Hotel was nice . Said 24 hour bar and it wasn't said 24 hour room service and it wasnt ringing though to get room service was a farce. No one answered for ages. Bar closed early like ghost town from 7pm in the hotel

Hi everyone! This is me and my husband at our wedding just a few days ago! I have absolutely no words at all to explaining how fantastic the team are at Mercure Norton Grange Hotel and Spa. I got married on Saturday 20th July 2024 and I have been so looked after by Rama, Charlotte, Mark, Matthew and all the waitresses and waiters. I couldn’t fault a single thing. The food was the nicest food I have ever had in my life, all of our guests were made up. Rama, you are an exceptional manager and you have a heart of gold. You went above and beyond and I will never ever forget you. Charlotte, our wedding planner of the year 2024 award winner! You are incredible. I feel like I’ve known you for years. You are so enthusiastic, passionate and caring about every couple you work with. I will absolutely miss you. Thank you for helping to build the most magical day of my entire life. Mark is an incredible guy! And so is Matthew! The pair work so hard! They made me and my family feel like royalist! The team here are gold standard. I wish I could do it all over again! We had our wedding at the Norton grange. All I can say is absolutely amazing. After a big hiccup a few months before our big day (other wedding coordinator) no fault of Charlotte at all she and Rama was soon on sorting it out and it was resolved within 24 hours. Charlotte is absolutely amazing. Put me at ease every time I had a freak out over the smallest of things she made the planning and organising so much easier. She was always at the end of the phone no matter what day, even on her days off. This lady is superwoman.The day of the wedding went so smoothly. Charlotte and Rama was always checking in to make sure everything was ok. The food and service was fantastic. Our guests couldn’t say enough about the food. Myself and my husband can not thank you enough.

We have stayed at Norton Grange before and had a wonderful experience, but this time was completely different. The spa treatments and facilities were top notch but the experience went downhill when we went down to the restaurant for dinner. For starters we couldn't be seated in the restaurant as there were two birthday parties, so the hotel had put tablecloths on some of the small tables in the bar area. Our table was directly in front of the temporary reception desk and the front door, through which the stink of cigarette smoke wafted regularly. It was also situated about 20 feet from the bar. The table next to us had leftover food on the tablecloth and dirty cutlery & wine glasses, it remained like this the entire time we were sat there. The service was abysmal - after being seated we were not offered anything to drink and left sat at the table with our menus. We had to ask a waitress serving another customer to take our order. After waiting a further 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive, my wife had to go to the bar and ask where our bottle of wine was. It arrived shortly after this with no glasses. After waiting another 15 minutes I had to go to the bar to ask for two wine glasses. Three hours later we managed to finish our meal and I was told that I should pay at the bar. The staff then tried to charge me for the orders at two other tables including our own. All in all a terrible experience in the restaurant and judging by the amount of complaints coming from people on other tables around us, not an isolated one.

Stayed at this hotel on a few occasions and it’s been amazing however this time I went I was so disappointed the room I was given had a broken kettle so many stains on the wall and a huge red wine stain on the carpet although the staff was so helpful and there all so friendly I’m afraid the hotel has seen better days I went too the spa and had too pay a extra five pound for a robe and towel which I thought was provided with the room booking the spa was lovely and clean thou so not one complaint there Came too ordering room service after being charged an extra 5 pound for them too bring it too me they delivered me a frozen Chicago town pizza with some rocket salad on top and a stale cheese board with stale hard cheese and soggy crackers and charged me 45 quid pound for the pleasure Came too breakfast time and I took 3 portions of fruit too my table and all three of them was off the watermelon and orange was fizzy it was that bad I then tried pineapple same again ended up with a packet of Alpen which was nice I suppose but not worth the money in the slightest I told a member of staff who just shrugged and took it away no apologies no nothing at that point I decided too leave and go get a proper breakfast elsewhere fair too say I won’t be returning such a shame as I’ve had so many lovely nights there not sure what’s happened since my last visit early in the year

We had our wedding day on Saturday 13th July 2024 our wedding planner Charlotte it has been amazing from start to finish I would highly recommend Food was 10/10 and all of the hotel staff were amazing from start to finish The spa facilities are also amazing

We had our wedding here at the Norton grange on the 30th may and honestly was the best day we could have ever imagined. From start to finish the staff was amazing couldn’t do enough for us so helpful and accommodating. The food we had was outstanding and all our guests couldn’t talk about anything else of how good it was. Charlotte our wedding planner was always there to ensure we had everything we wanted and nothing was a problem. To the events manager Mark we stayed for a few days mark still made us feel like we were the only guests in the hotel. He was always making sure everything was ok and everything was perfect for us, even down to making my daughter bottles of milk at 1.30 in the morning. Our wedding was perfect in every way but the staff absolutely made it couldn’t ask for anything more even down to the bar staff to the reception staff. Definitely recommend doing your wedding here. Me and my husband have since booked a few tribute nights here as well purely down to the food and the staff are. We can’t wait for our next stay. Louise & Jordan Smallwood x

What can we say other than our wedding day at the Norton Grange was absolutely amazing! Charlotte took over as our wedding coordinator in November and she has been brilliant, very professional and nothing has been too much trouble...even on my wedding day when I felt a bit under the weather, she brought me lots of boiled water with honey and lemon which worked a treat :-). Also a big thank you to the hotel Manager Rama who constantly checked in with us on the day to make sure we were happy with everything, which of course we were. You can tell he is passionate about his hotel and it certainly shows! We have got to say all the staff were brilliant, they couldn't do enough for us and everything went smoothly. Big shout out to Mark our MC whose attention to detail on the day made everything effortless and he works so hard, Just one thing to say to any upcoming brides and grooms in the coming months, despite our concerns the renovations currently being undertaken at the hotel had absolutely NO impact on our day....in fact you would never have known any works were being carried out, we saw nothing, heard nothing and our guests were completely unaware of any works being undertaken. In fact when we asked them, their responses were, 'what renovation works?'. Our day was just....PERFECT!! Just wish we could re-live it again and again. Thank you to each and everyone of you at the Norton Grange....x

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting family and the grounds are lovely, but the room didn’t feel like a 4 star hotel and I was very disappointed in the state of the bathroom. The shower head was corroded and black and I had to complain to front desk, as I definitely wasn’t going to shower my one year old with it. They said they were fully booked so couldn’t change my room. As an alternative, I suggested that they change the shower head and the staff member said they would speak with the general manager. She came back and said he agreed to change the shower head and they did so relatively quickly. I also mentioned that I thought the sink may have been leaking. The manager checked it and said he didn’t think so, perhaps the water was from cleaning, but he put a towel behind it just incase. In all honesty, that’s the type of resolution I expect from maybe a 3 star hotel. I would say this initial experience dampened my stay. I was worried about what else might not have been cleaned.

My visit to Norton grange was great. The room was very cosy and spacious, we had an evening meal at the restaurant the service was great and food tasted delicious. The spa treatments and therapist were amazing! I will definitely be returning back in the future as we throughly enjoyed our stay and spa experience 🤩

I went to use the Spa and had a massage. I have never been before. and will definitely be going again. Massage was great, thanks Millie. Spa was great and had a pool. Lunch was in the price which was really nice. I paid £73 and it was well worth it. Thanks.

I attended this hotel for a driving medical and registered my car. A week later I received a parking fine from an external company. I appealed and they replied saying they had no record of registering my car but they would accept £20!! If I appealed I would no longer be allowed to pay the £20. This did not seem right, so I phoned the hotel who confirmed I did register my car and the hotel waived my fine! This is nothing short of a scam!!
