A hotel that performs wonderfully. Very friendly and willing service. The facilities are a little old, but everything is clean. The location is great, next to the bus station and the beach.
Incredible breakfasts!!! even fresh orange juice

We recently stayed at Hotel Quarteirasol in Faro, Portugal and our overall experience was mixed. The location of the hotel was definitely a plus, as it was close to the beach and there were several restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The breakfast was decent and there was a good variety of dishes to choose from.
The front desk staff weren't always as friendly as we'd hoped, while some staff were friendly, others were a bit curt and didn't seem interested in answering questions. Also, it was not possible to check in earlier than 3:00 PM, even if the room was already ready.
The room itself was quite basic, but had some positives. The shower had a good strong jet, which was definitely a plus. The mattress of the bed was also comfortable and ensured a good night's sleep, the pillows were unfortunately less comfortable. We were not bothered by noise, which was also a plus. A TV with smart cast was also available. The room was clean, but there was nothing special about the decor or furnishings.
All in all, we would recommend Hotel Quarteirasol if you are looking for an affordable hotel close to the beach and restaurants. However, keep in mind that the room is quite basic and that the front desk staff is not always friendly.
