We called to see if we can check in at 1pm instead of 3pm, because our event started at 2. We were told it was ok because check out is at 11, and they should have rooms ready, and no additional charge. We got there, and they said it was an extra $30 per room to check in early. I told them we called and was told no problem and no extra charge. So he said $20 per room. I had no choice since our event was still 20 minutes away from the hotel. So it cost an extra $40. Next the wash cloth on the sink was dirty. I brought to the night desk guy, who said it looked like someone stepped on it. So he gave us a clean one and an extra towel. Next the toilet paper was almost empty and no extra roll. So I went back, and he gave us a new roll. Then my friend went to take a shower, and he noticed a big clump of dried hair on the shower wall. He comes out to tell me, and notices there are stains on the bed spread, a cigarette burn also, he pulls up his sheets and the appear dirty too. He went to tell the night guy, who came in and took pictures of it all, he said he was going to report it. He clean the shower, gave us new bed linens. The blow dryer did not work either. Stains on the lamps too. The second room the tv would not work. I was told by many Red Roof were nice places. This was not. Don’t think I would use one again.

Here’s a quick summary of my overall feelings on my experience at this hotel. - The staff has zero customer service skills. - My wife and I felt like we weren’t valued as patrons as a result of their lack of customer service. - The hallways smelled like cigarettes and pot. - The room smelled like someone went to town with a bottle of Febreeze. - The overall feel of the place felt sketchy/shady. - The place looked rundown and not cared for. - The bottom of the ice machine, where ice falls if not caught in the bucket, looked like it hadn’t been cleaned… ever - which made me question the ice itself. - The hallway carpets looked rundown. - The walls were dirty - especially next to the bed… 🧐 - It looked like there was a booger left on the wall above our bed 🤮 - There were a few obvious drywall repairs in the bathroom that weren’t painted. - The bathroom vent made a noise but didn’t work. - The do-not-disturb sign was missing. - The shampoo dispenser didn’t work. - While I was outside, I saw a rat scurry along the front wall. 🐀 - There was a flickering bulb in the front of the building.. it seemed like the bulb was warning people to stay away. More detailed information: We paid for the entire stay online; however, the clerk tried to charge me for the entire stay again until I showed him on my phone app that I already paid it. He then said, okay, the charge is $50.00.. I’m like, what’s that for? He said incase you smoke in the room or something. Okay, I gave the deposit. He made a copy of my driver’s license and then drew two x’s with a green highlighter and asked me to sign and provide a license plate, make and model of my car. It wasn’t clear what I was signing so I asked for a copy of the paper. The clerk then gave me the room key and said nothing… no, enjoy your stay or the room is that way.. nothing. I asked, which way to the room? He pointed to his right. From that moment on, I told my wife, staying here was a bad decision. We got to the room, you’ll see my overall summary above. It was noisy at times at night, we had to roll up a towel to put under the door because the gap was so big that the light from the hallway lit up our room. The a/c worked good but it then started making a random tapping noise when the compressor turned on. Upon checkout, I gave the clerk my room key. I asked about the refund, there was housekeeper gentleman standing there, the clerk spoke to the housekeeper in a different language, the housekeeper then left, the clerk stayed silent pretending to be doing something on the computer as he waited to get a call from the housekeeper that the room was okay… by the way, he said nothing to me.. very odd. Then when he got the call, he said, okay, we’ll give you the reimbursement. The clerk issued the reimbursement, and then said nothing.. no, have a good day, thank you for staying with us..nothing! It seemed like he was upset about me asking for my deposit back. Very strange. Do yourself a favor, spend a couple of extra bucks

I want to start by saying that the staff were generally very courteous. My only issue with them was that when we first arrived, we walked past a gentleman outside. After ringing the bell at the reception desk, we stood around for a few minutes until another guest entered the lobby, saw us, and said: "The guy you want is outside." Turns out the person we walked past had watched us walk in with our luggage to check in, and didn't come in until we went back out and asked him to help us directly. The real issues: • The room smelled like pee. • The bathroom fan made all the right sounds, but removed NONE of the steam, so at the end of every shower, every surface was coated with moisture. • The tub drained VERY slowly, so the water was ankle deep when you were done. • The linens (towels, hand towels, washcloths, and bedding) were all far past retirement condition. They smelled clean, but were stained and beige, not their original white. • There were 2 towels, in a double queen bedroom, so we had to request more. • The room door showed clear signs of having been wedged open with a crowbar at some point in the past. Not very reassuring. • The floor was gritty with dirt when we checked in. • There was no "Do Not Disturb" sign to hang on the door. • Housekeeping came into the room while one of our party was still sleeping, despite the fact that we told the front desk to please avoid our room until after the checkout time.

Horrible place. Went there for Adamstown Antiques Extravaganza. It's a party hotel. People drinking and blasting music. Running back/forth to friends rooms. It happened all 3 nights we were there, so it wasn't just for a Prom or Wedding. We called the front desk every night around 3am to get it to stop. They were responsive and would knock on doors and tell them to turn it down. But it seemed like a known thing. Locals are staying there and partying it up.

Didn’t have clean towels….. shower handle was peeling. Smelled strong. The guy at the counter wanted to scan the ID’s of everyone with me…. Not a positive experience.
