We had a pleasant stay in a room good for 4. The amenities were complete, but the air-conditioner was running too cold.

I stayed here couple of days with my family. This hotel did not make up room simply because guest did not request it. They never informed me in advance on check-in whether I had to ask make-up room by noon. Thence, I asked to front desk, new towel and remove gabage in trash can in the room. Lady at front desk (Saterday around 3 pm 24th, Sept. 2022) told me to deliver towels and vinyl bag to room I stayed, and then made me empty garbage can in the vinyl bag. It was unexperienced experience to me around any hotels I have ever stayed.

Overall a good hotel, parking fee seems to be $20 a night. There are many restaurants around to eat. The swimming pool is average. The hygiene is OK, the staff is very friendly.

The room is large, but the towels, bathtub and other equipment are a bit old. Because of the long stay, free water was provided.

The Courtyard by Marriott Redwood City is a good hotel if you need a place to stay in the area. It is located in a safe, but isolated, area near Bair Island Wildlife Refuge which means there are no nearby restaurants or shopping walking distance. The public spaces are spacious, nicely decorated and clean. The room we were assigned (king bed with sofa) was on the small side, but comfortable and clean. Parking is self parking. The hotel is dog friendly ($150 flat fee). Courtyard swimming pool. A small fitness room. The breakfast bar in the lobby Bistro has a limited menu and coffee.

Recently stayed here on a quick business trip. Room was clean and comfortable and well-sized for a single person. All the staff I met were friendly and helpful. I had to hang out in the lobby for awhile on day 2 because I had a late flight and it was comfortable with good wifi and a good snack bar (including beer/wine while the bar wasn't open yet). There's a running path with some pretty views that connects to other trails in the area. Slightly off the beaten path - be prepared to drive or take a rideshare anywhere you need to go. No restaurants close by, but the bar/cafe in the lobby has sandwiches and flatbreads. The BLT and fries I had was excellent.

The worst Courtyard by Marriott I’ve stayed in so far. The room is very basic, there are no amenities except for the body wash, shampoo, conditioner against the wall. In addition to cheap hand soap and 2 plastic cups. The bathroom is a plastic box, not comfortable at all. There is no water in the room, no breakfast included, as a Marriott Bonvoy Gold member I wouldn’t have thought that would be included. The “restaurant” is a cafe/bar with not much real food. The menu consists of a few sandwiches/ burgers for dinner. Extra snacks, microwaveable meals can be found in an area by the lobby. The room is very basic, no water (had to get a bottle from the front desk), there were no toothbrushes, no shower cap, no slippers, no shavers, no cotton buds - I’m used to Courtyard Marriott that have all these items in Asia. I did not think that US would not provide any of these comforts and at a much higher price too! I can’t believe the room rate $300 USD per night! Is there any better quality Marriott hotels for this price in the US? I’m still on the search for it.

improved since our last visit. OK, we have Bair Island relatives , so we stay here. The staff is great. The general place is great. Breakfast is poor. OK, coffee and tea is fine but do not eat the food. They do not get it. Sorry. Grounds are not kept up. We book a north facing room (to view the wetlands) but the windows are filthy. Just not there yet as a hotel.............. .

This hotel is a bit out of the way from the center of Redwood City but has very good amenities. The rooms are clean and spacious. It is odd that housekeeping service is optional and only on offer every other day at most. Another undesirable holdover of the COVID-19 pandemic. Nice pool and gym facilities on site. The Bistro in the lobby area serves Starbucks coffee, nice breakfasts and quick suppers. The pantry by the front desk has a good variety of snacks & refreshments on offer, though the prices are steep. Staff are friendly and helpful

The room that I stayed is very clean and cozy. The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. Flor, the Front desk associate, she definitely knows how to put smiles on guests’ faces! Will stay here again if I come back to San Francisco!

Solid business hotel. Clean and serves the purpose of a good business hotel. Mel at front desk was great! You are not going to find top amenities here, but it was a good/great hotel. Nice selection of drinks/snacks in the Market. Would stay here again. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 of 5 is because some of the walls in the room need paint. Otherwise, room was good. Comfortable bed and nice work area.

