Staff are very friendly, welcoming and interacting with them feels personal. The Horizon Duo room is modern and comfortable and the hotel itself is perfectly located to all conveniences and the town center. We appreciated the early check in and daily replacement of drinking water and bath linen. The bar and restaurant provide interesting options. The shower is excellent. Didn't find the hairdryer though the room description mentions availability. I think the staff would have happily provided it if I asked.

This airy, modern, elegant hotel has been operational since October 2022. It is fresh. The rooms are comfortably sized and accessible. The view out of the window is alone worth thousands of dollars. Salazie is beautiful; the scenic route to get here is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The reception is accessible. The rooms were available as promised. The formalities are as usual. English is spoken, and the attitude is warmly humorous. The first dinner was 'problematic' due to a lack of personnel (Easter Holiday). The wait was too long. This was an isolated incident. Questions of taste –we saw some customers return their portions to the kitchen. The chef has an excellent reputation, but he had his day off. Our rooms had no Wi-Fi or Netflix due to a network problem. I used my cellular connection with my laptop. BBC world service is available on TV. The bathtub is murderously slippery. Be careful; the statistics are grim. Safe box +, coffee machine +, water cooker +, hairdryer +. To sum it up: This hotel has a lot going for it: The ambiance is warm, everything is clean, and there is a lot of effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Would I come here again? Yes, I would.

The dilapidated room deserves a good renovation. The soundproofing is very poor, you can hear all the passages in the corridor and the sound of neighbors to the toilet. This kind of service is too expensive. The door of the room can only be closed with a slam, and they cannot be sealed without sealing, which keeps the lights from the corridor to the bedroom all night, because the door and the door frame, the ceiling stain the bathroom, one of the two plastic seats is between the balcony The gap is too large to be broken and remain as it is, it is very dangerous for people who are sitting on the tray without noticing it.On a polite tray, it will be nice ceramic cups instead of non-reusable paper cups, although we can take the first The second drink is in the room.Because of Covid sanitary conditions, there is no diet and the restaurant next door, which still serves as a buffet, is able to open hygiene. The hotel provides breakfast only at the time by doing necessary. Fortunately, it is rich and high quality.Friendly The staff.Beautiful public stall area, one of them is winter.Beautiful garden, etc. The only lack of heating, which means we will not return to this hotel, because it needs to be refurbished and soundproofed.

A good hotel on Reunion Island. Hidden in the encirclement of the flower sea and the towering tree, the white French architecture is elegant and romantic. At check-in, there will be a staff member on duty to take us to the room. Many white two-story buildings are divided into several groups, each with a terrace. Level table and chair appliances, high bed cushions. The bathroom and the washroom are divided into two rooms; the toothbrush and toothpaste need to be provided. In addition, a large bottle of mineral water and a small can of coffee powder can be sent daily for free. You can use the French jug in the room to press out two cups of coffee and drink it on the balcony. In terms of facilities, the hotel is located in the lagoon for swimming and snorkeling. The hotel will do several activities a week, cocktail parties, open-air movies and the like. In short, it is very comfortable. It’s not boring to soak the hotel without going out. recommend.

Really amazing hotel located right across from Saline les Bains. The hotel staff were all super friendly and helpful even we struggled to communicate freely due to our lack of French fluency but some staffs spoke good enough English so it was absolutely not an issue! The rooms were super spacious and comfortable with a nice sit out (we had the garden facing room). Quality of sleep was absolutely amazing due to the very good sound proofing and excellent mattress/pillow. No complaints at all!! The only drawback, if at all, was the lack of eating options within the hotel. However, there’s 3-4 excellent restaurants along the beach and within a 3-4 minute walk. Really highly recommended hotel to stay if you’re visiting Reunion and want to just recharge your batteries!!

