The hotel was fabulous in that it was clean, spacious, modern, and had a calm business vibe. It is set outside of the main Madrid attractions, which is nice for business travelers. If you are traveling to see the sites, you will need to take an Uber/ taxi, which is about 15-20 minutes per traffic and time of day. It's not bad, but not ideal if you want to walk out from your hotel and be in the action. Apart from location, the front desk staff are super friendly and helpful, the hotel has a modern vibe, and has some cool restaurants located around its vicinity. Im a huge fan of AC hotels now because of this beauty we stayed at in Madrid! Although its kinda far from the attractions, I'd still return and stay at this location again and refer it to future travelers!

Avoid at all cost!!! Please do not risk staying at the resort because the price appears affordable. Most of the staff are friendly and professional, but this is where the positive review ends. The A/C consistently doesn’t work and most mini fridges do not work as well. There is a lingering smell of sewage on the property. Building 10 is where my family stayed. This was the source of the smell. The food is tolerable, but booking reservations for the upscale restaurant is intentionally difficult. Don’t waste your money on upgrading to privilege because there’s no real benefit. Just pay extra and book somewhere else.

Because of the early flight and the hotel is near, I chose it! Old-brand hotel chains, management, service, facilities and equipment, hygiene and supporting facilities are all very good! 1.1 km from Punta Cana International Airport, about 5 minutes by car, the hotel has a shuttle bus to the airport, you can make an appointment in advance! Because the flight was too early, I didn’t have breakfast, I don’t know what happened! Slippers and toothpaste are not provided in the room. All the cups are disposable! The hotel is not on the beach, there is a burger shop and several restaurants nearby, two banks! There is no small supermarket, the water and snacks in the hotel lobby are super expensive, 4 times the price outside! The price is average!

Let me start off saying, I stayed at a RIU resort in Jamaica and my experience was totally different from the location in the DR. My friend and I are currently here and have been disappointed the entire trip. Our room has not had A/C the entire time we’ve been here. I’ve submitted 10 request over the past three days and the staff is just closing out the ticket without fixing the problem. We even went to the front desk and asked to be moved to another room and still wasn’t moved. We are literally waking up and going to sleep hot and sweating. The room also has ants(in picture) so I spent the first night being bit. The plates at the restaurants aren’t clean and some of the staff are using their bare hands to prepare the food on the buffet line. Something was floating in the drinking water(pictured) also it smells like sewer on different parts of the resort. No face towels No straws(have to put your mouth on the cups) Dingy towels Dirty pool I will NOT stay at another RIU Resort after this experience. This resort should not have a 5 or a 4 star review.

Hey all! As you have all expressed your fantastic thoughts, opinions and tips. I thought I would do the same. Your helpful hints and explanations were a great guide for us and I hope to do the same! A little background….we are a family of 4 (kid 10/4) traveling with another family of 4 (10/8). We had a master bedroom suite (club room 2311). We all went to the Finest last year and had a wonderful time as well. We have traveled to the DR frequently. 1. Arrival- we decided to do VIP arrival only because last year we were 30 minutes delayed from Newark and immagration took almost two hours and it was a night mare for us. The other party we flew with did not but the VIP and they were at the resort about 45 minutes after us. So in the end because of my 4 year old it was worth it. We started the vacation in the right mood VIP picks you up by golf cart from the plane to the VIP lounge. Your attend brings you in take your passports and transportation information and you are free to roam the small lounge. Soda, water beer wine and snacks are all there for your taking. She took our bag claim ticket to receive our luggage within 5 minutes we were out and off with beer wine water snacks in hand. They have a lovely bathroom (that we were barely able to use because it was so quick). We used destination meeting point for transfer without an problems… 25 minutes later we pulled up 2. We were greeted immediately, offered our name and was given our baggage tags. Whisked off to club lounge where we started the quick check in process. I asked to be introduced to our butler and Will was there waiting for us. He was the best! We saw him everyday he helped with reservations for 8. On the club level you can have bottle of non brand wine and liquor with mixers brought to your room. He made sure there was a bottle of wine and Dominican rum with mixers case of water, he would have cheese and crackers sent to our room chocolate covered strawberries alll without asking. He set up our room cleaning times and was a pleasure to be around. I will note we gave him $30 on check in $10 in between and $50 on our wait out. He was worth it in our opinion Key here is ask for what you are offer, need and want. Tip appropriate and all things will come to you 😀🤣 2. Our room was amazing spacious and lovely. We were 2311 (building 2) (floor 3) (11). If you are ocean view you want the last two number to be lower. The lower the number the closer to the beach! 3. I thought the food was amazing considering AI and the Finest last year. Remotest noodle and thread a must. The buffet Mercado was great too. Breakfast amazing and had some great dinner nights too We did waves for adults only dinner. Considering DR it was good. But if you are steak person you might be over the moon The coffee shop and ice pops and desserts are fantastic! 4. The resort is beautiful. Maintained impeccably and super clean The beach was fantastic ! Yes ladies and gentlemen there is sea**** this time of ye

