Booked this place for a chettinad heritage feel and was not disappointed. The rooms and washrooms were also clean. The food whatever served was very tasty and the service was good. On the whole, had a good experience in the facility.

Chidambara Vilas is a 125-year-old Chettinad house turned hotel. It's a huge mansion covering one acre, with a fascinating two-hour evening tour. The hotel is filled with antiques, from doors to clocks and ceilings. The staff is friendly and helpful. It has delicious South Indian food, including dinner buffets and traditional Chettinad lunch on banana leaves. The hotel offers: - Cooking demos - High tea - Heritage walks - morning Village tours Nearby villages offer sari weaving and flower tile making. Note: Watch out for mischievous monkeys! They know how to open the room door handles. Chidambara Vilas is a great place to stay and experience Chettinad's rich culture.

Just a wonderful amazing stay at chettinad heritage. Booked it for a family vacation. The staff were super supportive and friendly. Chef, she's a magician. Lovely lovely gentle on the stomach kind of food. The house itself is a beautiful house. Loaded with nostalgia of the past.

Good property with a vintage heritage home feel.Good loaction.The hospitality of the staff is excellent. They offered delicacies from Chettinad for breakfast. Room amenities can be improved, there was no kettle.

This property is located on the outskirts of karaikudi and not a heritage place with history unlike other heritage hotels. Food and stay was comfortable and the staff were prompt and courteous

We had a wholesome stay and appreciate the best staff/team who really went above and beyond to take care of us. One of the best home style food, food for soul. Lovely location, outside the hustle bustle. Mansions in the area are absolutely stunning. Thank you for all!
