First of all, it should be noted that the hotel accepts foreigners (as of October 2023). The location is very convenient for visiting the most notable attractions in Qufu (it's about 300 meters from the entrance to the Confucius Temple). There are also plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. There are direct buses to/from both Qufu and Qufu East train stations. The room itself was good and the facilities were in good condition (there was even an ancient Pentium 4 in the room, for some reason). The staff was also very kind. My only issue is that the rooms are all smoking rooms, so that the smell of cigarettes is hard to avoid, but that is written on the booking page. Still, if you're sensitive to that, you may wish to find a non-smoking room elsewhere.

Owned by a wonderful Chinese family who would talk with me each afternoon or evening upon my return to the hotel. The grandfather and I had a wonderful discussion the day I left and he told me that they hoped I would visit them again.
