I have just returned from another great week at this lovely hotel. All the staff put so much effort into making my holiday so memorable. As a returning guest, it's so nice to be so warmly by all the team. The food is a 10. Breakfast is excellent. Fresh fruit Greek yoghurt with honey was my daily ritual. The eggs bar has a delicious variety of fresh omelettes, and the homemade pancakes a big favourite 😍 Well done Chef! Dinner each night was varied and plentiful. I really loved the Greek salads and the fish main courses. The menu provides excellent healthy eating choices for me. Desserts were also delicious. Thank you particularly to Fotis and Giorgos for your attentive service at breakfast and dinner. I also want to praise Julia, Laoura, and Kostas at the pool restaurant. Always smiling and providing exemplar service. I really love this hotel, it is great for a solo traveller. It's in a beautiful part of the south of Rhodes, and I can honestly say it is my happy place. Its peaceful location really allows the battery to be recharged. I had a particularly nice bedroom overlooking the pool that had the sun all evening until sunset. Thank you very much to the housekeeping team. My room was spotless every day! I also want to thank Reception, particularly Despoinsa, for being so helpful. The hotel is also only 5 mins walk to Kiotari's beach. Evening entertainment at the poolside was varied and of a high standard.I give the hotel and itz staff 10 out 10 I will definitely return. See you soon!😎

Dimitri and Janis were fantastic hosts at the wine tasting event. They combined professionalism with humor, ensuring that everyone felt comfortable and had a great time. Throughout the session, they encouraged lively interaction, making sure we connected with each other. The wines they selected were exceptional, thoughtfully paired with delicious snacks that enhanced the tasting experience. Their knowledge of the wines and engaging presentation style made it both educational and enjoyable. It was clear that a lot of care went into planning every detail of the event, creating a perfect balance of fun and learning.

We have just returned from an enjoyable 14- days at the splendid Port Royal. Our large suite with sea view on the 1st floor (2508) was well furnished, comfortable and initially, we had everything we needed, including a fabulous view!  Regarding the restaurant, The selection, preparation, presentation and food quality at both breakfast and dinner was excellent. Top marks to the chefs and all involved!  We really enjoyed the music played by the pianist at dinner ...  an added bonus! While the majority of hotel personnel were courteous and efficient, our special thanks to Savvas at Reception, Yannis, who helped with our luggage. In the restaurant, Flora, Koula, Anthoula and the sweet, smiling Georgia!  Also Theo who makes the best ever omelets!  It's evident that the hotel's positive reviews are mainly due to their dedication and professionalism. This review is marked as ”very good” and definitely would deserve ”excellent” had there not been a few negative issues. One concerned the inconsistency with housekeeping. The first three or four days were fine. We had everything we needed. Unfortunately for the remaining 10 days, bathroom items were not changed, replenished, or they were simply missing ... we resorted to taking bets before  entering the room as to ”what will it be today?” No toilet paper, bath mat, shower gel, face cloths, towels, even the bin having not been emptied. Very frustrating. Thankfully, Savvas at reception was prompt on having the missing items replaced. The clever design and layout of the hotel is stunning,  water features, lots of greenery and very comfortable sun loungers on which to relax and enjoy the peace and quite .... sometimes! Personally, the loud disco-type music around the main pool was not to our liking - we always frequented the smaller pool but couldn't get away from the noise!  This worsened during our last couple of days when a very large, boisterous group practically took over all areas of the hotel. Despite these set-backs we did enjoy our stay and miss the blue skies, sea,  sunshine, and smiles!

