The service is very good. The location of the hotel is very convenient. You can take the bus from the airport to the terminal and walk directly there. No problem. We are a very good hotel in summer. When you get to the bus terminal, you don’t have to enter the reception hall. Just go through the flowers and grass on the path. Of course, you can take your luggage with you. Don't press on the flowers and plants. Just a reminder. When you see a pedestrian road, cross the highway. Go directly. Don't go on the overpass. If you keep walking across it, you can see the youth hostel. It is right next to the University of Iceland sign. Handsome guy serves. The staff was great and they let us check in in advance. The female manager was also very nice. There is a very beautiful lobby and a large kitchen and restaurant in the building where we live. We were very happy living there and often cooked our own meals. Friends from all over the world are very good. Except for a young ********* couple, I remind all Chinese people to be smart when going out. Prices in Iceland are very expensive, but when you go to other people’s restaurants, you must not order a drink for only a few people. , or a meal, if you think it’s too expensive or just want to check in, just send one person in. Don’t let the Chinese face fall in when you go out. Many ********* Internet celebrities let people bring rice and doll noodles. In fact, the Icelandic pig Supermarkets have everything and are not too expensive. Iceland is a region with a shortage of supplies. Due to geographical reasons, they don’t have much time to do business, so everyone takes up other people’s resources in the summer, but only a few people can consume one meal. It’s a bit Excessive. I also participated in a one-day tour and felt that the tour guide was very professional. Please also tip the driver and tour guide, about 10 US dollars. It is not a matter of money, it is an affirmation of their professionalism. Others will be very happy, but this time When I tipped the tour guide in Iceland, he was very surprised. He said he had never seen a Chinese tip him. I said no, we Hong Kong people always tip when we see good service. Maybe young Chinese nowadays, I no longer have the heart to appreciate others' services. The tour guides in Iceland are very professional. Some of them are university teachers. They promote Iceland in the summer, so they come out to lead tours. But as he said, except for some Westerners and us, there was no one in the car. A few mainland girls paid extra tips, and the tour guide stopped at the small church where they checked in and took special care of them along the way. So if you go to other countries, you feel that the people there don't look good on you. Examine yourself, just like us Hong Kongers and ********* people who laugh at mainland tourists who go to Hong Kong and Taiwan to bring their own instant noodles instead of buying them. The situation is the same. In Hong Kong and Taiwan, consumption is expensive, and mainland tourists think it is not worth it. If you laugh at others, go to Iceland and bring your own instant noodles. Rice noodles instant noodles, then you have no right to laugh at the mainland customers

It is very convenient to various attractions in the city, cost-effective, and you can do laundry and cooking.

I stayed in a room with an attached bathroom. The space was not large, but the public space had a large kitchen with fully equipped kitchenware and tableware, as well as laundry facilities. This hotel is a bit far from the city. There are no shops or restaurants around, so shopping and dining are inconvenient, but it is relatively quiet. It is next to Toning Lake. It is very comfortable to go for a walk by the lake in the morning.

The apartment is right next to the University of Iceland. It is the best international youth hostel I have ever stayed in. Transportation is convenient. It's also convenient to go to the city center. There is no WIFI in the room. You have to go to the reception desk in the lobby to use WIFI for free. There is only one trash can in the room. If the trash is full, you have to ask the front desk for help. The service is very good. They are all young people and easy to communicate with. If you are going to travel to Iceland for a week, it is recommended to book it all at once, as it will be troublesome to change hotels midway. There is a rod for drying clothes in the room, which is convenient. After booking, please pay attention to whether it has a private bathroom and toilet. Private bathroom and bathing are not the same concept here. I was misled when I made the reservation. It is recommended to bring a private bathroom when staying.

This is a student dormitory, one of its blocks is renovated, the other one is pure basic, and if you r with your backpack and in need of sleepover, it is good enough. The renovated hostel block features elegantly designed rooms, but still - very little space, great kitchen and communal spaces though. Location is average -15 min to the centre, but some 20 min walk to proper bars, restaurants and nightlife. On the other hand, some beautiful Reykjavik ponds with plenty of birds r located just next to it and I enjoyed walking around them a lot. Some 20min walk to the bus station that takes you to the airport, the same distance to the main church of Rejkjavik. Communal spaces are quite cool and comfy, shared showers r not convenient for changing clothes, but clean. Overall, I recommend it for short stayovers, but i ve stayed in better guest houses in Rejkjavik for almost the same money and more central - check some option closer to main harbour or the main church.

Fair enough room. Good bed but al lot of noise from the kitchen (peopme didn’t respect the sign that told that the kitchen was just for some of the rooms). Could have needed more staff that looked better after the kitchens, it was piled up with pans and plates at the countrr ehen guests did their dishes and then left them on the counter

Great hostel. My wife and I stayed for a night - we got a double room and private bath. Fully modern with a large kitchen and common area. Would stay here again for sure. Parking was easy, and the campus is only a 10-15 minute walk from “Old Reykjavik.”

Terrible customer service, and if I could I would give less than 1 Star. Seemingly trying to help, but without results. After the sheets were not changed when checkin, we offered to change them ourselves. With hesitation we received sheets to change it ourselves. Then we noticed the bathroom was also dirty upon checkin. They "cleaned" it, only for us to find out when we came back later that day that dirt had been pushed under the shower curtain. Promised compensation for the inconveniences of complaining 3 (!) Times has not been made, emails that we were told to send were never answered, and to this day we are waiting for a statement why this has happened. If you want to stay somewhere that offers basic amenities and clean rooms, turn around and look elsewhere. Good customer service is foreign to this establishment.

Don't be fooled by the nice pictures. The "Deluxe Twin Room with Private Bathroom" is definitely not "deluxe". While the room itself was large, the interior design is more "prison" than "deluxe". The bathroom still had hair in it from previous guests an the linen had lint or little dust balls on it. And as an autistic person I asked weeks before my trip, that it's very important for me, to have as quiet a room as possible. Mine was literally one of the most exposed rooms towards the highway right in front of the hostel.

Stayed for 1 night. when we got to the room, we noticed the beds were covered in different hairs and the bathroom was poorly cleaned. There was hair all over the floor, toothpaste in the sink, fecal matter in the toilet and fingernails on the floor. We asked them to change the bed and clean the bathroom again. They did, but even after that it looked just as bad, we took a piece of paper and wiped a small spot on the floor of the bathroom, and it got covered in hair and dirt. The photos in the review is AFTER they tried cleaning the room for a second time. After this we have tried reaching out to them via email, but they have failed to respond. The location is the only thing this place has going for it. Steer clear if you want a clean room.

We liked this hostel and while the cost was more than we pay for hotels in most countries, it was a huge bargain in Iceland. Also, having access to the kitchen, lounge, and laundry was a big budget saver. Only reason it doesn't get five stars (hostel rating - mind you, this isn't a resort or luxury hotel) is that our transfer from the airport didn't pick up or drop off here - which is kind of a bummer when you are traveling with a 10 year old and baggage. Staff didn't have any helpful suggestions and simply pointed us towards the bus station 3/4 of a mile away.