My wife and I were charged the "Corporate Rate" for two of our four night stays even though we were there to attend our granddaughter's graduation. When we booked this reservation we were quoted $132/night. The price almost tripled one night and almost doubled a second night. Another example of "Buyer beware". This is especially true of large corporations that only care about profits. We were stunned when our bill was emailed to us after we arrived home. One might presume that when the hotel was asked about "Triple A"/AARP rates that they would figure out we were not representing a company. The "corporate rate" exists because companies pay the bill not individuals. Demand that the initial reservation itemizes all charges and foreseeable rate changes. Sadly, our confirmation reservation email did not provide this information.
Response from Property: Dear Gary W, Thank you for sharing your thoughts about your reservation with us. We sincerely apologize for any confusion that we may had caused with regards to our rates. Our prices are based on the supply and demand within the area and we always ensure that we are priced accordingly based on what the market dictates. Please feel free to call or email us directly so we can further check and assist you regarding this matter. We are looking forward to your response. My wife is a Titanium Bonvoy member and we were excited to stay at this property since we were helping our daughter move apartments and we hoped to find a nice base for future visits. That won't be happening despite the fact that this is quite a new, and reasonably pleasant hotel inside, for reasons I will describe. This hotel is located in what is essentially a commercial area, surrounded by car dealerships and close to highway 101. There is an entry area where one can drop bags and passengers and where is located the reception area. To the left as one looks at the hotel, is the parking garage and one obtains, for a small fee, a card to indicate your guest status at the hotel. However, the garage is in no way secure. Anyone can drive in there and by the looks of some of the cars (two people sitting in the car with hats pulled low over their eyes, no guest cards in most of the cars I could see etc.) it looks as though this is a place people unaffiliated with the hotel hang out. To be fair, we were never accosted or anything, but it can be disturbing when returning at night for reasons that will become clear when I explain the incident below. There is no apparent security there, no cameras that I could see. There are several chargers for EVs. The room we were given was very nice. Interesting layout that differed from the standard rooms one tends to find, large, clean, with a nice sofa and even a small balcony although, unless one enjoys looking across marshland and a Ford dealership, there wasn't much to see from our room. The bathroom was large and the shower excellent. All in all, much to like. I do find the fact that this is a "no housekeeping unless requested" hotel a bit wearing but I guess that is a cost saving/staffing/covid issue we all need to get used to. Gone, it seems, is the option to opt out of cleaning in return for some benefits as a loyalty member. The staff here (with the notable and welcome exception of the bar tender on our first night) seem bored and disinterested. I can put up with that except for the following incident that occurred on or second night of three. My wife and I were awakened, at around 1230am, by an extremely loud ruckus immediately outside our room. Yelling, F-bombs, screaming. It was clear that what was happening was an extremely aggressive police arrest. Someone was being forced to the ground, cuffed, threatened with tazing, and finally marched away. Literally, right outside our room. This sounded like very serious police action. This is, on the fourth floor of a hotel, disconcerting to say the least. I understand that police actions sometimes happen but when we voiced our concern both in online chat, and in person the following morning this was the response: "I wasn't on duty last night so I don't know. I think that some guests were being loud and the police were called". No promise to find out more, to get back to us, and all totally disinterested and bored. We didn't hear any noise close to our roo

I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times since it opened for work and from a location / room standpoint, it’s my second favorite spot near Redwood City (first being the Homewood Suites a mile or two north). While covid has certainly limited things, the lobby is great with tons of space and the staff is always nice. Having the waterfront right outside to walk around is great too. Rooms are decent with typical courtyard Marriott furnishings but the perk of a nice sized couch which is a huge plus to me over a room with just a bed. The place is only a few years old so everything inside tends to work well with plenty of plugs and what not. Marriott Wi-Fi can be a pain to connect to sometimes but speeds are good once there. All that said, a new and very much suburban hotel charging for parking is a huge ugh for me and automatic stars off even if work is picking up the tab — it’s just nickle and dime stuff for a location just about requires a car and is far too new to not have known that.
