Abano Grand Hotel

Abano Grand Hotel

Abano Terme|0.61km from city centre
I spent my birthday weekend at the Abano Grand Hotel for the first time and definitely not the last!! First off, the hotel is gorgeous all around. I felt immediately relaxed as I entered the property and welcomed by the highly professional and courteous staff. Secondly, the room, the pool and spa areas, the food and oh my goodness live music performed very well by the young lady and the gentleman (I failed to ask for their names) while I wait for the dining area to open. The piano virtuoso who entertained the guest during dinner and the attentive staff at the dining and breakfast areas! Finally, the best treat of the weekend for me was the spa area served by their amazingly sweet, kind and skilled masseuses (Anna Maria and Anna Maria). Thank you to both Anna Maria's for the excellent customer service and the most relaxing treatments you both have provided with such care! I feel rejuvenated! I must mention one particular lady I met in the hallway (I failed to ask for her name) who got my attention when she stopped me and asked if I would like to change my robe for a size smaller. She then knocked at my door and gave me 2 smaller robes!! I, thank you greatly and apologize that I did not get your name. Someone paid close attention to ensure not only comfort but safety of a guest! I could've tripped over the long robes I had and fallen on the floor or stairs! Again, thank you!!! I will return and will highly recommend!!!!

Hotel Grand'Italia

Hotel Grand'Italia

Padova|1.18km from city centre
I stayed for 4 nights, booked directly with the hotel for best price, in July 2023, in a single room (no 104). I arrived at about 10 am at the hotel and it was great that the room was ready and I could check in so early in the day, have a shower and then head off to explore Padova. First of all, my room was not a typical single room in an Italian hotel, that is tiny, but a regular one, which was a big plus. The bed was not a double, but not a narrow single bed either, somewhat one in the middle, which was great. The room was properly furnished, if basic. The bathroom was also large by Italian standards, but with a major flaw: the shower was positioned right in the middle of the bathroom, and cordoned off by a plastic shower curtain that was frankly below any standards, not to mention a 4* hotel. Towels were of good quality. I appreciated and used the minibar, safe, AC, TV with decent selection of channels. Both room and bathroom were kept very clean, and the room efficiently serviced every day. Breakfast was good and varied, espresso provided by request. I chose this hotel for my stay in Padua due to its position, right in front of the railway station. It was very useful as I used it as a base to do daily trips by train to Venice and Verona using the fast (RV=Reggio Veloce) and cheap Italian railway (Trenitalia). You can also include Vicenza. Given its proximity to the station there are a lot of less than desirable people hanging around the hotel, mostly immigrants from Africa, but I never felt inconvenienced or threatened in any way. Pay great attention though while in the station while acquiring your train tickets from the automatic ticket machines. The hotel is also very well placed to explore Padova since the tram station for the tram journey to the historic centre, St Anthony’s church (“Il Santo”), and Il Prato is right in front of the hotel. Tram tickets office also just across the street. I was also somehow worried about the noise from the street given that my room was overlooking the main road in front of the station, but the sound insulation was very good, did not have problems with traffic noise. All in all, this is good value for money hotel for exploring Padua, and Veneto at large, I warmly recommend it. If you fly in/ out from Treviso airport (TSF) there is also a direct bus from the bus station located not far from the railway station, at a cheap fare.
Crowne Plaza Padova

Crowne Plaza Padova

Province of Padua
My stay was to have been 7 nights- two of those I was not even on property, but still kept my room, while in Venice, in order to keep larger luggage and items I did not need here. The early evening front desk gentleman, is curt, impatient, and then as you walk away says things about you literally behind your back, but so you DO hear him. I was so deeply hurt. All I was asking for was a couple of bottles of water for my room. He was I and my husband are Diamond Status/ have close to a million points accrued with them, with this hotel group, and he treated me so unkindly, that I am literally leaving the property, 3 days early and going elsewhere. IT really set a tone. The restaurant service staff, works sooo hard, but the food is sub par, and a limited repetitive menu. I have been in 3 other properties on this ”Tour Of Italy”, and I simply do not recommend it. Their bar: whereas other properties are all back to functioning normally in a world that has seemingly recovered from Covid, this property has zero bar stools, so you have to stand at the bar, and are not encouraged to stay, and the setting is not at all conducive to enjoying a drink. Rather, they have seating in a BRIGHTLY lit area, seemingly cafeteria style.. which is not conducive to relaxing, and decompressing from your day. However, other Crown Plaza Properties in Italy, do have what would be deemed normal, traditional, bar and lounge settings. SO, what is the problem with this place? This was my birthday trip, and I deeply regret coming here to stay- for soo many reasons. OH, and they were doing construction right across from my room, to the point I could not sleep!!! I called downstairs more than once begging them to stop, that I was sick and needed to rest- they essentially told me ”Too bad”, ”The construction had to continue”, and offered absolutely zero in compensation for the noise and preventing me to sleep.

