Wonderful place, friendly staff great breakfast, great location and great beer garden facing the little steam Rooms very spacious and cleaned daily 3rd time visiting this great place will be back definitely Very helpful reception staff and manager

The B&B looked like the nicest in the area I chose to come here because it is nearer to home and less noisy than some coastal places. When I arrived they told me the breakfast times and gave me a code to get into the door if I am out late at night. My room was very clean and had a working air conditioning unit and a TV. The kettle needed switching off at the socket as between uses it kept making a noise that was annoying. I chose to eat here two nights in three and had the big breakfast every morning. The lighting in the room in the evenings was a little harsh for my eyes and really good that I have brought sunglasses. If it was not for my eye mask also the light coming under the door into the corridor in the night would have annoyed me. The curtains were nice and heavy though so not much light came in. The meal service was not as efficient as expected. The chef kept arriving late and I was never asked about my allergy or intolerance until after they expected me to select from the menu which was just left at my table. When asking for a drinks menu, they said they didn’t have one. There were signs saying stuff like cash is king which I disagreed with. I’d rather pay them their card fees than carry cash. Cash to me is not king! It’s heavy, cannot secure it if stolen and can’t pay any amount using credit. When it’s gone, it’s gone. More pros than cons though, because the cons I have managed to mitigate by myself.

We have had reason to frequent the queen phillipa on several occasion recently and whilst we did not stay there (we live local) we have used all of the other facilities available.The food is amazing and very reasonably priced, the staff cannot do enough for you especially Donna who seemed to turn her hand to anything and everything she was a true asset to an amazing team,furthermore we could not recommend chartering the queen phillipa boat we enjoyed 3 hours sailing with the skipper who could not be more obliging,well done you guys for getting it so right Regards Fabio and Lyndsay Chiellini

Excellent small hotel with friendly informative staff, good hygiene in comfortable rooms & facilities. Food was good, all round good value for money. In walking distance of local historical area. Parking limited, free parking locally.

Terrible breakfast! We ordered a large and first plate it was cold, got another breakfast and bacon wasn’t cooked, sausage very under cooked, lots of grease on the plate. As my group finished their food my plate came out so I had to eat on my own. Very disappointed!

This was the 5th time in 4 years that my daughter & I have stayed here. It really is a home from home for us. The rooms are very clean & comfortable with a great shower. The breakfast certainly sets you up for the day whether you like a cooked one or just pastries & cereals or even both! We were lucky to be shown around the boat moored to the rear of the hotel on the creek, where up to 4 people can sleep. It looked very good & I'm sure kids would love the experience! Thank you Danny & team for another 3 night stay & we will be seeing you same time next year.

2nd. time staying at the Queen Phillipa as it is very convenient when visiting relatives in Sheppey. As our previous stay everything was excellent . We were going to a family event , so would be arriving early the not back until late .Reception confirmed prior to arrival this could be accomodated which was very useful .As it happened our rooms were available early so we were able to check in and leave luggage etc . The owners had an event on the Saturday so they and many staff were not around , with only a skeleton staff available . Although this continued on to the Sunday morning , with a busy breakfast the staff coped admirably and food for all of us was lovely . The room as before was clean and spacious .We will always make this B&B our first choice when visiting Sheppey.
