Beautiful and comfortable with great service. Spa was Devine. Daily breakfast was fresh and delicious.

Nice experience with family and childrens however it goes to the beach wasn't that comfortable by that path.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shana and found the room, facilities and staff excellent. The breakfast, the bar and the dinners were equally excellent and the beach was also an added bonus. We plan on returning to Shana on our next visit it Costa Rica.

We quite liked the cleanliness and impeccable service. The climb to the beach is steep but it has private access and that is very beneficial.

The breakfast scenery is good, the room facilities are average, and the rugged mountain road, especially the 45-degree slope in the hotel, is like a roller coaster.

Very nice place and excellent service! The very nice facilities and the view! The price is accessible, the only thing is the cost of the letter but in general excellent attention! Very attentive.

Paradise! A near-private beach that was about as good as Manuel Antonio (accessible only through two hotel paths). Winding paths through a private rainforest, relaxing pool with swing chairs. Delicious breakfast buffet. Rooms were quiet, could not hear any neighbors even though it was full during my stay. Balcony overlooked the ocean and the forest canopy. I travel a lot (Marriott lifetime titanium) and this easily compared to some of the best hotels out there. Hope to come back one day.

I always love staying at Shana by the Beach. This is my third time in Costa Rica and my third time staying at this property. Everything is clean and nice and the staff are friendly and professional. I particularly adore Javier, a server in the restaurant. He always treats my family and I so pleasantly. Beautiful property with an amazing view of the ocean!

Absolutely amazing customer service. To begin with. All employees wear a logo on their uniform that says I love my job. And it stands by it. Everyone has such positive attitude and go out of their way to help you and make it a pleasant experience Kevin at front desk was great!!

I enjoyed my stay at Shana, staff was cordial. The entire location is unique to my previous experience, nature and hospitality and the beauty of the space was awesome.

This was our fancy night on an otherwise more budgeted trip and we LOVED it! Shana clings to the side of the hill at the end of a narrow road on a pretty undeveloped peninsula, so there are lots of animals in the surrounding jungle. We saw a sloth at the beach, and toucans and squirrel monkeys from the open-air restaurant. The pool was lovely. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. The room was almost silly it was so large, I went snorkeling from the beach but didn't have good visibility. You can rent kayaks on the beach. The one downside is this isn't a good option for anyone who has mobility issues because it's on such a steep slope. There's a staff member with a golf cart to give anyone a ride from their room level up to the restaurant, etc., so that helps. The walk down to Playa Briensz is down (and up) a steep trail. Also, the view faces north, so you don't have a view of the ocean or the sunset.
