My wife, two young kids (9 and 11), and I recently stayed at Musella for a night on our way through Verona. We booked a two-bedroom apartment months in advance and were excited to stay at what is a lovely bed and breakfast. We arrived late (around 11:30 pm) on the night of our reservation, in part, because we got lost trying to find the place. We received a confirming email earlier that day, however, so we weren’t concerned. The email didn’t say anything about needing to call ahead if we were coming in late, so we were surprised to find the front gate locked and no lights on when we arrived. I called the number listed on the call box, which apparently connected me to the front desk clerk/manager who was offsite at the time. I’m not actually sure who the woman was because she didn’t identify herself, but she was very rude. When I let her know who I was, she immediately started berating me for not calling ahead. She was upset that she couldn’t reach me all day (she had been calling my wife’s phone, which was off), and I was afraid she had given our room away. My family and I were sitting on the side of a desolate road in the middle of the night in a foreign country, so I tried to be polite and apologetic. And fortunately, our room was still available. Everything seemed fine after the mystery woman opened the gate remotely and guided us to our room over the phone. The next morning, however, I had another unpleasant encounter with her while “checking in.” Rather than asking me how my stay was, she continued grumbling about our late arrival the previous night. Later that morning when I was checking out, the issue came up again when she (for the first time) mentioned a 20-euro “late arrival” fee that I was being charged. I explained that I was unaware I needed to call ahead—and that the confirming email didn’t say it was required—but she just kept arguing that “everyone knows you have to call” and that it’s mentioned in the “terms and conditions.” Her tone and demeanor was unprofessional and infuriating. Worse, I apparently got charged this ridiculous fee because Musella’s reception desk “closes” at 7 pm. As I said, the place itself is lovely and the owner (we ran into him as we were walking to our room the night we arrived) seemed nice. I rarely give bad reviews, but the mystery woman earned one by making me feel like my entire stay was an imposition to her. She got the 20 euro fee from me, but blew any chance that I or anyone I know will ever stay there or order their wine in the future. Seems pretty shortsighted, although I can’t say I’m surprised given her behavior during all three of our interactions.

I had booked x1 only night x because I imagined it was a hotel “beat and run” looking for better x the next night and instead we recreated both my husband and me. Once we took the room we decided to book the next night and with half-pension x because this hotel is really a good compromise x visit Verona . The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable and comfortable. A dinner with simple but very tasty dishes that we very pleased to see the tiredness of the visit to Verona and the service of the very professional and courtesy guardian. The reception staff are gentle and very prepared x give information about the visit of Verona center and its museums .. and lastly, the convenience of being able to go to the center only 15 /20 minutes by taking the always timely and frequent means right in front of the hotel and the possibility of buying tickets directly in the hotel is not least important. The lack of soundlessness of the room , I was awakened in the night from the kid's weep of the room nearby to our .

The hotel was a good 20 minutes on a bus from the outskirts of Verona. The parking is not free you have to pay €10 a day to park in their underground car park. The room was dirty near the bed an inch thick along one wall. The bathroom had black mould round the edges and up the tiles., also the shower head was black. There was an inch wide full length of the bath piece of tape stuck to the bottom of the bath with mould growing on the whole length. Four beds in our room left very little room to walk. The bed that we slept in was supposed to be a double but there was a huge ridge in the middle as the two beds which were pushed together were different heights. There was another single bed at the side and one at the bottom. When I asked to change rooms they said they were full up, and the staff were not helpful. The carpet in the corridor was absolutely filthy, it had been beautiful in its day but that must have been 50 years ago. The curtains were hanging down off their hooks and were not connected to the rods to pull or push.

