hotel was great , the rooms were spotless and cleaned daily and the food was buffet style , with plenty of choice. the staff are really friendly and helpful. The pool area was spacious and plenty of sun loungers , there was gradual steps for those that find pool ladders difficult, there is also a kids pool at the rear. The all inclusive was till midnight , (most end at 11pm) and no restriction on number of drinks you can take for your group . A few things to note , if you arrive on first evening after 9pm no hot food ( cold plate offered) , however a restaurant next door was still open at 9.30pm If you remove the water from the mini bar it is 2 euros a bottle , even if you replace with the same from the bar ?? , so leave the two bottles and just get from the bar if all inclusive and put in the fridge with the other two. The bathroom tiles are the smooth slippery type so need to put a towel down. I was able to keep the room on until 2pm on day of departure for an extra 30 euros, need to arrange day before The lifts seem to stay open on the ground floor and you can't seem to call them so have to wait for someone to travel up or if so disabled have to send someone down stairs to send up. The entertainment/ animation team are there morning , noon and evening trying to interact with you , it got a bit annoying to be honest if you to just want to chill by the pool or have a quiet drink in the bar as they kept cruising around , approaching you or dancing about , top tips feign sleep , look at your phone or stick your headphones on. Lastly if from UK and going expecting kids to be in school in June , most of guests Nordic so there was plenty of kids.
