Unbeatable location, with only few minutes of walk to pretty much most of the meeting points. There are fridge and a clothes hanging place in the room (some perks that are not frequently available in share dorms). The only downside is that the kitchen is small and very crowded during mealtime, and the ventilation for the kitchen is a bit not enough. Though overall speaking, it was a great stay.

Perfectly situated in the heart of town, this location offers unparalleled access to local attractions. However, the room's cleanliness falls short, with the en-suite requiring attention and a blocked floor drain in the bathroom hindering comfort. A mixed experience in an otherwise prime location.

If you are traveling alone, I recommend staying here! The service attitude is good, there is enough space for luggage, each bed has curtains that can be drawn, each bed also has a charging hole (bring your own socket) and lights, and the bathroom provides shower gel, which is better than Nomads😅

This is the best hostel choice for living in Queenstown. The location is very good and close to the meeting points of various activities. The service of the counter staff is very good and they answer all questions.

It's located in the center of town and the location is great. It is convenient to go anywhere on foot, but there are many places where there are no parking lots nearby or there are time restrictions. If you can rent a car, we recommend parking a 10-minute walk away from the center. The room is clean, but the kitchen is so-so. It is at a level that is okay for a light snack. The only amenities provided are bath towels, so we recommend bringing your own.

It's right in the city center, very close to the lake, burger shop and cable car. You can see the outside scenery through the glass windows of the restaurant. It's very convenient. It's a very good backpackers room.

Stayed in a private ensuite room in early August 2024. Location is very convenient and just a minute’s walk from Duke Street for those catching the ski buses to the mountains. The room was spacious and clean. Also contained a mini fridge. Towels are provided but hairdryers have to be requested from reception. Coffee, tea and hot choc were provided in the communal kitchen as advertised and you could buy your own groceries from the nearby shops and cook your own meals if you wanted. Wifi worked great throughout our entire stay. They have a laundromat on site which also houses the ski/board storage room. For the price, you probably can’t get any better than this place. Queenstown accomodation is generally expensive and this place isn’t exactly cheap either but it is one of the most affordable options and is great value so long as you’re not looking for luxury. If I had to nitpick, I guess the mattresses could be a little bit firmer and the sink in the ensuite was too small. Otherwise, not much to complain about.

Amazing location, clean and comfortable rooms (we stayed in the family en suite room), good clean kitchen with good facilities and clean crockery. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our kids loved the lounge area. Parking was a bit stressful. When you first arrive it feels like you are driving down a pedestrian street and can only park outside for five minutes which made the arrival a bit stressful - we dropped the bags and then had to go and find free street parking elsewhere. Once we were used to that system it was fine.

Great place to stay in the centre of Queenstown for 8 nights. We booked out the whole room as did another family member. Has a laundry attached, and a lift that’s turned off from 10 pm till 9 am each nite, but the hostel kept it running at night for a family member who had got out of hospital that morning and had to use a walker. Staff at reception very helpful. The cleaning staff kept the wet areas cleaned. Handy to everything. Kitchen in tip top order, although more signs are needed to explain about it being each persons responsibility to clean up after themselves.

Been staying in Absoloot for a week and this is by far my favourite, so much was going on. All about their perfect location, ideal kitchen with stunning view, rooms are decent and get cleaned everyday, lots of amazing people and good team, big credit to helpful and hospitable staff_Mike.

I couldn't fault Absoloot. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, right in the heart of Queenstown. Room was large enough, beds comfortable and bathrooms/toilets clean. The breakfast room/kitchen is open and airy. Ideal scenery over a slow breakfast. The lounge room was filled with bean bags, books and a large TV screen. I slept there on my last night after putting up with two nights sharing my room with a loud snorer.
