We stayed here for 5 nights. Room was nice, spacious near and clean with a attached balcony. Our room room was on 3rd floor with a nice view. Jagannath temple was clearly visible from the attached balcony. Hotel was about 6 to 7 min. walking distance from the sea. It has a pool even though small in size. Swargadwar was about 3 km from hotel. Buffet breakfast spread was nice. Room service was very slow and pathetic. If anything is ordered from room service it would take more than 45 minutes to reach. Even at restaurant when we ordered food, it would come at tabe after long time. Food taste was not that good except the buffet breakfast. That was disappointed. Housekeeping was very good. Staffs at reception was humble and nice.

Me and my wife went for this hotel after seeing all available options. The hotel staff were nice and courteous. We got an early check-in at 5 am despite check in being 9 am(thumbs up for that. The overall cleanliness was ok. We asked them to change the bedsheet and covers. Ac was working fine. Pool needs to be maintained. Also restaurant needs to be running as lack of eating options in the locality as it is very far from swargadar and some distance from lighthouse. But it is a front line hotel so proximity to beach is highlight.

Hotel Samudro is situated just behind the blue beach. I was at the hotel from 2-Sep till 5-Sep. Booked the sea facing rooms. Excellent view from the room with the blue beach and overlooking the sea and sands.. You can literally enjoy the sea from the room and the balcony. Very hospitable and courteous staff. They made sure we got everything we asked for, glasses, cups, plates, cleaning at request. The food is great and freshly made. Tastes great, good portion sizes and value for money. The complimentary breakfast menu is sumptuous and tatses great. Overall an excellent experience and I would surely love to come back to Hotel Somudro for the view from rooms, excellent staff services and great food!! Thank you.
