Labranda Blue Bay Resort

Hi, went there last week for 7 days and I’m so glad that I have chosen this hotel, food delicious especially Greek ala carte restaurant, rooms ok, clear and beautiful view for the sea. LOVE THE ANIMATIONs team - full of energy people, different games and activities

it is an amazing hotel! delicious food, clean, comfortable and beautiful rooms. also, incredible shows for kids every night! the team making them is amazing. one of the best hotels i have ever been to. I definitely recommend and will come back for sure!!

We decided to do the all inclusive day pass here as we wanted to use the water park for our last day (we were staying at matoula beach next door) beautiful hotel! Make sure you book that and not this hell hole. The labranda was absolutely DISGUSTING. We are not fussy people, often do little family run 2 or 3 star hotels and are realistic in the fact you get what you pay for. If I had booked this I would be absolutely FUMING. We had full use of water park which to be fair was ok.. toilets were absolutely disgusting and not cleaned once from 10am to 6pm though... Food was diabolical. We were told we could eat at the pizza and gyros.. well I think the gyros meat may have come out of a cat food pouch GRIM. Chips were cold and hard and just awful. Pitta bread was the only edible thing. And the pizza was like cardboard, drink stands all filthy and I had bugs in my water, lunch was awful, nothing fresh. The hot food was cold and cold food was warm (including desserts) dinner was the same , staff miserable apart from those at the front desk who were actually really pleasant. But all in all, this is a s**t hole. Needs a serious overturn, I feel so sorry to those who have actually booked to stay here !! Have a look at matoula beach next door I urge you , it's incredible, clean and have delicious food

Avoid. On night 9 of a ten day holiday and honestly can’t wait to get home. The food is pretty grim. Drinks are u drinkable. I mean when for 15 minutes every time and even the soft drinks are disgusting. Can see it was a nice place in its day but most things are either closed down or should be. Been trying for the last five days to even get change to play the air hockey etc and you just get shunted away. All inclusive but you have your hand in your pocket all day with the pushy night staff and the ice cream/popcorn/ice lollies etc nothing is free. Could be decent but be prepared to pay out your own pocket to get edible food.

You can tell this was once a Lovley hotel especially from the videos they portray in the foyer entrance and it is still nice in terms of you know it’s 4* however I would say this hotel is a 3* at best I have seen some really mixed reviews and there’s a bit of truth in both. Would I come here again no, would I recommend yes but with the honesty below. This hotel is a cheap and cheerful hotel. I would not go all inclusive as the food and drinks are not worth it. The beach is Lovley and I’ve seen reviews about noisy kids and being under the flight path. It didn’t bother us personally with the plans there over within in 10 seconds and it’s quite fascinating to watch them bank into the island. The noise of children, unless you’re going to an adults only it’s to be expected. The hotel definelty needs some tlc the rooms could do with a drying rack for clothes or something. The sun lounges both on the beach and around the pools have had there day, some have bolts sticking out and some are literally falling apart at the seams. A few were snapped so unusable. The same for the parasols some were quite dangerous and falling apart. There was a maintenance guy checking them and making small repairs to a few but unfortunately these required more than tape. Staff: The reception staff are very welcoming and upon arrival if you’re on a late flight you are greeted with sandwiches. However some staff in the dining halls can be rude and miserable. The cleaners were nice and would always say morning, other than at breakfast/lunch and dinner times you don’t really see any staff around. You are taken to your room with a brief overview of where things are. The rooms them selves are standard and comfortable. I had read some horror stories but the room was fine for what we needed, plenty storage space and we were x3 adults. Water was provided everyday in the fridge , there’s one channel on the tv that’s in English and we also managed to find the euros which was great due the time difference and late kick offs. Bathroom is clean and functional, showers amazing. Beds were comfortable even the single pull out was fine. Food & Drink: This was very average and repetitive. I wouldn’t say it was absolutely terrible but it could do with some work. The worst part about meal times is there’s a que outside the door every evening, once you get in your allocated a Table. There is no water for the table. You then have to que again at the bar for a drink. So what should be quite a nice straight forward thing becomes very long. There were times throughout the week when you would have to wait for plates or cutlery. There was also an evening where we had qued to get in and qued for drinks we put our drink at our table to go and get food when we returned our full drinks had been taken . The all inclusive drinks are cheap and watered down. The ice cream you have to pay for if you want any other than dinner time. The bars throughout the day are full of ques as only one server on

Stayed for 10 nights with my family (3 adults and a 17 year old) Booked a family room and a double room with sea view. Positives: - Staff was friendly throughout, reception was really helpful in organising taxi’s and advice on buses to Rhodes. All staff seem to work really hard! - Main pool area was nice, also had various other pools situated around the grounds. Waterpark was fine, 5 large slides and an area for smaller children. - Food was varied and enjoyed the majority of it. The roasted lamb was delicious! - Although we didn’t get involved with the entertainment, the staff was always enthusiastic, happy to talk to you and had a laugh with you at times - perfect if you have little ones. - The grounds are lovely and are kept really well. - Close to the airport and easily got a taxi from outside the airport. Negatives - Huge cues in the evening, we ended up getting 2 drinks at a time. In my opinion they needed more staff on considering the size of the hotel and the amount of visitors it had. Drinks were average. - Never been to a resort either where ice creams and slushes were charged as an extra (just to point out you can get ice cream at meal times) - A few times we had housekeeping just walk in even though we put the ‘do not disturb’ sign on the door. - There was several times when cues were so long out the door for your evening meal, again maybe this needs addressing for such a large hotel. - The rooms could do with being updated and cleaned properly (DONT LOOK UNDER THE BED) Other things to mention: There was quite a few cats around although it didn’t bother me, I can see this may bother others. We had a couple of good nights at Billy’s Bar which is just a short walk from the hotel, we took a taxi twice into the main area of lalysos where we ate/drank at Trinity Bar and Alkionis Sports Bar. We also took a bus in Old Rhodes Town, where we booked a boat trip for later in the week. Overall we had a lovely holiday with our extended family who we’ve not seen for a while, weather was gorgeous however we would not return, there wasn’t enough around outside the hotel for us but that’s personal preference.
