The hotel facilities are average and the location is not bad. At 200 dollars per night, the price/performance ratio is very poor. This time I encountered a boiler failure, no hot water and no breakfast. What I'm quite satisfied with is that the hotel refunded the full amount, which is kind of a courtesy.

What a great hotel. Not just a great city location, but every step was quick and simple. I found a competent and spirited team of workers that were helpful at every turn. There were always guests around the bar for happy hour. The fitness center is big and something you’d expect to find at a big convention hotel. Will be back!

After rushing for one night, it is difficult to give a sufficient and reasonable evaluation. The location of the hotel is in the city, there are still a lot of places to eat around, there are not many places to visit. The hotel itself is ok.

My coworker and I stayed here for a work meeting earlier this week. Let me start by saying that the staff was wonderful. This review is nothing against them, but clearly whoever is managing this hotel is not actually managing it. This is hands down the worst-run Hilton property I have ever stayed at, and as a Diamond member, you can rest assured I've stayed at many. 1. I had a Fedex package sent to the hotel and arrive 5 days before staying here. This package contained important items for my work meeting that I could not fit in my suitcase. I had confirmation from Fedex that it had been delivered, yet no one could find it. I asked the post office downstairs, and the Hampton Inn next door if the package may have been delivered there by mistake. Nothing. No one could find it. 2. I went back 3 times to the front desk to get new room keys because they did not work. 3. My coworker found ***** hair in her toilet upon arrival. I am attaching that photo to this review. 4. The gym was poorly maintained. The leg press machine was completely out of order without any signage to indicate that. Another patron (who happened to be a mechanic) was able to semi get it to work again. 5. They might as well not serve breakfast at all if it's going to be that abysmal. At least the oatmeal was edible. 6. My coworker lost power in her room twice while she was trying to prepare for our meeting. 7. There was a weird and unsettling whistling noise coming out of the heating vents throughout the night. Again, staff was lovely, and at least the beds were clean/comfortable, but this place is not being funded or looked after properly by Hilton. Do not stay here if you can avoid it.

We visit last night, check in was pleasant enough and the rooms were clean. The beds were very uncomfortable and a disappointment for a Marriott brand hotel. We had breakfast at the bistro & they only had one person working & they filled a complicated coffee order before before they made our food. They then forgot part of the order that was for our 4 year old so the adults had their food but she had to wait longer. The food at the bistro was microwaved & wasn’t worth it. On top of it, the website states that pets aren’t welcome yet we saw several people with dogs and we are highly allergic. We won’t be going back and I am a Marriott Member.

The feel of the property is welcoming from the time one enters the lot. Nestled away from the busy Midlothian Turnpike traffic, one would hardly believe there’s a bustling metropolis beyond the trees! The staff was attentive and the attentions to COVID-19 guidelines was so on point. The room was meticulously cleaned. The noon check out was a godsend.
I will be back!

The entire hotel is very old, worn and unkept. From the grounds, lobby and room, not just old and worn but clearly not maintained. Room 407 had peeling wall paper, chipped and scratched furniture, moldy air conditioner. The microwave was from the 90's. The thermostat did not work. The bathroom, just a shower was more recent. I was not told it was just a shower, I would have asked for a different room. The room had a stale and moldy smell. I had to use my trusty lavender spray. This may have been a 3 Star hotel 25 years. I read a response from the hotel to such comments that upgrades were done in April, maybe April in 2025. I am a platinum elite life member, my profile from day 1, states foam pillows only as allergic. But I had all feather pillows in my room. I had them replaced but too late, was sneezing and scratching all night. Do not recommend this hotel.

