Novotel Reading Centre Reviews

Two lifts out of three not working. Remaining one had no light except the glow from the control panel. We were floor 9. Lift took us to 4, then 13, then 10, then 4, then basement, and back to ground floor. My wife has claustrophobia and does not like small dark enclosed spaces. Helpful staff led us through to next-door Ibis where lifts were working and illuminated, and gave us a card to use them. Price of Snickers bar and similar items is £2.49. Costs 99p in small store just along the road. Room was OK when we finally got to it, but initial experience puts us off using Novotel again.

staff cool, assigned room on low floor next to a flat roof with unpleasant view! after complaining, change to a better floor and open distant view

Excellent location The shower water is too hot that can’t use No complimentary bottle water provide 

Staff are nice and helpful. Only the access card with failure from time to time.

The shower cubicle was on the small size. You have to be a size 8 to 12 to fit in the shower comfortably. It was disappointing 😞

Good location, good breakfast, nice person, a little bit noise on Saturday night, too hot in room, no air conditioning.

The swimming pool is in use! Great to have it. The room is big for family room

Leg got itchy after sleep on the bed. Carpet looks old. Service and breakfast is good.

Great last minute booking. Comfortable room and importantly close to Reading station. Front desk was manned until late making check in smooth.

It was a shame the steam room was out of order. Service very good and the hotel was quiet enough. The lifts are a bit slow. Gym looks decent and the pool and sauna was nice.

Very near to train station. Variety of breakfast. A museum is nearby.

Nice room. There is a pool and gym. If you are driving, you can email hotel with car plate to reserve a car park. 4 EV charging parking space is available. Tricky to find the car park though, so entrance on Station Rd. Shopping area across the street. Find the Picnic cafe, they bakery and coffee is great.