After being recommended to stay at this “hotel” for a course we were doing, it was a nightmare from day one. We were in a 4 bed apartment and hot water wouldn’t work for more than 15 minutes so that meant some of us were having cold showers everyday. Especially when they’d fix it at night but it was freezing again by the morning and we didn’t have time to get them to sort it as this took around an hour of our time. Despite telling them EVERYDAY that our hot water wasn’t working and the boiling was broke, it took them 6 days into our 10 night stay to do something. Everytime we would plead them to fix it or move us apartments, they lied and told us that the hotel was fully booked and would just tell us to turn the boiler on and off. The hob in our apartment barely worked, everything was dirty and smelt like a nursing home, no washing machine, mouldy dirty showers and limescale on the shower head so thick that it wouldn’t even work properly. The microwave sparked at the plug and needed to be changed, the bedsheets smelt dirty and the shutters kept jamming. On day 6 they moved us to a smaller apartment, despite paying for more and didn’t apologise or offer any compensation. When we arrived, the showers still weren’t in the best condition and the kitchen was barely supplied with any utensils to cook and then the balcony door jammed shut. When we called reception, he said they couldn’t do anything for a couple of hours despite us having washing our there and wanting to use the balcony to enjoy the sun. He then barged in 10 minutes later, not saying anything and pulling at the doors then proceeded to climb through the window to get to the balcony. We’ve constantly had to change our plans to wait whilst the staff at the hotel messed with the broken things and not know how to fix it. There was no proper engineering staff and we didn’t see any cleaners working whilst we were here. The one time our apartment was cleaned, they didn’t leave any toilet roll and left one of the rooms completely uncleaned. The staff haven’t apologised once for any of these issues, if anything they make you feel like an annoyance when they should just get their hotel sorted. It’s dirty, it’s old and it’s been a nightmare. It also looks NOTHING like the photos. It’s overpriced and promising an experience that doesn’t exist. Save your money, the hostel would probably be nicer.

GGuest UserMy wife & I stayed here for 3 nights in February & we couldn’t have picked a better location for seeing the beautiful city of Verona. Around a 15 minute walk from the train station, the hotel is right next to the main square & arena, and a short walk to Piazza Erbe & Juliet’s Balcony. Our apar**ent was spacious & clean, had cooking facilities such as microwave, kettle & hobs. The bed was super comfortable. The slight negative came with the bins being collected from outside the hotel each morning, but on the whole our experience was very positive. We would happily choose this hotel again when returning to Verona.

GGuest UserReally enjoyed our stay at Hotel Indigo. Great location in Verona, short walk from train station and in the other direction an easy walk to the gate and into the historic area, many options for eating and shopping. The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful, offering suggestions and directions. The room was clean and comfortable perhaps a bit tight and as others have mentioned the shower was really small. Water pressure was an issue on a couple of mornings. The breakfast buffet was very good with many choices - we almost didn't need a lunch! The lobby bar offered wines by the glass and we enjoyed trying local wines and, of course, campari or aperol spritz after a day of sightseeing! I want to recognize James, whether serving in the breakfast room or the bar, his charming personality and assistance made our visit extra special!! We celebrated a couple of birthdays during our stay and James created tasty and beautifully presented appetizers to accompany our Prosecco!!

PPeggy PotHotel is great, comfortable beds, nice bathroom, clean. You get bottle of Water, Tea bags and coffee every day. I love it because it is very well sound proof room and you can hardly hear anything from outside. Also great Pool area. You need a cap for the hair. If you don't have it, you can buy it for 7eur at the Pool reception. They can only improve some service at the reception desk. The lady was really confused. When we arrived, she hardly found us in the system and when we left, she wanted to charge us some food and drinks from the restaurant, that we did not have and did not order. We ased for the manager to come, but then she called somewhere and it was then ok. Beside that, the hotel was great, also shuttle Bus is a big plus. It drives you to the Gardaland and there you can switch a bus also to the city of Pescaria. Really great if you stay in the hotel for more than 1 day. The themed rooms are a wonderful experiance.

GGuest UserWe stayed her for five nights. The location is perfect a few minutes walk from the bus/train station and not much further into the centre of Verona. The room we had was very dated, required some maintenance, but was clean. It did feel a bit like a dungeon although it was on the fifth floor with french doors and a balcony. The trouble was that the curtains would not open/close and the top of the curtains were not even attached to the rail on one side so flapped open. No worries, we thought, we will let them know so they can sort it out. Although the receptionist fully understood what we were saying the curtains were never sorted for the whole of our stay. We had to find a way to keep them closed at night. Another thing to keep in mind is that you cannot keep the doors open as it is so noisy, which is purely down to the location and can not be helped. It was too hot and a bit oppressive once the metal shutters were down at night. I felt the staff worked extremely hard at breakfast and noticed they replenished everything very quickly. The room was kept spotlessly clean and our bed was always made up when we returned to the hotel after exploring Verona. If I could give 3.5 stars I would, but I do not feel the hotel warrants 4 stars. I don't think I would return as would prefer something a bit more modern. Does this exist in Verona, I'm not sure that it does. Not quite sure how it is a four star hotel, more like what I would expect a three star to be like.

