Qingting · Lyric Courtyard Hotel (Zhongshan Road Metro Station, Zhanqiao, Qingdao)

I rarely feel the need to leave a bad hotel review, but this time I have to objectively warn friends planning to visit Qingdao to avoid this place. First, the hygiene is seriously concerning: I found yellow stains and blood spots on the sheets, duvet, and pillows. The bathroom and sink constantly had a foul odor. The hotel must have cranked up the air conditioning beforehand to mask the smell, making it hard to notice when first entering, but as soon as the AC was turned off, the stench became immediately prominent. Secondly, the room layout is incredibly impractical, leading to a terrible user experience: The room design is bizarre. The platform only showed partial photos, not the full layout, which was clearly misleading. The shower and toilet area is long, narrow, and windowless, making movement awkward. The showerhead and sink faucet required constant adjusting to get any water, making the stay very inconvenient. What was most infuriating was the service: We arrived in Qingdao and checked in in the early hours of the morning. After discovering these issues, we immediately requested a room change, but didn't receive a response until 5 PM the next day. There wasn't a single apology, just the excuse of being too busy, and no compensatory solution offered. They simply asked coldly if we still wanted to change rooms. Due to our tight schedule, we didn't want to waste time arguing, so we begrudgingly endured the 3-day stay. For the price, this is not a cheap hostel, and while I don't expect five-star luxury, basic hygiene and service should be guaranteed, right? There are many other options at the same price point. I honestly do not recommend choosing this place. Only consider it if you can accept all the problems mentioned above.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, very close to the subway station with plenty of dining options nearby, and it's right by Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The hotel itself offers a serene environment amidst the hustle and bustle, with an elegant style that exceeded my expectations. The front desk staff, especially one young man, provided excellent service and even upgraded our room for free. It was a delightful stay.

Extremely satisfied with my stay! Everything, from the small details to the service, was clean and quiet. I think the hotel's designer has excellent taste; the aesthetic made me feel very comfortable. The laundry service was good too!

The location is indeed very convenient; it's close to everything, and you can walk or take the subway. However, for the price of this hotel, the cleanliness was subpar. When I checked in, there was leftover food waste from the previous guest, bloodstains on the sheets, cobwebs by the sink, and many black footprints on the white walls. The room's facilities were decent. The room isn't soundproof, mainly due to road noise, probably because of the window design which makes soundproofing difficult.

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient; the subway station is right next door, making it super easy to get around without needing a taxi. It's surrounded by popular attractions, with plenty of food, shopping, and sights to explore. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

I got a free room upgrade, and while the room wasn't huge, the hotel's location is fantastic – a quiet spot right next to the subway station, and across from the Da Bao Dao tourist area. It's super convenient for dining and getting around, and surprisingly quiet at night. It perfectly combines the charm of an old Qingdao building with modern travel needs.

I rarely leave bad reviews, and my trip to Qingdao was actually pretty good, especially the Beer Festival, but I have to give the room a poor rating. 1. I booked the room for 580 [currency], and it was much smaller than I expected, as you can see in the picture. 2. The shower drain was clogged, causing water to overflow into the bathroom. 3. There was very little shampoo left. I came back too late at night and had to dilute it with some water to use it.

This hotel felt like a factory dorm from a period drama. The electrical outlets in the room were broken, there were a lot of mosquitoes, and the bathroom had a slight odor, probably due to the age of the building, but it wasn't too severe. When we arrived, the staff helped with our luggage, but when we left, no one offered assistance. It's not that we absolutely needed someone to carry our bags, but the path leading out of the hotel is a gravel road, which made it really difficult to drag our luggage. Honestly, for this kind of room and service, it should really be around 500, but they're charging over 1000. At that price, you'd be better off choosing a Westin or Shangri-La.
