Did a 2 night stay after staying at Lyon Marriott next door. If I had to do my trip all over again- I would never have booked this hotel. There should be a minus feature in reviews- that's how bad this experience has been. Requested early check in which was accommodated, specifically asked for fridge in room. Go upstairs to room, open the door and it smells stuffy and of mildew and over perfume. AC is barely working and cannot be adjusted. No fridge. Go back downstairs. Ask to switch rooms to have a fridge. Request accommodated- apparently upgrade required to have a fridge. Go in new room. No difference from other room except no mildew or smells and has a balcony. As it was in the middle of a heatwave- no benefit to balcony as very hot and humid. Still same AC problem as barely any air coming out. Room was sweltering hot entire stay. Do not advertise you have AC when it doesn't work. I go out for the day, come back after housekeeping has been in room. 2 mins later realize that someone has gone through my belongings and some of my stuff is missing. No big items, but stuff they may have thought I would have not noticed that is missed. Call desk. I was polite and I described 2 items missing and asked if it can be checked if they were found. 30 mins later I get a knock on my door. Person hands me one of the items, says a quick Voila and leaves. The most expensive item is not returned. I decide to cancel my evening plans and not leave as I no longer trust my belongings at this hotel. I go to check out the day after and the person who knocked on my door was the housekeeper on the floor- I know what you did and I know that you took something that wasn't yours. Nothing was done to remedy this and I have lost all confidence in this brand. Stay at the Marriot down the street and avoid this place.
