"We booked this property expecting a hotel-style experience, but on arrival it became clear that it operates more as a hostel or guesthouse, which was not what we had anticipated. We arrived approximately 2.5 hours before check-in and found that the only waiting area available was an outdoor patio with metal chairs and a table. Another guest who had also arrived early explained that she had been told by the cleaner that access to the property would not be possible until 3:00 p.m. While waiting, we learned that the shared facilities consisted of a small dining area with a narrow refrigerator (one shelf allocated per guest), a kettle, and a microwave. As we had booked what was described as bed and breakfast accommodation, this was somewhat confusing. I was also concerned because I need to keep prescription injections refrigerated, and I was unsure whether the available facilities would be suitable. Needing to use a bathroom, we left our luggage and went for a walk. The property is advertised as being around 150 yards from the beach, which is technically correct. However, prospective guests should be aware that this is not the wide sandy beach many may expect when visiting the area. Instead, it is a narrow strip of shingle alongside a busy road. We spent around 35 minutes walking along the seafront looking for basic amenities such as a café, supermarket, or public restroom. Apart from a small newspaper kiosk where we purchased water, we found very little within easy walking distance. While other guests may not find this an issue, we felt that access to amenities without a car was limited. After returning to the property, it became apparent that having a car would greatly improve the experience. Although there is a nearby bus route, it appeared to be the main option for reaching restaurants, shops, and the more popular beach areas. To be fair, the room itself appeared clean and nicely presented. However, for us, the location and limited facilities did not justify the price paid. We also felt that the "beachfront" description could create expectations that do not accurately reflect the setting. Because of these concerns, and taking into account our age and my medical requirements, I asked whether we could shorten our five-day stay and receive a partial refund. Unfortunately, this request was declined. The response was that the booking had been made five months earlier and that we should have researched the property more thoroughly or asked additional questions before booking. As a result, we were charged for the full stay. We ultimately chose to move to an apartment in central Cagliari, which cost less and proved to be a much better fit for our needs. Overall, this property may suit travellers looking for simple accommodation and who have access to a car. However, guests expecting hotel-style facilities, easy access to amenities, or a traditional beach resort location may wish to research the area carefully before booking."