I very much enjoyed my 7-night stay at Pylea Beach. I stayed in room 311 (the top floor, two floors above ground). The hotel offered virtually everything I needed, as a solo traveller. The bed was comfortable, with clean, fresh linen. There was plenty of space, with adequate storage and a large desk/dressing table plus two bedside cabinets. The air conditioning was excellent, super efficient and easy to operate (and a must in temperatures of close to 40°c). There was a full size refrigerator, with small freezer compartment. This was a welcomed addition! There was a key-operated safe, which I rented for €21 for the week, which I was happy to do. The bathroom had all I needed. Plenty of surface space for toiletries. A very effective shower, with great pressure. Towels were changed every other day (I was happy to reuse). The balcony area was pleasant, not huge but plenty big enough for two fair size chairs and round table. This room got the sun in the morning. There were full size, lockable shutters over the balcony doors, which really helped keep the heat out during the day, along with the curtains inside. WiFi was free and pretty effective. The breakfast was served 7am-10am. There was a fair selection of cereals, hot items, continental breakfast items, fruits and breads, along with juices, tea and coffee. The breakfast area was super chilled out, a very relaxing start to the day. I really enjoyed the food I ate there, each morning. The pool and lawn area were a great size, with plenty of loungers and parasols, set amongst really pretty and well maintained gardens. The Pylea Beach is situated a stone's throw from the beach, which was so convenient. They offer free loungers and parasols to guests there too. There were plenty available. I did notice a beach bar, but didn't use it. It seemed to offer a decent selection of beverages and some ice creams. I loved this hotel as my base in Ialyssos. It's a fairly quiet resort, so ideal for a very relaxed time. Reception staff were helpful. Cleaners were lovely, they did a great job and were unobtrusive. They didn't come in particularly early (after 11am). Right next door to the Labranda Blue Bay Resort, which is a lively, family resort. Personally, this didn't bother me in the slightest. There's a mini market within a few minutes walk, which was handy. Bottles of drinking water on sale in the hotel reception, which was very useful. Only very minor downside, there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. I'd packed my own travel kettle and tea bags, which solved that issue for me! I'd absolutely recommend Pylea Beach, particularly to couples and solos.

A lovely hotel with very friendly staff - as you'd expect for a 2 star it isn't the best place in Greece but it's perfect for those who expect to be out and about constantly. We used it as a place to sleep and have a few dirnks whilst getting ready and it was great: the staff couldn't have been more helpful giving us a key fob so we could come in late at night, offering us free drinks and booking us taxis

So me and my brother flew in from England and stayed the week here, I booked before I looked at reviews then when I saw them i obviously panicked and thought it was gonna be a sh*T show, thankfully it was way better than expected. Firstly the location is great, 10 min walk from old town and the bus station where it costs €5 to go to lindos etc, sea a minute away, plenty of shops and restaurants around. The staff are very friendly and no extra fees were pushed on us, the room was clean, sure a bit of peeled paint was on the walls (not shocked due to humidity of Rhodes) but it was clean and nice. The room was cleaned 4 times in our 7 night stay and we enjoyed our visit, will definitely be staying again. I think some people pay for 2* and expect 5* lmao. For a 2* hotel it was way better than expected.

Booked for a party of six at this hotel. On arrival at the hotel two of us were given rooms in an annex three minutes walk away. Another of our party had only one night in the actual hotel and then also had to move to the annex. The hotel is well situated but the Annex is close to the nightclub area and the noise from this necessitated me keeping the door to the balcony closed and the Aircon on. The rooms were pleasant enough, although the tea and coffee was not replenished after the first day. Breakfast was okay but the hot food was lukewarm. If I was to stay there again (unlikely) I would insist on staying in the actual hotel.

Very nice hotel close to the center of Rhodes Town and the beach. Lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Spacious clean rooms with a balcony. Daily change of towels. Great, helpful and always smiling staff at the reception. I would highly recommend it

So the reviews are true. This place is dated. Don’t be fooled by the beautiful pictures of the pools at night. It really is early 90s at best. See past the doric columns in the bathrooms, heavily glossed dark varnished doors, saloon style frosted glass strung from brass and fake grecian freezes the Mitsis product does not disappoint. The room was large with 3 full-size beds for our family (no sharing a sofa bed here) The a la carte restaurants by the pool coupled eith the book only italian and asian meant we never had to eat in the buffet for an evening meal. The cocktails were generous and service fabulous. Second to none was the kids club. Our kids got welcome gifts on arrival, treats throughout the stay and a goodbye gift from the kids team. It’s the first time my kids have actually asked to go to kids club and the team were amazing with them. The hotel is 10 min from the port where there are lots of water activities on offer and 15 minutes from the old town. Didn’t feel trapped in a resort as plenty to do locally. I would definitely see past the dated reviews and fully recommend the Mitsis Grand. I’ll also definitely try out some of their other hotels. 2// a fabulous family holiday.
