This was my first time visiting Qingdao, so I chose a central location and found it to be very close to May Fourth Square. It was great to be able to go for a stroll after dinner every night. The room itself was quite comfortable, and I really appreciate that the front desk upgraded my room for free! 😀🙏

The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly. The only catch while booking a room is that you have to check whether it has a full sea view or a partial sea view, because a partial sea view is not really worth the price, and it is better to choose a normal room instead. Breakfast includes both Chinese and international food. The building seems recently renovated and the fittings and furniture are quite new. The best part about the hotel is its location and the proximity to the sea shore/ deck and it is just a 10-minute walk away. It is one of the best locations for seeing the illuminated skyline of Qingdao at night. Although it is located slightly away from the main city centre like Zhongshan Street or the Badaguan scenic area, but the hotel is located in the modern part of the city and it takes about 15-20 didi ride to reach the historical places.

My experience at Orange Crystal Qingdao May Fourth Square was fantastic. The side sea-view king room offered a great view, and the room was clean and tidy with comfortable bedding.