We had a truly wonderful stay at this beautiful resort and plan to return. The setting is stunning, and the atmosphere is peaceful and luxurious. However, given the high price per night there are a few areas where the experience could be elevated to match the resort’s premium status. Some of the common areas like the lobby and outdoor spaces could feel a bit more inviting. Additionally, it would be great to offer far more complimentary activities like morning yoga, guided hikes, or bike rides. When the weather is rainy, I wish there were more things to do. The concierge service could also be more proactive. While the staff was polite, we felt there was room to go the extra mile in terms of responsiveness and personalized attention. The beach amenities, while enjoyable, could be enhanced with small touches like complimentary self-service cold water or even seasonal treats such as fruit or sorbet samples passed around. Breakfast at Blue Grill was delicious and fresh, though it would have been nice to see popular items like oatmeal or non-fat yogurt on the menu. We also encountered some confusion with reservations on OpenTable—one restaurant (Punta Espada) allowed bookings for dinner which is not accurate and wasted our time. Another restaurant, La Palapa, canceled our reservation but still seated us, creating confusion. These small suggestions are offered constructively, as we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will eagerly return. The resort has so much to offer, and with a few enhancements, it could truly exceed even the highest of expectations.

Other than our butler which was very nice and helpful after the fact we had to spend an extra 4500$ to upgrade to diamond package everything else was not representative of a 5 star this hotel should not be rated past 3 stars should not cost more than 1500$ per week per person. There seems to be a systematic money saving culture and upcharging tactics at this location to which we were held hostage of. This reflects in the opinions of most except for the short stay customers that probably generate more money for the resort. They also keep the prime rooms aside for short stay customers that spend more over their duration of trip. Barely any shade around the pool and anything more than a chair costs more to sit on and they kick you off asking for money. Pool was under construction and other work being done on infrastructure (grinders etc) lack of fans and proper air conditionning in common areas. NO watersports on the beach all closed. Buffet closed 2 days a week (never saw that before). Rooms were clean but thats about it. Buffet very small and VERY VERY HOT. Blacklisted this one save your money go somewhere else its bareley a 3 star. As for employees, some were great other seemed to be drained and also overwhelmed with the lack of fans and heat in their work areas.

My family (2 adults and 7 yr old) had a wonderful time at this resort. Beach: Beautiful blue water with sand that wasn't rocky and rough on the feet! I didn't find many remnants of seaweed, so they did a great job of keeping it clean. Waterpark: We loved the lazy river and spent most of our time in it. The bigger slides that adults could ride were not visible from the main section and we did not see any directionals. Lifeguards kindly informed us of where to go for the larger slides. I recommend that you wear water shoes since this is a water park, but also the ground is really hot when you're not in the water. Entertainment: We enjoyed Snick Lounge. Bring cash to put into the machine so that you can play air hockey or billiards pool. Snick Lounge also has retro arcade games for free! We also checked the app to catch where character pop-ups would be to save some $$ and not do character breakfast (although I heard from another guest that the food was worth the $$ since they love lobster). Family Shows: The resort did a great job of putting on nightly shows to entertain families and let the children participate a little. Food: We pretty much ate all meals at Explorers Table (I think it was named something else before??). They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet style. You can also get some items cooked to order at two of the stations there. BurgersPH was a fun experience. We enjoyed Dominican Night to experience local cuisine without having to leave the resort. Service: The staff at the resort were friendly and helpful; although we did run into one male server at the Explorers Table restaurant that wasn't too hospitable. Suite/Room: We booked a swim-up suite which left us disappointed due to the smell in the room and I found many mosquitos flying around our room every day (so they must not treat the outside area for mosquitos). Had I known before booking about the dengue virus (mosquitos transmit) that is rampant in Caribbean and Mexico, I would not have booked a swim-up suite. Other reviewers mention nausea and I wonder if they actually contracted dengue. Also, if you are family that likes to be around others and not secluded, don't splurge on a swim up...the infinity pool is much better and has a swim-up bar!

