Really lovely hotel in a great location. Place was very clean. The staff were all very friendly and the service was excellent. The food was also very nice. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and would recommend to others.

It's nice to find old staff at Pestana Rio Atlantica!
I frequented the hotel from 2001 with my child and we had a wonderful vacation!
Quite a few things have changed, but the sympathy of JR at the reception, the 2 S-S at the restaurant without forgetting Vivaldo at the entrance and the luggage.
At the pool bar, the maid from the 12th and other people made me feel like I was on vacation.
The only thing I regret is the size of the rooms: - Before the seafront suites were spacious and today if transformed into a small suite and the total space gave birth to 2 additional bedrooms.

This hotel is also close to Copacabana Beach, which has a geographical advantage. There were cockroaches in the room, poor breakfast, no hot water on the first night, so annoying. The gym is very small and the equipment is really bad.

The reservation for the partial ocean view room left much, much to be desired. It's an expensive hotel, super well located, with an incredible pool; however, the room had dirty paint, looks like it is under maintenance with plaster of plaster and the bathroom has slime; but the worst, was to check in at night at the hotel, on a rainy and cold night and not having a blanket in the hotel!!!! That's right!!! There were no blankets available as other guests took them too!
Lucas, the manager, was attentive the next day and suggested that we change rooms since that one should not have been released by maintenance.
