The worst hotel I have ever stayed at! Please do not stay here. A big chunk was missing from the sponge mattress. Dirt up the walls… see the photos. Take your own pillow too! Shared bathroom down a flight of stairs and flies all over the floor. The walls are so thin. You can hear everything. Barely slept - the people next door talking and moving furniture around. People down the corridor shouting late at night. The property also wouldn’t give me a receipt for the stay - despite requesting one three times.

I found the entrance door and reception a little underwhelming, however the room was very good. Good parking , good WiFi. Clean and tidy room with a small but new, bathroom. For a hotel, close to the centre of Reading, I thought it was good value.

Despite the horrible stay over night with no ventilation and charged for two nights where I couldn't stay even for one night due to noises since there was only a PU partition wall and not a proper room, they have not managed to refund my stay charges. I am claiming it via booking and adding reviews accordingly now further to be followed up with citizens advice bureau n poor customer services. The worst of all was the complaisant response from the guy. They don't even post the pictures of the rooms and show the lake instead since the rooms are the shabbiest.

A cheap pit stop if you have a low budget. Helpful reception staff but the room needs a lot of work doing and parts of it were filthy. The bedding was clean but the mattress dipped in the middle so not comfortable. The TV kept losing signal. The bathroom was down 2 flights of stairs. There was a lot of slamming of doors and the walls were thin so you could hear surrounding conversations late at night. A very dated dark and dreary hotel.

Without a doubt the most disgusting and vile place I have ever set foot in but still trying to figure out what was worse the manager or the hotel, for a start there was someone’s dirty boxers down the side of the bed with used tissues black mould all over the room a window that didn’t close crumbs on the floor and a shower that had as much pressure as someone peeing but according to the absolute muppet of a manger there was no issues and we were being fussy he had set us up on the best rooms in the hotel which was a laughing matter a would not even go in the same vicinity as this abysmal hotel

Absolutely terrible hotel, found someone’s dirty boxers stuffed down the side of the bed, black mould all over the walls and the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. When we asked the manager about this he said this is normal for a hotel. Disgusting place avoid at all costs.
