the second i checked in got a very warm welcome from Safia and Prachi which made me feel very happy and is clear that the staff care about their jobs, even though the staff where polite the food was undercooked on multiple occasions during my stay which had also made vomit, i personally think the managers should be more on top of food quality.

The hotel is not far from Reading Railway Station. There are two small supermarkets just outside the door. You can reach a larger supermarket about ten minutes' walk away. There are many people there all weekend. The hotel is clean and comfortable, has complete facilities, and is relatively quiet! Stay here next time!
Get down to business quickly in Premier Inn Reading Central. Located in the heart of the town centre, you're close to Thames Valley Park, Reading University and Royal Berkshire Hospital. After work, playtime begins. If you're a savvy shopper, head to the Oracle. Or check out the programme of rock, pop, comedy and drama events at the Hexagon. It's all on your doorstep. At the end of the day, return to a warm welcoming hearty meal and super-comfy bed.

Very good British basic three-star rooms below have no slippers. This is a four-star location, but there is no toothbrush and toothpaste. You need to bring your own. There is a computer in the lobby. Breakfast can be printed for free. If you want to eat Chinese food and breakfast, you need to charge another five. You can cross the road to the subway station, but the British subway law and order is very poor. There are a lot of subway thieves. Please don't bring too much cash. You can use the visa card to swipe the card anywhere. Don't worry about carrying a 100 pounds. enough

Good location, five minutes walk from Reading Railway Station. The entrance is a street garden. Opposite is the office building. The room was on the back floor and looked like a new one, but it didn't taste much. The room is large, the bathroom is large, and it is very comfortable. Breakfast is not bad, there are not many options, but it tastes good. There is a parking lot.
Welcome to ibis Reading Centre, an hotel with a modern and vibrant design and perfectly located in the town centre - an excellent choice for both business and leisure guest. ibis Reading Centre offers all the necessities with no fussy frills, from a hearty breakfast buffet to free Wi-Fi, a 24hr snack bar to super comfortable Sweet Beds in every room. The good part: Staff are very friendly although check-in seems to take a little longer than Premier Inn, the reception area and seating to relax looks fantastic and the pizzas that the staff make 24/7 are absolutely delicious. The drink & pizza prices are reasonable. Location wise is spot on, just a two minute walk from the train station and central to everything. They provide more variety of tea & coffee in rooms, such as fruit & herbal teas, and decaff coffee, this totally beats any other budget hotel. Bad points: This is a cashless hotel & this is something i'm firmly against for a variety of reasons they lost £200 in sales due to this from myself & friends. The pillows are rock hard and kept waking up with a sore neck, the beds are also uncomfortable and feels like your sleeping on the floor. The noise from housekeeping is absolutely atrocious all you hear from several floors above and below, are the staff dragging large heavy trollies around and this goes on from 11am to 4pm if you need to sleep during the day forget it. The toilets smell of sewage & urine so sometimes you return back to your room and it stinks. There is also construction work ongoing Monday-Friday until Nov 2022 yet the prices are still very high. The cooling systems seem to work fine for an hour or so but then quickly the room becomes stuffy and warm, due to the location having the window open is very noisy especially at weekends.
Perfectly suited to family or business stays, Novotel Reading Centre sits in the heart of the town. Many of Readings best restaurants, bars, and shops are just a stone throw from the hotel. There is no shortage of things to do in the area, with easy access to Windsor and Oxford, and family attractions like Legoland nearby. From our central location you can enjoy proximity to local transport links including Reading train station, a two-minute walk away. Thames Valley Park is also just a shuttle bus away.

Exceptional customer service from senior management to customer facing staff at reception. Vivek, Catia and Riko… your energy and passion ooze through every interaction and is contagious! Every staff member at every interaction is approachable, a special mention to Nicola and Fariha at reception; very helpful and friendly while well presented and professional. Isabel was incredibly helpful and attentive. It’s the first time I have ever know a conference be truly inclusive for dietary requirements, so thank you. The room was set up exactly as we requested, yea and coffee was readily available as requested and the goodies were delivered right on time! The high end organisation made our away day the best day. Thank you Isabel.

