Swiss-Belsuites Pounamu Queenstown Reviews

Pounamu apartments super suites are the upstairs units with a small balcony. The view over the lake and the mountains was really nice, especially after a snowfall overnight. Inside the unit, the kitchen was very functional with oven, cooktop and microwave. Air conditioning and fake fireplace kept the unit to a reasonable heat at the start of winter but this may be an issue in the middle of winter. The shower had great water pressure and great hot water. It too about 15 minutes to walk into the city centre but the walk back along the lake requires a walk up a hill which was a little taxing so the main road is a better way back. Short drive to New World and Woolworths in Frankton.

The room was small but well equipped with mini kitchen extra blankets & also simple breakfast. They ease our late check-in well with parking facilities. Overall it was a reasonable stay.

The room type is not the same as presented pictures. Our room looks like motel with no view.

We had the 2 bedroom suite, with 2 bathrooms. It had everything we need for a family. TV in every room and lounge. Well equipped with Bosch washer-dryer, ironing, drying rack etc and the kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, stove top and even an insinkerator. Coffee capsules refilled daily for the nespresso fix. Feels like home. We had a comfortable warm stay and happy to stay again. Outdoor seating area is good for fresh alpine air. Designated parking outside the door.

The reception girl is such a mean ******!!! Impolite , impatient and unhelpful!!! As for the Hygienic conditions, the house keeping is lazy and dirty! Never book again and never recommend!

Good experience

We booked this suite for new year eve for a family of 4+1 and was so disappointed with the room. The cutleries were dirty, the bathroom smells, the toilet wasn’t working well and there is no air-condition. They only offered 2 fans for summer. We went with breakfast option and was shocked to know that it’s continental breakfast instead of buffet, should have read throughly before I booked the room. That said, the fruits provided were too ripe and doesn’t look fresh. We asked for baby cot and was told that there is no more room service. We paid SGD 1.2K for a night and it’s the worst stay we have ever experienced. Definitely not a 4-5 star apartment as they advertised as the suite was located within a building where there are other apartment owners living within.

I cannot see the full lake view from my lake view room. Make sure you communicate well before arrival to ensure you got a real lake view room

The room is nice and clean. The only thing is the location is abit far from the towncentre and the walk requires crossing some roadworks, heavy and fast traffic especially in the early hours and a slope up and down where our room is located. Also, trip.com stated chinese breakfast, which we paid extra for, but we were given one breakfast basket on checkin for all 3 nights of our stay, though we were told to call for more if we had finished. However, when we called on 3rd day for more bread in the mornings, we were given frozen rock hard bread which was a real letdown.

Good place to stay but not impress with cleaning. Sheets weren’t cleaned , bathroom wasn’t cleaned. Great view if you staying in a room with balcony.

The location was too far away from the centre of queenstown. Poor accessibility

The stay was lovely although the neighbours that were staying next door where quite noisy slamming doors but apart from that beautiful room and close walk to town
