Me and my partner stayed at this hotel for our first holiday together. We went for all inclusive to make the trip less of a hassle and I wasn’t sure what to expect after reading reviews before coming. As others have said, the breakfast is pretty standard and I especially loved the pancakes/croissants which could be topped by a Nutella nozzle. Sometimes the food was cold/lukewarm for lunch/dinner but if you went when the buffet opened this was usually slightly better. The food however was never inedible, and we often had 2 plates plus dessert or fruit (see pics below). I really appreciated the variety of sections, and the menu is themed around different world cuisines at dinner time which makes it a bit more exciting. It is worth noting, we are obviously a couple and aren’t very picky so I can see how the pasta/chips/roasted veg staples could be boring for children. All that would make the food better is hotter heat lamps and a tad more flavouring. The chefs even make pancakes/meat/eggs fresh infront of you so it all seemed high enough quality and we were never hungry. We ate out for dinner a few times just because we are foodies aha—we really enjoyed blacksea restaurant, restaurante Bellamar and Restaurante el Camino. All within 10 mins walk of the hotel. The drinks for all inclusive were a bit of a hit or miss. Me and my partner aren’t big drinkers, but as the option was there we would have a few each night. I liked the ‘Blue Fergus’ cocktail but sometimes it was too strong, other times it didn’t have the nice fruity taste—there just wasn’t consistency with the pool bar cocktails. I’d rather have nicer tasting cocktails than really alcoholic ones. Obviously the servers have a lot of guests but guest experience could be improved by more care with the drinks measures. We took part in the evening entertainment some nights. We took part in karaoke and my partner took part in ‘Mr Fergus’. The staff made a point of greeting us after that and they really appreciated us joining in. The staff really build a good atmosphere and you can see them in the pool areas, playing with the children and families. Even as a couple it was fun to see what everyone was getting up to. We had a superior sea view double room and I have no complaints about the actual room. It was a beautiful view, a comfy bed, large floorlength mirror for getting ready and a nice roomy bathroom. The cleaners came every day, saying hello as we passed and it was cleaned to a high standard. On our last day as we were waiting for our transfer to the airport in the lobby, the guest experience manager came and checked in with us and took note of an issue we had with our room key as it kept resetting itself (happened 3 times over the week) and she was very eager to sort the issue. Any time we had to speak to reception they were incredibly helpful and have made us feel we could approach easily.
