The price is cheap, and the location is good. Other than that, you couldn't expect more. There is no shampoo and body wash in the private toilet. There is no lift as well so you have to carry all your luggage up to the 2nd, 3rd or 4th floor.

I did not receive the check-in information before check-in, so I contacted the host through Facebook messenger when I arrived at the hotel door. The rooms are on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th floors and there is no lift. It is very inconvenient if you have a large suitcase.

The location of the room is very good, just near the cathedral, and it only takes a few minutes to walk to the city center. The cleanliness of the room is OK, the radiator is very warm, and it can continue to heat after turning it on

The location is very good, the room and the communal kitchen are clean, but the tap water has a slight smell.

Great place in the outskirts of Reykjavik. Walkable to Hallgrimskirkja and town. Parking available in front and good WiFi cover. We had the room on the top floor which was new and spacious though facing other apartments in the courtyard. Comfortable beds with attached bath and a fully equipped shared kitchen. Easy access in/out and quiet. Bonus supermarket just behind the building. Very well maintained and clean.

A bit hard to find, the little hotel is tucked away on a dead-end street. Once we got into our room we were comfortable and could rest. It was raining outside and we were wet, but we dried off and took a nap in the good quality mattresses and bedding. The bathroom was roomy and clean. The price was good. Our room was on the second floor and being older, getting our luggage up the stairs presented a small inconvenience but over all our visit was a positive one. We recommend this hotel for travelers on a budget.

Perfect for a budget hotel. It was self check-in and so we didn't have to speak to anyone, which was pretty good for introverts like me and my other half. It's pretty basic but had everything we needed for a base of operations.

This place was great. I loved the self check-in and check-out. It offered a hassle free and quick arrival and departure. We didn't see many employees or other guests as we were out early in the morning and back late in the evening, but the ones we did meet were very kind and helpful. The rooms and bathrooms were super clean and warm. We never got cold at night, and while the bathrooms were tiled, the floor was heated. I don't have any complaints about the property, except the fact that the rooms were only cleaned after you checked out. By the end of our five day stay, our bin was overflowing. Overall it's a great place to stay, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking to visit Iceland on a budget.

I found Pavi Guest House to be fine . I spent two nights in a private room there in October 2021. The manager was very friendly and she helped me upload and print my Covid test certificate on my phone, which I had trouble with. The shared kitchen, bathroom and shower were clean. It was quiet, except for two knocks on my wall in the middle of the night. The parking was limited due to blocked off parking at a construction site nearby. There was no elevator and I was on the 4th floor , so I got a little exercise. The locked outside door was secure. I felt safe there. Overall, Pavi was a good experience and a good deal for expensive Reykjavík.

The pros: - the location close to the city center, you can do everything on foot - the free parking around the hotel - the kitchen to cook yourself The cons: - the size of the kitchen - the lack of response from accommodation to questions asked by messaging before arrival - the guesthouse deserves a refresh

Never again. We stayed 10 days in this hotel and the room was never cleaned, always the same towels, every time we ran out of soap we had to ask for it ourselves. Self-service toilet paper in the corridors. Inconvenient to services as it is not really close to the center. Staff were sometimes rude, on the last day they kicked us out of the room because they had to clean it and made us stay with our luggage in a room used for cleaning. Fourth floor on foot without lift, without reception. Next to the hotel there is a construction site with bricklayers hammering from morning to night. Furthermore, the price is not that cheap. Total disappointment. The only positive note is the heating of the rooms, adjustable as desired and very hot if desired.

Only the location makes this place recommendable. Clean (not always), you have to pay a (famous) supplement for a private bathroom... Not the best, but not mediocre either. I wouldn't recommend it to people over 50, but not bad for young people who want a cheap place to stay close to everything.