Secret Tides Punta Cana, the positives: the resort property is absolutely beautiful and well kept. The service is outstanding in the restaurants entertainment and pool areas. The rooms are newer and are very nice. The negatives: our AC was not working and we had maintenance technicians in our room 3 of the four days working on electrical and HVAC issues with panels torn apart and wires hanging out of the wall, ladder blocking the door so you could not get in or out of the room. The second most negative experience was they up sell you to preferred which is not cheap $90 plus per day per guest. The preferred membership allows access to another pool, another part of the beach for preferred guest only and additional bars and supposedly premier alcohol. We were told that we would receive a $200 voucher the next day to use anywhere in the resort along with the preferred upgrade. To be clear the 200$ voucher is multiple coupons for $10 off an additional 60-100$ bottle of wine. A coupon for additional $20 off a private $286 dinner. Multiple 40$ off a $269 massage or spa services. Not $200 to use anywhere in the resort you choose as we were advised. . This is very miss leading. In addition to the preferred membership they also try to get you to attend a 3 hour, join the preferred club for so many weeks at whatever Secret resort you choose. This is thousands depending on the level package you agree to. For wine lovers with the preferred upgrade your premier liquor is one of two Cab or Merlot. Dry and dry. No Red blend, no Pinot noir, no Rioja. Those are your two choices. At last the food: The buffet for breakfast and lunch was at the top of list for recommendations. The five restaurants for dinner I would say are edible, not great but not bad. Meaning nothing special or to write home about. The entertainment shows and additional entertainment around the resort daily were great and there was always something to do. The folks running the entertainment were great and very accommodating. The room troubles we had were brought up to management, there was not a sorry or any compensation in any form for the room troubles. We went on vacation to de stress, relax and just have a good time. The room issues and deceitful experience with Preferred just took a lot out of our trip. Hope this really helps others with our honest experience.

