Except for geographical location, which is a plus, the rest are all deductions. There was no one at the front desk when I checked in, so I had to wait for at least ten minutes. Moreover, the cold dishes for breakfast (orange slices or fermented meat products) seemed to have microbial conditions. My friends and I both suffered from mild diarrhea after eating them.

Chinese people do not lie to Chinese people. This is the most cost-effective hotel I have stayed in Rabat.

This was a very nice hotel in Rabat. The rooms were quite clean. Bathroom was large with hot water. Beds were comfortable. The breakfast was quite good. They had omelets on request as well. A short walk to Hassan Tower.

I would recommend 100% please ignore all the bad comments for this hotel. The location is unbeatable it’s on the same road as the Hassan Tower which is 5 minute walk. You can also walk it to the Kasbah of the Udayas which is a must, old market, Mohammed VI tower etc. The Tour Hassan Tram station is a 5 minute walk. Carrefour supermarket is 8 minute walk. The breakfast is good there’s a chief to make you egg and many other breakfast options only negative is very limited fruit no melon or banana. Also your only allowed one free bottled of water per day which I thought was strange for a hotel.

Stayed at the Mercure as part of a tour of Morocco. The tour had booked us into 4 star hotels but we had very average and subpar experiences so were looking forward to staying at an Accor hotel which guarantees a certain level of standard, professionalism and cleanliness. How wrong was I to think that. Upon entering the room, there was a strong smell of oil based paint. The bathroom sink had ***** hair in it, shampoo and conditioner were only half full ie used, hooks for towels were broken, there were no bath towels and worst of all, there was urine in the toilet left unflushed! After raising these issues to reception, they moved us to a different room but the oil based paint smell remained. Other than that the shower had good water pressure and temperature and the hotel breakfast was quite good. Not all rooms have hair dryers. Our first room did but our second room did not. I really enjoy staying at Accor hotels but I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. It is not up to the usual standard of an Accor hotel.

We stayed at this hotel as part of a group tour. This very nice hotel has the tradition look you would expect in Morocco. Our room was a good size, large shower, no bath, safe in room, WiFi and tea/coffee making facilities. The breakfast/restaurant room was large with a lot of food choices - no meusli though! Good location - Very nice nearby walks at night with views of the Opera House and the unfinished Mosque.
Response from Property: We always find it nice to read that our guests went home with great holiday memories and we are very grateful for the time and effort you spent to share your personal experience at our Mercure hotel with us and Tripadvisor readers. We look forward to welcoming you back again very soon. Best regerds- Hasna Buallouchi

Entrance to hotel is very narrow. Inside there is no ramp. There are 3 big steps to the elevator. This hotel is definitely ignoring people with mobility issues. People who need a wheelchair shouldn’t come to this hotel. You wouldn’t even enter through the door because the narrowness. The bathroom door is a louvered door. Everything you do inside you can listen to outside. No way of showering without wakening up the other person. The light when on is noisy. The make-up mirror was installed at almost 2m high, I’m 1.60m. The hair dryer had broken parts and could only work when the hose was high. So I had to held the hose high while the other hand was drying my hair. After ten minutes I had to pause because there was no protection for the hand (that was one of the broken parts) and the holder went really hot. I woke up at 07:30 to the kitchen smell; probably preparing breakfast. There is definitely some weird ventilation connection from the kitchen to the room. One can hear a person shower on the upper floor. There are two light switches: one on any bedside. Only the left one works. Very tiny room for two persons. We couldn’t move together in the room. Bed is hard, which I like. A/C didn’t work. Bathroom is very tiny. All in all it’s a hotel I’ll never come back.

The hotel is dirty, blood and urine on the carpet. The toilet was not clean even if it had a check sticker and there was a hair on the sheets. The wifi does not work. I had to sit in the lobby to connect. that is when i found out 2 other people shared the same feelings with me. The hotel is terrible en way below the price range. Receptionist tried to be friendly, but I had this feeling this happens a lot more.

The hotel is in a very good location in Rabat. It’s a short walk to Hassan Tower and Mausoleum of Mohammed V. The neighbourhood is safe and there are many embassies there. The breakfast buffet was very nice with a lot of varieties. There’s no car parking at the hotel, we were told to park in the street and pay the night guard who watches the cars over night. The only downside was the tired room furniture and the insufficient room lighting, but for one night stay that wasn’t a big deal.
