Came in for town for an event at Winthrop Coliseum and was looking for a nice inexpensive place to stay. Clarion Point was very close to Winthrop. The owner and staff were very friendly during check in and check out. The hotel is clean and smelled good. Our room was spacious for relaxing, it was clean and modern. They do have a free breakfast but the only hot items were potatoes, biscuits, and sausage gravy with little sausage. You could make waffled and toast bread. Since we were on a keto diet the only thing we could eat was the boiled eggs. Which they would have had scrambled eggs and a meat choice. Not sure if they change up the hot items routinely or not. They did have fruit, yogurt and juice. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a clean, convenient and reasonable price place to stay.

Windows dont open but that could be a good thing cos the amount of people smoking **** these days in usa is plain stupid.

UNSAFE. Drop ceilings in a hotel room?!? If I had noticed before 10pm we’d have left and found another place to stay. As it was I did not sleep. The drop ceiling tiles are not fixed, and extend from inside the room to the hallways. The doors are loose and the latches are one firm push away from bursting open. A motel masquerading as a hotel by covering the outdoor walkways. What’s worse is the lobby is SO misleading, and you don’t really know what you’re in for until after you’ve checked in. Also -NO ELEVATOR. Everything was dirty and covered in a layer of dust or grime. I didn’t even bother with complaining, we left at 7am without even attempting the breakfast. Absolutely would not recommend. The staff was nice enough but literally every other aspect of this place screamed danger.

It was nice to have breakfast included. The area around the hotel was kinda sketchy. The shower in our bathroom wasn't the cleanest. Not too bad for the price I guess.

Nicely remodeled facility with very pleasant staff. The rooms have window units with no ability to keep the fan continuously running so you listen to the air cut on and off every 10-15 minutes throughout the night, making it difficult to sleep.