Excellent
GGuest UserEvery single thing from the service to the facilities, to the activities, to the food, to the room and just absolute stunning and sophisticated place. We truly have never been so happy with a hotel as we have been with TRS Turquesa. We cannot wait to go back next year!!! Our butler, Ray, was the absolute best!!!! He took care of every single thing for us every single day we were there. We are still speechless and how wonderful this vacation was. Truly amazing!
GGuest UserIt’s a very great resort and people out there is very kind. The restaurant Skybar has a beautiful seaside view. Johanny is very nice and kind to help us check in. Something went wrong with the air conditioner but they help change another room. Very great.
GGuest UserI really liked this hotel. All of the staff was nice, food was decent, and the entertainment was awesome. Learn some Spanish and Stay on the property when visiting the DR this is a poor country and a lot of parts look unsafe. The only complaint is the couch in the villa smelled horrible. Like previous people had went and played in the ocean and came and sat on the couch, however, I did not let management know so I can’t really complain also had trouble getting the tub to work.
GGuest UserOk. First off I don't know how anyone could give Marcos and Magdelina anything but 5 stars. They are both fluent in Spanish, English and several other languages which made everything very easy. When I wanted to practice on my Spanish Marcos would speak with me in Spanish and when I wanted to speak in English we spoke in English. If you read the other reviews, some people were confused about where they were and reviewed this place in error. I was traveling solo in the Dominican Republic as a single woman and I was slightly worried before arriving, but the second I walked into the garden late at night to check in - all my fears melted away. The family was sitting having a casual conversation with guests and the kids were playing on the ping pong table. They welcomed me like family. The most gracious couple I have ever met. In addition to being met by Marcos and Magdalena I was also met by a friendly dog which made this feel even more like home. As far as my room went, everything was clean, very spacious, had air conditioning in the bedroom, a mini fridge and some snacks and drinks in the minibar. I settled in immediately. I also ate dinner there every night because the food was so amazing! They have four different menus to choose from, including Dominican food, Caribbean and even Polish food. All of which was absolutely delicious. The service was incredible and it was a true experience that I will never forget. I even got to play air hockey with the kiddos! I almost don't want to write this review because I'm afraid I won't be able to get a reservation when I return next year! Now let's address the fact that this is not an all-inclusive resort. This is a small bed and breakfast that is run by a family. They have a recycle mentality and everything they had is reused and repurposed and I love that vibe. If you are one that wants fancy and luxury or no culture, this probably isn't the place for you. If you're a solo traveler that wants to feel like you're part of a family 1000% recommend. I will return to see them many many times. ♥️
DDagumaijiushiwanerThere are flamingos, good beer, and the female receptionist who checked me in was super friendly. There is a beautiful beach and seaside. There are singing and magic shows in the reception bar at night. Every female waiter I met was very good, warm and friendly. The male waiters ranged from very nice to unfriendly.
VVidal ClaramonteIt has been a pleasant stay. The customer service provided by the hotel has been satisfactory in general. The all-inclusive offer could be improved from my point of view. And for that price it could have included the transfer. Improvable facilities, especially the gym, which is not suitable for this hotel, is very small and inaccessible, it seems like a maze to enter. And the spa is also very poor and not even included in the offer of the all-inclusive package with a superior room. When in Spain 90% is included both services, transfer and spa. Great hotel, great chain, but my face of satisfaction for some other things remains indifferent for that reason... The variety in the food buffet was not too much either... it is compensated by the customer service and the environment of virgin beaches. Then a detail is the overweight in terms of street vendors outside and inside the enclosure...even with the massages...
FFreedom05282453809We stayed at Punta Cana Princess for a week(Sep.28-Oct.4)). My wife and I had an amazing time. Everything was perfect. Amazing staff, very friendly, and they will go over and beyond accommodate you. Miguel at the guest service was fenonenal. Very nice guy, friendly, kind. He was there for us anytime. Beach was spectacular, breathtaking. The food was amazing, too. I am raw vegan, and they had so much variety of fruit and vegetables, and it tastes sooooooo good. Delicious. I felt like I was in paradise. My wife eats everything, and she enjoyed her food as well. The room was very clean, spacious, and updated. Perfect. I highly recommend this resort, and we will be back.
JJuliette BernadetteWe had an okay trip to DR. The “hotel” is more like apartments, and people do seem to live here actually also. The rooftop pool is so awesome, and literally the best part of the place. The room is clean, but we killed probably 4-5 cockroaches in the room. Stove was all rusty. When arriving, the door didn’t lock & we were 2 women in their early 20s who are both > 130lbs. When requesting a new room, they “fixed” the door and refused to give us a new room. Scary location - we didn’t feel safe walking around at night here as women. Also, were scammed by a very nearby restaurant called “Bohio Punta Cana”. Free breakfast was awesome. No conditioner, only shampoo and “gel”? No hand soap. The shower seems to be salt water. I would honestly recommend staying on a resort if you come to DR, otherwise you might never want to come back.
HHerreraThe hotel does not look like the pictures. When I got yo my room, on the first night my room smelled of urine, as if person who was belied me peed and the hotel doesn’t clean it. It was unbearable, I had to ask reception to come and sort it out because I wasnt going to be able to sleep with that smell. The housekeeper came and she swiped the floor and it was much better.
The toilet handle was broken despite the water flushing.
The room smelled out humidity.
Not very sure of they changed the sheets needles I got there or even after.
The food was all artificial food, nothing organic. All drinks were from those sachets. Even the sprite tasted different :/
On NYE the food was much better, there were good choices, but still artificial.
Overall, it wasn’t that bad, a lot of people seemed to be okay with it. I am very picky so I notice everything.
