Courtyard Rock Hill

Stayed here for the race at Darlington. Was surprised to find Bistro breakfast and coffee came with a charge. We didn’t see it open the entire weekend. The rooms were ok but the outlet and switch covers were falling off and there was no fan in the bathroom which is kinda gross. Overall it was a little disappointing for a Marriott and the price. The location was nice and the staff was great.

I can’t rave more about this place. Everyone was so very nice, the room were immaculate, and we got the best sleep of the week.

Staff was exceptionally good. They were attentive and friendly. I give them an A !

Our stay started off OK, room's AC was working well and it appeared clean. But from there, it went south. Housekeeping never came. Every day we needed to ask for towels. Tissues ran out. One day, towels were put in the room but beds weren't made, and they left a wet towel on one of the beds. Breakfast is not included, only coffee is included in the lobby. But the lobby coffee ran out. There is a coffee maker in the room, but since housekeeping never came, it was never replenished, once your 2 coffee packets were gone, that was it. Water pressure was fine and I've stayed in worse rooms, but that isn't exactly glowing praise for a Marriott property. Another person in our group had a room with the bathroom lightbulb burned out. The young woman at the desk was alone and offered a bulb for the room. So, after climbing up to replace their own bulb, they found it was a circular fluorescent bulb - so the bulb the hotel offered couldn't fix the issue. That meant they couldn't shower as the bathroom was dark. The hotel was fully booked, so switching rooms wasn't an option. We are returning to Rock Hill this weekend and will not stay here again!

Loved the setting of the hotel! It was nestled in the trees about 1/4 block off the main roadway which reduced the noise greatly! The 2 young ladies who greeted us & checked us in were fabulous! They immediately made you feel at home & welcomed! The room was spacious. Loved the set-up for the coffee bar, microwave & fridge, Very user friendly!! Well thought out!

I would be very skeptical of other reviews, they look planted. This is NOT Marriott courtyard standards. The rooms are not clean. Old and dated. Our TV didn’t work. Our shower drain backed up and we couldn’t shower. They offered us a different room that clearly hadn’t been cleaned (toilet wasn’t even flushed). The girl at the front desk was so sweet, I felt so bad for her. We were polite and kind and left our number to speak to the manager, she never called, guess she didn’t care. When we got back to the room the sweet from desk girl was still struggling to get maintenance into our room, which wasn’t fixed. She asked if I wanted to speak to the manager now, to which I said “if she doesn’t feel it’s important enough to contact unhappy hotel guests, we really don’t care to talk to her.” Terrible management! To add insult to injury my wife cut her leg shaving because she couldn’t finish her shower that was over flowing. No Marriott worthy. Check my record, i NEVER write reviews. You know this place is a bad experience to see me write. As a long time bonvoy member, this shakes my confidence in Marriott

The staff were super friendly and very helpful. The room was extremely comfortable. I intend on visiting this location again in the future. 10/10 would recommend.