GGuest UserSpent 6 weeks in Italy, and still talk about how much we enjoyed our stay at this property, and in Verona. The rooms are basic, heated towel bars, comfy beds, nice breakfast, they make a lovely cappuccino. Good use of space in the hotel, nice library, can make tea. True, they don’t have an elevator, but they will help with bags. But the best part is the staff. They were incredibly helpful, really went out of their way to explain things, provide good maps, recommend restaurants. All questions were welcomed and answered effortlessly. We would definitely go back, and highly recommend the hotel. Lastly, the praise could go on and on, but wanted to say we appreciated all the environmentally friendly measures and signs. Thanks for making our time in Verona extra special.

GGuest UserThe fabric of the hotel is very good. Clean and fresh and so it should be as I believe it has recently been refurbished. If you want a hotel where there is daytime/night time entertainment this is not for you. It is generally a quiet relaxing hotel. Children are allowed but they will have to provide their own entertainment. There are three pools, one in the spa, one adults only and one that children can use. The pool bar was not in operation while we were there. The hotel is a 50 min walk from the town of Lazise on reasonable paths that are shared with cyclists. But you take your life in your own hands as the cyclists and scooter riders just fly past with no warning. A taxi into town costs 15-20 euro. There is no shuttle bus at the hotel even though it indicates there is on the trip advisor hotel listing. And to the reviewer who says it is a 5 min walk to the lake..you are wrong. I would say it is at least 15 mins and that includes a shortcut through a vineyard and a campsite. The rooms are a decent size. Storage for clothes could be improved with more drawer/shelf space. There is a fridge (no mini bar) which on arrival has two bottles of water in. It seems pot luck as to whether the water is replenished. A good size TV but maybe only 3 English channels (news). The bedside lamps are quite dim...not enough light to read by. All rooms have a balcony or terrace for ground floor. There was no milk to make hot drinks. We purchased some from the local supermarket. Breakfast is more or less typical for a holiday hotel. Fresh fruit..well melon and pineapple, yogurts. Continental style with meats and cheeses plus a pastry section. Don't expect a full English here.... there is bacon, fried egg and sausage but that is all. The food was a decent quality. There is a gripe I do have in that when the bread ran out we were tod it was finished and no more would be coming out.....this wasn't at the end of the breakfast sitting but with still 45 mins to go. NOT ACCEPTABLE. One thing that we observed was a family who loaded up breakfast food of all description including fresh fruit, as well as taking water bottles from the display and then blatantly took it back to their rooms. They took plates piled high and filled bags. It wasn't as if they were having breakfast in their rooms as they were eating breakfast in the dining room. They were clearly taking food to eat later in the day! The staff knew but did nothing. Maybe that is why they ran out of bread. We only dined in the evening twice. The menu is not extensive .....in fact there were only two choices of main meal. Other course were labelled starter, first course, second course, so maybe you are supposed to have one of each course because the size of the main dish is not huge. If you have a decent appetite you will need more than one course. The main problem with this hotel is the lack of staff. There was not enough waiting staff at all so tables were delayed in getting cleared and more importantly food

GGuest UserIn order to better express my feelings, I translated it from Chinese to English and then into Italian. I hope you can understand it. This hotel is very comfortable, even if I am traveling alone. The owner of the hotel is a very enthusiastic person! ! Why? First of all, I admire him very much. He is on duty at night and works hard! Secondly, this hotel has a lounge, and you can enjoy the music and beautiful scenery at night! ! Because my friend said to take me out to other places, I came back to the hotel very late that night. I was greeted by the enthusiasm and patience of the hotel owner! ! Because I was very happy that night and a little tipsy. I told the boss that I wanted to jump into the swimming pool naked, and the boss did not refuse, and also prepared a bath towel for me and asked me to pay attention to my body! He is really a very warm-hearted person!! Breakfast is also very sufficient! ! Before I checked out, the boss even gave me a bath towel with their hotel logo for me to keep as a souvenir. Thank you very much! ! I will stay in this hotel again next time! ! !(In addition, the flowers in the picture were not picked by me, I picked them up on the floor of the hotel.) !

GGuest UserWe stayed in this hotel because we attended Nick Cave's concert at the Arena of Verona and so we found him comfortable for the location, which is one of his few positive aspects. I start by saying that when we arrived and played the clock, the owner came very dry from our presence. We saw the room, quite comfortable, but the bath was a disaster: the water was sometimes making strange noises, the shower door was broken, and the wall seemed made of carton. Finally, we were waiting for breakfast (including in the booking) in the morning but we found that it would never arrive. I have to say that for 50 euros per head it is better. I don't recommend.