Best Western Plus Hotel Galileo Padova

Padova City Center Padova|1.59km from city centre

DC Hotel International

I spent one night at this hotel and I really liked it here. My room was spacious and clean, it was quiet here, no noise from the hallway. The breakfast was standard, there was a lot of fruit and pastries. Check in and check out was quick and staff friendly. Bonus: there was a huge supermarket right across the street.
Maritan Hotel & Spa

DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL, specially if you are a solo traveler. I made a 2-night reservation for work purposes. The convenient location and the good rating made me decide for this hotel, even if it was more expensive than similar alternatives (110€/night during the week for a 2*). When I arrived, I regreted my choice as soon as I walked in. The pictures online are much more flattering than reality. The hotel is completely dated, is too warm and smells funny everywhere, from the reception to the rooms. The staff is not helpful. The room....much smaller than advertised, tiny tiny, dated, with a strange smell. Cleanliness, despite not being terrible, is far from irreprehensible, specially in the ancient bed quilts that must be used for several guests in a row. The bathroom is also small, with a tiniest shower (that I didnt event want to get in). From the vents in the bathroom you hear ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING from the nearby rooms. Also in the room itself, walls are paper thin and you hear everything from the other rooms..you don't feel calm and relaxed at all. To top it up, I don't know quite how to put it into words, but the environment is very strange. I didn't feel safe at all. I could barely sleep with this feeling of insecurity, specially after having read comments on TripAdvisor about strangers being able to open the doors. I left after 1 night in the early morning, despite having paid for 2 nights. There was 0 availability from the staff to discuss the negative points or cancellation policy for the 2nd night, even though you pay WAY TOO MUCH for what is advertised and then ends up being a complete disappointment. WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER even though I only wanted some place to sleep for work purposes. This felt like on the movies, that terrible strange place where people go to sleep after somenone kicks them out off the house.
Hotel Pex Padova

We were booked a three-bedroom, we were given a family, two bed and a two-story bed. The room was clean but there was a stubborn smell of cigarettes. They asked to change the room because they were not smoking themselves and were with the child, but we were refused, citing that there were no free. Opened windows on the staircase and in the room to pull everything out. Breakfast did not take. In the shower everything is working and clean. Shampoo, limonium. Comfortable beds, refrigerator, TV.
Hotel Piroga Padova
4/510 Reviews
The rooms were ok in size, but for a 4* hotel very poor in amenities and decoration (even have a telephone on the bathroom) Have an old lady that i assume to be the owner/manager that ia terrible, we ask for hot water to prepare some cup noodles, the answers were a bit rude, then said that we cannot eat on the room, ( on the features on the list it say it have breakfast in room, so i assume the people eat at the bar dreaming that they are on the room), if we want to eat, or outside the hotel or on the bar tables, we did go eat on the bar tables, after we finish she immediately said the trash need to be throwed outside the hotel. On the morning the breakfast was very poor for a supposed 4* hotel, almost 1 thing of each, not much choices.

Hotel Terme Delle Nazioni
4.3/555 Reviews
Just came back from happy stay at Hotel Terme delle Nazioni. From the moment we arrived, I felt nice, calm and relaxing atmosphere which was promising for a good stay and I wasn’t wrong Very happy to stay in the lovely and comfortable white room, every personnel from the reception to dining/breakfast room were nice and kind…special thanks to Sig.ra T at the reception, who sorted a little issue with my reservation, took appropriate action with my email correspondence, and kindly let us check in early as we arrived quite earlier than their check-in time. Water in the swimming pool was perfect temperature and well maintained. It was good as there weren’t many people in and out of water at the time we were there. Dinner and breakfast was OK. It would be good if they offer freshly squeezed orange juice and more selections of cooked food for breakfast. Too bad Montegrotto terme is so far from home. I can’t wait for the soonest opportunity to return for the longer stay!
