Was natürlich nicht stimmt.

Well, what can I say? Nothing authentic, everything looked liked in Disneyland. One day was enough. I didn't like it. And really expensive place. If you accomodate, drink, eat and take a trip or two, in that money you can travel abroad and experience much more.

This is a very large resort in the “middle of nowhere” with access to a large lake. Style is very rustic, but comfortable. Staff in the safari lodge are super helpful and can organize lots of activities like canoeing, bike rides or boat tours. Spa is also in a separate building and in my view not worth the 34 EUR entrance fee - two small pool and a few saunas. Especially as there is a like side beach right next to it. Our room (up on the hill) was fully equipped with a kitchen, sauna and washing machine (which nobody was able to explain us how to operate). Breakfast is Finnish standard plus a (very popular) waffle maker. Food in the bistro was not very good. Free parking on the premises and also some (quite expensive) chargers.

Nice place still with a lot of activities but gone a bit down in couple of years. Devil in details . Seems that during the years loosing the touch. Thanks for very good spa threatment. Service is not always very friendly. If you want sleep without earplugs check that there is not any outdoor conserts- noise stops aroud 3/4 am.

Spent two nights at the hotel. Here are some observations: - Spa locker room and shower room were very small and cramped. Couldn't fit my towel or stuff properly anywhere - otherwise spa was nice but a bit small - different saunas are the main thing, not the two small pools indoors - we had silverfish ("sokeritoukka" in Finnish) in our room (disgusting) - mattress in our bed was uncomfortable and needs updating to a new one. The whole bed was squeaky. - breakfast was good, bistro food just mediocre - we didn't have any bath robes in our room although it was said there would be. Not a big deal, though - there were a lot of lit candles everywhere which isn't good if thinking about breathing air - at evening the music at the bistro/bar was too loud - Resort is overall a bit overpricey

The cabin (panorama suite) was beautifully decorated and the beds were comfortable to sleep on. The cabin's jacuzzi was a nice addition, where we spent many hours. A big minus of paid parking in such a remote place. The breakfast was varied and the food at dinner was really good in the fire kitchen. The spa, on the other hand, was a disappointment. Cramped dressing room. The water in the pools was too cool. There was no steam in the steam room and it smelled like urine. As a positive thing, free snacks at the pool bar. A hot pool was missing, but luckily our cabin had a jacuzzi with a suitable temperature

My mum, my wife and I just stayed here overnight celebrating my mums 90th anniversary. My mum was totally amazed by the beautiful views and luxury of all the facilities. Everything worked well and service was excellent - she got even a birthday rose both in the suite with a card and a rose on the dinner table! We had a amazing view from the suite nearest to the lake. We liked the Valamo wine tasting and the three course meal at Tulikeittiö in the evening was delicious. Beds were comfortable and breakfast versatile and tasted well. We have to come again and test the spa, too. I believe that in summer this place is even better with more activities and better views in sunshine as well. The only thing what my mum didn't like was too steep slopes to walk to the restaurant and back, but I solved that problem by picking her by car. For us "younger retired ones" that wouldn't cause any harm! We liked the place as my mum.

We come here 1-2 times per year and every time it amazes me how beautiful place it is. Very good price for so nice rooms. Clean, good food, activities and beautiful nature, you name it. Spa is the reason to come here. Kuru resort is my favourite.
