This is a super great homestay, an old house left over from the Qing Dynasty. Located at No. 356, Lin Family Courtyard (House), West Street, it is said to be the residence of Lin Zhiyu and Weng Shurong, rebuilt in 1911 during the Qing Dynasty. Many celebrities have walked out of here, including Lin Zugeng, former president of Xiamen University, Lin Zuyi, former deputy minister of transportation, and others. Anyway, it is the house of a scholarly family. Later, the current owner repaired it on the basis of repairing the old without destroying it. The wooden lattice window grilles, stones, eaves, and my favorite palace chairs are all well preserved. The store manager here is particularly excellent, young and handsome. He introduced me to some of the origins of the buildings in the homestay. The important thing is that he is responsive to requests, such as recommending nearby tourist routes, delicious food, hairpin photography, etc., all of which are very careful and thoughtful. The homestay is clean and has a sense of history of old objects. There is a tea table in the gate which is my favorite place. Because I like to drink tea, I sometimes sit here. In the evening before leaving, I met a retired veteran, who should be a leader. He also loves to drink tea and stays here every year. It is as warm and comfortable as home. In particular, this is the best place to take pictures of hairpins. When the weather is hot, you don’t need to run around outside. You can take pictures directly in the homestay and change clothes at any time. In short, this experience is really worth the money!!!

It feels like it may have been left behind before the renovation. Also, it has been really cold in Quanzhou these days. The temperature in the room near the door is too low. Although there is air conditioning, the newly renovated old house still has a bit of air leakage. The room upstairs is quite comfortable, but the one at the door is very, very cold.
