Very good location in the ancient city. The structure of the hotel is very nice too.

It was such an unique experience to stay in a hotel inside the ancient city wall, it felt like travelled back to China in the olden days. As it was off-peak season when we visited 山海关，we were upgraded to a family room, which mean there is a separate bedroom with a single bed, on top of a master room with a double bed. As it was rather cold and we were tired from all the walking, we decided to make life easy by eating at the restaurant within the hotel. We didn't expect much though. But..., we were much much more than surprise the dishes were Ace standard, be it in presentation or taste! A big big thumb up! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, we really enjoyed the service extended to us! It is no doubt hotel staff in China places their guests at top priority, making them feel at home at all times. P.S the teapot was not filled with tea but a yummilicious 松茸汤。

Upsides: charming low-rise hotel; convenient location in the old town, friendly and helpful staff (though limited English), generous buffet breakfast Downsides: a raucous and chain-smoking (but amicable) group of other guests. A leaking washbasin (fixed promptly). No bar. Would stay happily again.

Excellent location near the west gate of the walled town . Walking distance to all corners of the old town. The hotel is built in ancient Chinese style and is a popular photo spot for tourists. The room is not well soundproofed but, fortunate for us, noises were minimal during sleep hours. Shower and air-conditioning (heating) could be improved.

This is a very well-appointed and comfortable hotel located within the old town walls of Shanhaiguan, 50 yards or so from the east gate. It is built and decorated in the traditional style of the area. Large, comfortable beds, the a/c unit warms the room. A filling and varied breakfast is delivered to the room in the morning. The staff are cheerful and pleasant. The hotel boasts a restaurant in a separate building which serves a wide selection of delicious food. Private dining rooms are available. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would be very happy to return.

I had a very good stay. The first room they gave me, there was mold in the bathroom. It was quickly resolved as they upgraded my room. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Location is amazing, right in the centre of the old town. Will definitely be returning!

I found this hotel by accident at first. After reading many people's reviews, I thought it should be good, and I booked three nights with trepidation. After arriving, I found that it is indeed very design-conscious and tasteful. The overall style is warm and gives people a very comfortable feeling. The hotel's slippers are the most comfortable hotel slippers I have ever used, no doubt about it! Although the breakfast is not as luxurious as that of a five-star hotel, it also has Chinese and Western styles, with a reasonable combination of meat and vegetables, and it is also comfortable to eat! The hotel's service staff are also very professional, and you can feel their proactive service.

The hotel is clean and tidy, the hygiene is very good, the overall cost performance is good, there is a parking lot in the courtyard, and it is located in the Shanhaiguan Ancient City Scenic Area, which is very convenient for going out and playing.

Parking is very convenient and the hotel is in a good location. I found it right away. As soon as I arrived downstairs, the room service lady came to help me with my luggage, which was very considerate. The environment is also very beautiful, which made me like it at first sight. I ordered a breakfast package, which tasted very delicious. I will choose this one again when I come to play next time. 😆

There is a parking lot in the hotel, which is very convenient. The hotel has a great location. It is only 700 meters away from the No. 1 Pass in the World. The front desk staff is very gentle and there is a rich buffet breakfast. It is really great.

The hotel is antique and charming. The big-eyed girl at the front desk provided great service and took the initiative to upgrade the room. It was very heartwarming! After dinner, we took a walk in the ancient city. The night view was beautiful and relaxing.