AAnilegnaI arrived at the airport & realized the closest place to buy a sim card was near the Carrefour in town (since neither my Hong Kong sim nor my 2 wifi eggs worked here), being the day before Christmas eve the traffic was crazy & even trying to find parking was complete madness, by the time I got to the hotel it was getting dark and being able to grab a nice meal (had the 9 course seafood tasting menu with wine pairing) and then roll off to bed felt so indulgent. So here is the conundrum, you visit Reunion to ogle the prehistoric landscapes and lush foliage, hike, take helicopter tours of the jurassic mountains, but once at the Margouillat, you just don’t want to leave. For those that want adventures and luxury.... this place is the place to be. Being in or near the water is what it’s all about, the pool was never crowded, the view of the incredible coastline stunning all times of the day. After each meal, it was nice knowing it was literally just one flight of steps back to the room, or just pass out under the frangipani tree. It was an impeccable stay except for dinner my third and last night (12/25) when they were obviously understaffed, I sat down at 730 pm, waited until 8 pm before they took my order, @ 830 pm my amuse bouche arrived, @ 9 pm since my appetizer still did not made its appearance, I decided to leave, especially since guests that arrived after me were served their main course already & I had an early flight to catch. Otherwise, would have rated this a 5.
GGuest UserWe stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. Overall, we 've stayed several times in 4 star hotels at other locations, the level at Réunion seems to be lower anyhow. Compared to other hotels in la Réunion, Palm Hotel seemed to be the better one: better maintained, more stylish, more service from the staff. We received an upgrade to a junior suite, which was a really pleasant surprise as it came with a hottub outside, an extra room/bed and an outside shower. Definitely, this contributed to the positive overall experience. The hotel is beautifully located, although no direct access to the beach below. For the brave, there is an adventurous path downhill (and back up again afterwards) which I did two times. Not to try if you have no proper shoes nor long pants! But if you do this, you can continue to hike up to the ”cap” which delivers magnificent views and I definitely recommend. When we booked this hotel, a shuttle service was posted, although i didnt see it. Staying here we opted for the half board, which we wouldnt do again if we would have known. Personally, we dont have to fine dine ”french cuisine” every day, we would have rather opted for a light salad or something. This was our main challenge at this hotel: lunch as well as dinner offered very few ”light” options, basically there were almost no salads or a light pasta on neither menus. The only option for lunch or light dinner that remained were the tapas (they were very good!). We missed truly, during our entire trip at Reunion, ”light” dishes with vegetables. So my recommendation would be Palm hotel to think about offering for lunch and dinner some international, ”summery” dishes also, for those not interested in duck, foie gras, fish or beef on a daily basis. Dont misunderstand me, the food was good, it was just too heavy for our way of living.
BBen1275We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights on holiday. The hotel is listed as a 3-star hotel, but many facilities (safe, fridge, magnifying mirror, Nespresso machine, two pools, two restaurants, etc.) are more characteristic of 4-star hotels. The same is true for breakfast, which was generous and good. The hotel is located at the outskirts of St. Leu, on a hill that is overlooking a very nice view of the sea, whales included. We had a car and therefore could travel easily, recommended at this location. Ample parking, also near our room which was relatively far from the reception. A lovely garden and pleasant common areas. Our room (Guétali) was large and comfortable, and housekeeping was good. Good beds. The bathroom was large, though it suffered from a shallow sink in which the tap was located too much to the back, something that caused constant water spillage. Service was excellent everywhere throughout our stay, with special thanks to the reception and restaurant staff. We tried to drive to St. Leu for dinner, but a traffic jam and total lack of parking led us to abandon this idea after one try. We consequently ate at the hotel’s Kotémer restaurant (see separate review). A concert of Creole music and dance on one of the evenings was very enjoyable. The most evident weakness of this hotel is the (lack of) wi-fi. While this worked reasonably well at the reception and the restaurants, we had zero reception at our room, on laptop, tablet, and phones. I use a laptop for both work and entertainment, and therefore had to sit at the reception whenever I needed the internet. The phones could be used at the room using mobile data, but this consumed a considerable amount of our monthly allocation. Overall, a very positive experience if one accepts the internet limitation, recommended while staying on Reunion Island.
MMDAVery warm welcome, we were treated to a little refreshment (juice and fruit) in the reception hall when we arrived.
It may seem trivial but it's always fun. Thank you and well done.
