If you want to avoid the crowds in Ouray Ridgeway is a better option. Room was very nice. Beds are very comfortable. The pool and hot tubs on the balcony are maintained. The rooms are only cleaned by request. The breakfast is very minimal. Coffee and water only for drinks. For $250 a night it’s a little pricey.

We really enjoyed the property and had an amazing time celebrating our anniversary here. Wish the staff had better attitudes and were friendlier to the guests, felt like an inconvenience when needing their attention. I was not pleased to see they charged me multiple times over the month of April due to incorrect billing without any notice and didn’t seem to care when I called to get an explanation of why they charged me again 3 weeks after my stay. It was really unfortunate and not sure I will be staying again.

Planned a surprise getaway for my husband’s bday, and booked a King Suite w/private hottub on orbitz. Well they royally screwed up the booking and the hotel has us down for only a standard queen room. Orbitz was a nightmare to deal with to get this sorted, and my weekend would have been ruined if it weren’t for the front desk agent, Darcie, at Chipeta. What a saint! She was a pleasure to talk to (the several times I did) and sorted everything out that she could on her end to make sure we got the weekend I’d expected. Can’t say enough wonderful things about the awesome experience at this beautiful & tranquil hotel.

Driving through on a family trip to visit the National Parks. I don’t typically leave reviews but felt very mislead! The room was very outdated, stained carpet, odor, the property had dumpsters and caution tape- maybe it was under construction. If so, that information was not disclosed. Killed a spider or some strange bug in the bedroom. Couldn’t figure out how to turn the fire place on, no information or instructions given. Not greeted or acknowledged when we walked in the lobby for the continental breakfast which was convenient and appreciated. No elevator or at least we couldn’t find one and had to carry all luggage. Our hot tub was empty. We basically checked in, grabbed dinner in town and checked out as soon as possible first thing in the morning. Staff were having a business meeting right next to us when we were trying to enjoy coffee at the breakfast area. Not a place you want take hang out and relax. I can see potential but the place was a mess!

Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. It looked recently updated (clearly upgrades are in the works throughout). Counter service at check-in and checkout was fine. Having our own private hot tub surrounded by blooming lilacs was wonderfully relaxing. My only suggestion would be to also have seating of some kind on the patio with the tub (though it may have been available upon request). We only stayed overnight and didn't try the restaurant, bar, or access other resort amenities. Breakfast was pretty typical with a few options...nothing fancy, but fresh. We had a great stay!

We needed an extra bed for our son and the property manager went out of his way to accommodate us. He was professional and courteous in every way and introduced us to the staff in case we needed additional service. The property is getting additional investment to update the furnishings and external features which will make the facility even more inviting. Ridgway is a great little town with some great food options. We were especially taken with a little place called the 66 Eatery.
