Best Hotels near Quanzhou Hualian Commercial Building, Quanzhou

Stayed late Oct, early Nov 23 for 3 nights. Check-in straight forward. Chinese breakfast included, real bread available. Rooms clean, comfortable, quiet and smoke free. Hotel has free laundry and tea area, but not much else to offer. From the main intersection (China Post) walk north for Starbucks, walk west for Confucian temple and Zhongshan Lu (main tourist area). Turn right here to Xi Lu (pedestrian street) for Kaiyuan temple. Back to the China Post intersection, walk South to a small river and right for Guandi temple and the mosque. Take bus 203 or 604 on Dong Lu (the extension of Xi Lu) for the Muslim cemetery and walk back to the Maritime museum, both worth a look

I was traveling with an elderly person and arrived at the hotel a little early. I sat in the lobby for a while and waited for the room to be cleaned before the front desk allowed me to check in early. I forgot to take pictures of the interior of the room, it was very clean and fully equipped. I saw someone commenting that the hotel is old, but I saw a notice posted downstairs that the hotel is being upgraded. It's not expensive to go to the laundry room on the first floor to wash a bucket of clothes and dry them. The hotel is very convenient to go to various scenic spots. You can walk or take a local taxi. You can truly experience the ancient city life of ”half fireworks and half incense”.

Very convenient location. Rooms are big, well equipped and the staff is very helpful. I highly recommend this hotel.

Quanzhou is very popular during the Chinese New Year, and the scenic spots are crowded with people. Basically, I feel tired after walking to one or two scenic spots. Fortunately, the hotel is pretty good and not far from the scenic spots. Basically, I go out for a walk in the morning, go back to the hotel to rest in the afternoon, and then go out for a walk and eat in the evening after I have had enough rest.

Excellent hotel. It gets everything right. Welcoming, easy check in, comfortable and spacious rooms, clean (which for a large hotel with such high occupancy is the clearest way to see that it is a very well managed hotel!) and a full, delicious breakfast buffet with healthy choices. I’ve stayed there several times and think there must be a new manager because the post Covid version is especially good. A shopping area adjacent to the hotel offers a good place to wander. I’m a Hilton Diamond member but chose to stay at the Wanda Vista when I’m in Quanzhou.

New renovation has given it a much modern touch and comfort feeling. Front desk reception remains exceptional as in the past. The only one complaint is the lighting brightness in the bathroom above the facial sink - totally inadequate to support a proper shaving - needs to be brighter so that guest could see their own faces. Otherwise, everything is what it takes to be a top rated hotel.

we liked the proactiveness of the check in staff members as they are energetic, proactive and dynamic. they helped us to navigate our sense of direction in the city and the use of the apps. the hotel is centrally located, convenient to move around and the breakfast is delicious. The staff members manning the breakfast were proactive and pleasant to associate with and contributed to our enjoyment of the delicious breakfast.

After playing in Meizhou Island for a few days, I was tired of the sea and thought about going to Quanzhou Ancient City. I wanted to go to Zanhua once. I searched for the Qixu Bell Tower, which was ranked first, and booked it immediately. Not long after, I received a call from the hotel, and then the receptionist Andy added WeChat and began to introduce the Quanzhou tour route and local dining recommendations. Oh, this really relieved my troubles. I was worried about not knowing how to play and eat in Quanzhou, and it was all solved for me at once. When I arrived at Quanzhou Station the next day, Andy contacted me from time to time to confirm the location, and then came to the place where we got off to pick us up and help us check in. Seeing that my baby fell asleep, they all whispered about the details of the check-in. When I heard that we didn’t have lunch, I recommended that we use the invincible and delicious Manjian cake in the hotel. It was really delicious afternoon tea. When we checked in, we booked a double room, but we had three adults and one child. Andy helped upgrade the East Building Twin Room with a larger room and better view facing West Street. He also wrapped a small bed for our sofa. Three beds in one room perfectly solved the problem of three adults and one child staying. Special thanks to Andy for recommending ”Lizhiyuan” and ”Citong Bieyuan” to us. They are the kind of restaurants that make you fall in love with Minnan cuisine! When I came back to the room at night, the hotel room also made a night bed, and also sent earplugs and milk very considerately! The breakfast was also very rich. Without leaving the hotel, I almost tasted all the famous snacks in Quanzhou, including peanut soup, noodle soup, and Manjian cake... A perfect trip to Quanzhou. I have to stay in Qixu next time!