Perfect for me as it’s right across from the office but probably not so great if you wanted to be in the city centre although it’s only an £8 taxi ride or £2 bus ride. Opposite a Beefeater which was handy but I would prefer an on-site bar and restaurant. Felt a bit uncomfortable on check-in to be asked if I was a smoker (I’m not) and if anyone would be joining me later 😳. Didn’t like the bed being made up with sheets, blanket and counter pane as it’s quite uncomfortable particularly on one of the hottest days of the year although the mobile air conditioning unit helped (first time I’ve had sheets and blankets for over 30 years since the day I got married despite extensive business (weekly) and leisure travel (4-6 times a year)). Hotel was very clean and the bathroom was well equipped. A bottle of water would have been a welcome addition to the room particularly in such hot weather. Not sure who to recommend the hotel to as it’s neither a corporate hotel with all the amenities or a home from home. Breakfast was on offer for an additional £15 and I decided to wait until I checked in to see. As I wanted to be in the office for 8am and there was no menu available, times of service or visibility of a dining room, other facilities or even other guests, I decided it may be too intimate and opted for a cold sandwich I had stored in the office fridge ‘just in case’. Was similarly priced to the executive room I had in the Novotel last week which had a full buffet breakfast included.

Excellent
Very welcoming accommodations. Feels like you’re in the wrong place to start (a pub), but once you get in the room it has a nice aesthetic more like an air bnb than a hotel room (in a good way). Food and drink at the bar were great. More casual than your everyday hotel, which I appreciated.
GGuest UserReally helpful staff. Let us securely leave travel case before check-in time. Contacted us early (1PM) to let us have our apartment before the 3PM check-in. Apartment really is home from home! Fully kitted out kitchen. Modern furnishing, decoration and really clean. The apartments really our sound proofed and internally very quiet. Quiet complex and lift or stairs to aid access to apartments. Nice, warm and secure. Reception is hosted and even late at night you have an access code. The lovely lady on reception even said can call her if we could not gain entry! Perfect location - 2 minute walk to Oracle (shops) bars and restaurants. Even Sainsbury's is close so you can cook a meal in the kitchen. We guess the only thing to be aware is the complex is in a vibrant area and externally until 0200/0300 it is noisy so an earlyish night is not easy but this aside, well worth a stay.
GGuest UserAwful location right in centre of Reading where there is absolutely NO PARKING anywhere near the hotel. You cannot even stop just outside to set passengers down or drop luggage as it is entirely surrounded by double RED lines - no stopping at any time. You have to park in a long stay car park at the Railway Station, which is a good 7 or 8 minutes walk away, and carry your luggage to the hotel yourself. Lad who checked us in was so helpful. He not only found me some additional pillows and brought them to the room very quickly, but he also booked a cab for us to our restaurant at the Oracle. On the other hand, the girl on duty this morning obviously could not give a toss when I reported that our air conditioning did not work and our toilet did not flush. As it was the hottest day on record yesterday, we had to try to sleep with a tiny window open to get any air, which of course (in a city centre) was noisy. As for the toilet, the very least I demand of any hotel room is that I get a functioning toilet. I had to take the plastic inner from the waste bin in the bathroom and fill it with water in the sink and then tip it into the toilet to get rid of our waste. Not pleasant. And this was in the £340 a night Rocket suite! Girl on duty's response - ”I will tell maintenance”. Not even a ”sorry to hear that” let alone any offer of compensation by reducing the bill. Awful. Will never stay here again.
We had a really great stay at De Vere Wokefield Estate, Elle & Diaa in reception were so lovely and extremely helpful throughout our stay, Kim & Sarah at breakfast were also so helpful and such friendly chatty people, really made you feel at home and nothing was any trouble to them. A special mention to the night porter (who’s name we unfortunately didn’t get) who kindly gave us a drive over to the mansion house Saturday night on a buggy as our feet were very sore!
7710huwjThe hotel was excellent, in our room was a comfortable King size bed, with good en suite facilities. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful with a good knowledge of the locality. We opted for the full English breakfast, which was supplemental to the room charge, but was well cooked and tasty, and gave a good start to the day. Although about a mile from the city centre, the hotel is only a couple of hundred yards from a bus stop with frequent services to the city centre. There is free off road parking.Thoroughly recommended.
CColin LambertHotel staff was attentive and available all night. Location is ideal for Reading train station just a 5minute walk away. The room was small but adequately equipped and quiet.
Good location, free onsite parking, staff are very friendly and helpful. I met the owner who did his best to accommodate us any way he could. We chose this hotel as it is pet friendly, there is an excellent park and playing fields located just around the corner to exercise your dog. The room was clean and well presented, very similar in size to a standard at a Premiere inn and would have scored 5 had it not been for a few bulbs not working and some other small things, but I would definitely stay here again. I had the cooked full English breakfast option paid after you’ve dined. This was good value for money and extras were available for a small additional cost. So if you’re looking for a good value pet friendly hotel whilst staying in Reading give this a look.
AArunReally nice stay for reasonable rate and really helpful staff. Thank you so much. It was a good experience. Will recommend my family and friends if they need a stay in Reading.