Excellent
We stayed here for almost a week. The service and staff were terrific. The morning breakfast was delicious. The pool and exercise area was clean and inviting. The room cleaning was done well and made it a pleasure to come ”home” each night. Thank you!
Tthe_elms+ Good, clean bed + Staff were pleasant +Interior/Exterior Lighting, quiet location +Grounds were nice - but a lot of litter and debris needed to be picked up +Kristen, head housekeeping, was responsive, even doing some of the work other staff should be doing - Spartan appointments - Poor routine maintenance of fixtures - Fridge squealed all night - Lobby Coffee machine broken the whole time. * (This was actually our lasting memory of the place as we checked out. We understand things break, but problem was the hotel had no backup dispensers of any kind.) They should have rented a commercial unit or acquired hot coffee dispensers the very same day it broke! How long has the ”Out of Order” sign been up now?? -In room coffee packets as bad as we've ever encountered (sorry) - The hotel does not offer recycling facilties to guests - The hotel does not practice or train employees to do any recycling-- this is below IHG's own standards - Kit. Sink was clogged - Sink disposer wouldn't turn on - Room sofa and lounge chair well past replacement age. Heavily sunken in and not clean. -All of the laundry machines had very long-term prior use residue built up in them, some had prior-guest debris-- one washer to the point it couldn't drain. So clothes were left pickling in dirtier water than when we put them in. -Considering the number of appliance internal maintenance issues we kept encountering, we didn't feel comfortable drinking from the lobby ice maker or water machines. -Part-time staff (no name given) didn't notate our extended checkout. Unaware of IHG member status. Didn't bother to pull up the room in the computer. Just as if we never made the request. -Other staff couldn't answer basic questions such as about the room charges we didn't recognize - Besides being undertrained compared to other IHG properties, most staff didn't wear name tag or provide their name on the phone. No accountability for ineptitude or needed training. Summary: Not well managed. Overall showed a lot of maintenance deficiencies and staff training issues. More than other properties. Over 40 years of IHG stays.
GGuest UserOur 1 and only place to stay in town! Delightful from pre trip to after, always personable and professional and a true treasure in every way. Loved the location, loved the service, loved the people and glad Chef Tony is right next door at Sam Miller's!! Thanks. Berkeley!!!
GGuest UserI wonder if the sheets have been changed? The sheets of both beds are dirty! A hotel that costs more than 1,000 yuan a night is really not worth it. There is not even a bottle of bottled water! The hair dryer is broken again! Very bad, very bad
We stayed at this hotel just for night but it was very good experience, room were with new furniture, full kitchen that was awesome because we were travelling with kids and in this hotel I had opportunity to cook breakfast for them, also outside there is a grill area with sitting places what is very nice , so, we had a very good experience with this hotel
BBarry SSomething has changed at this property...change of ownership or change of hospitality philosophy. I have stayed here for years with no issues. This stay was a trainwreck. While front desk staff was apologetic, property owner, who was also present, looked at me like I was crazy when i went to front desk to complain about the internet. Was dismissive, said he would restart the router, but service continued spotty, slow and would kick you off sporadically. While I am not a computer expert, I am relatively knowledgeable and former programmer. I had 4 devices with me, one a brand new dell laptop, and older dell laptop, ipad and iphone. internet was equally terrible on all four, extremely slow and unstable. Internet continued like this until i checked out the next day about 11am. Also, room had no smoke alarm, lights were burnt out over the mirror at the lavatory and there was no note pad or pen. I didn't even attempt to check out the continental breakfast. Previously when I stayed at this property, everything went well...it's not the hilton, but it was clean and everything worked. Be forewarned.
Start with a 5 - take off 1/2 circle because of the road noise, 1/2 for the poor bathroom setup (the soap shelf in the shower sticks out so you can bruise your back, it took five or more minutes to get hot water in the evening, some lesser issues), 1/2 off for the really dirty nightstand and light, and 1/2 off for no EV charger (c'mon, it's 2024, people stay at hotels because they travel and stay overnight). The beds were reasonably comfortable, and earplugs (the 30 decibel blocking kind) took care of the road noise. The hallways smelled of someone cooking but it was fine inside the room and most of the room was very clean - just the nightstand and light were fairly gross. Breakfast was good (it was not grab and go like they list on the web site) , but somewhat limited. As someone else mentioned, the ”balcony” was a concrete slab we couldn't get to because of a locked sliding door that had substantial air gaps (probably made the road noise worse too). The hotel was inexpensive and we were just passing through. I would stay again if nothing better was available, but I would definitely look elsewhere if we visit Richmond again.
