TownePlace Suites Jackson Ridgeland/The Township at Colony Park

Thanks TownePlace I enjoyed my stay. I was in town for a funeral and I got a chance to relax. The breakfast was 4-5 but was still refreshing. My overall stay was welcoming🙂

I was first given a room that was 80 degrees then told it would cool down then not offered any help moving to a colder room but struggled alone with my luggage to my new room where the tv was in pieces. I have stayed at this hotel off and on for several years and have always been treated like my business mattered. I will look elsewhere.

House keeper left toilet bowl scrubber in my tub 🤢🤢 no manager tried to correct it or clean my room. The thought of how many toilets have been cleaned and how much urine and doo doo has been on it just turns my stomach

The shower had low pressure and one of the elevators was inoperable. I left around 5 am the next morning so I asked for a small “to go” breakfast in a bag. I was told “we don’t do that” even though several other hotels have done that for me in the past. I will stay in another property on my next visit to this area. So much for being a Titanium Elite lifetime member!

We stayed here for a night while on a road trip. Came in late and left the next morning. No issues with check in or check out. Location is nice and safe. Our only real issue was that our clothing and suitcases had cat hair all over when we left. This is a bigger issue for us since one of our family is allergic to cats. Otherwise, likely a fine stay.

This location maintained the Marriott experiences that I have had in other cities. The location was clean and very well maintained. The Front Desk held a gentleman by the name of Russel who also appeared to be on breakfast duty most days. This was a family trip, so a pool would have been very nice, but there was lots that could be done all around this location. Walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

Do not do it. If u are looking for a comfortable bed or a comfortable place to sit. This is not the hotel to book. The hotel is ten years old and so is the furniture. If u can get past the holes in the carpet and years of soil on the sofa it was clean. I think the staff does great with what the have to work with

We are Bonvoy gold members, we travel a lot, splitting our stays between Hilton and Marriott. I have two points to make on this review - 1 We found a previous guests gold sandals under the bed along with trash debris. Which makes me question housekeeping. The refrigerator wasn’t working but maintenance was quick to replace it. 2- We stayed here (two rooms) and were charged a $50 fee for housekeeping. I have spent a week making calls and the manager at this location refuses to return my call. One associate said it was a carpet stain and that they had pictures of it, but they refuse to send me the picture. We did not stain the carpet, we did however have a late checkout, so was this tagged on us in reality to pay their staff? Who knows because after 4 phone calls (I have been very nice and cordial) the manager is simply avoiding responding to me. (Not to mention the last time I called 3 days ago I was told in a snide tone “ma’am if you were told she will call you back then she will call you back” well that’s apparently not true.) I will only stay at Hilton from now on, Home2Suites in this area is awesome, their point system is better anyways. It’s truly sad the lack of communication, I really expected more from a Marriott manager.

There was a smell in our room and figured out it was a sewer gas smell. My wife has allergies and asthma, and she had an attack when we were there, and we had to leave after 2 days. The first floor smelled fine, but when we went to the 2nd and 3rd floosr there was a strong perful chemical smell which means they were obviously trying to cover up the sewer gas smell. It was awful! We were on the 3rd floor and since the gas smell was so strong, they offered us another room and the strong perfumy chemical smell in the second room was so strong, we left that room in 30 minutes and had to return to the first room. Then they had the audacity to charge us for a room we had to leave after 30 minutes! The gas smell in the hallway on the second floor near Room 209 where they put us was very strong. We also couldn't close the bathroom door in the first room on the 3rd floor as it seems the building has shifted forward on its foundation, which shows in the cracks in the walls and the sloping ceiling towards the water feature outside! I read the review on here that was done in 2014 when we got home and couldn't believe that this issue with the smell has not been resolved! Shame on the Kerioth Corporation who has the franchise on this Marriott for not taking care of this problem.
